Part four of the Lantana fashion and thought bubbles series.
All of the romance in my future webcomic: A subplot where two teens look away from each other and blush.
Anyway, these are the first two parts of my series of paintings of characters in Lantana Kingdom alt outfits and with thought bubbles.
(Yes, her skirt is made out of paper.)
Here's a painting of Luna I did for my illustration class.
Here's a group picture that I first drew almost a year ago, but I only recently finished it. It was made with only black colored pencil and copic markers (no pencil). The skin colors aren't 100% accurate, and everyone with blush is female.
Light Lantana fashion and repeating shapes.
Luna's outfits are the most fun to design.
I got 100 watchers on DeviantArt. :D
Here is the version of my 'thank you' picture without text.
Here is Space-time Queen Quianna and King Gorlassar! One of my friends moved to a different country in June, and I wanted to draw her a picture of my characters that she wanted to see a full-body picture of. I kind of went overboard with the background and lazy with the hands.... The background is a combination of a drawing from the flame painter demo, and basically all of the space-like textures in my favorites.
I redrew another thing from my first art dump. Even her name changed!
Mrs. Shine is the mother of Scarlet and Stardust. She is also an astronomer who likes to tell dad jokes. I don't have a first name for her yet.
Here's some girls from Skikkjan Village. After basically repainting the whole thing, I couldn't decide whether I loved it or hated it... I guess that's what happens when you actually bother to paint backgrounds. This is what it looked like before I repainted it. (What a difference a layer makes!)
Here's the last sketchdump drawing! (Unless someone wants larger versions of the other three.)
Anyway, this is Iris's style. It is also how she actually draws.
Another sketchdump drawing: Gracie's style. ( I used the same hand position as her card because I didn't intend to upload this online at the time.)
I should have added more sparkles.
Another picture from the sketchdump: Some lady from Lantana kingdom.
Here's another drawing from the sketchdump!
An alternate idea I had for my trading cards was to give each of my characters their own style based on their personality. This is my concept for Scarlet.
From the sketch dump. She's a random girl from Lantana Kingdom with somewhat normal looking hair.
I'm posting larger versions of my drawings from my most recent sketch dump on Deviantart. One will be posted daily until I get back from camp. Let's hope it works? If it doesn't I will just post them when I get back.
A quick painting of Luna.
Artist trading cards I did for art club last semester! These are 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches (the size trading cards usually are). They are painted with acrylic.
I have been split between drawings this week, so here is a quick, older painting of the Queen of All Elements. She still has no name. I wanted to change her face a bit, but I think I am going to keep the old eyebrows.
9/12 Violet turned out a bit larger than the rest because I messed up copying the height chart.
I filled out Griffsnuff's Ultimate OC Meme. I took a lot out, and it turned into doodles by the end. I had to change most of my handwriting because it was unreadable. I split it up into four parts. Hopefully it will format properly?
Edit: It didn't. Does anyone know how to do that?
8/12. Echo has a bit of a big head.
I'm not going to upload the last four parts until school is out, so there will be unrelated art for the next few weeks.
7/12. This is my favorite one so far. Unlike Misty, Stardust's colors work well with multiple light sources. She is mostly in proportion, and her clothing folds are the best so far. Yay, progress.
6/12 Halfway there! I decided to draw Misty before Violet because I'm drawing a picture of Violet for school. I don't like her shirt folds or ponytail , so I'll fix them in the finished picture. Also her color scheme always ends up giving me trouble. Hopefully it worked this time? The trend of big feet continue.
5/12. Unlike the rest of the characters, I drew her with a smaller head and larger feet. I'll probably end up going with big feet and heads because that is cute. The wind on her clothes doesn't make complete sense, but this was not that well thought out of a drawing.
4/12. The original idea I had for Luna's pose was to similar to Gracie's (coming up next), so the pose I went with had a really awkward hand. I decided to just make her holding her skirt because I already had the wind, and Luna is a very proper girl.
3/12. Iris has the worst anatomy (I posted the last picture after I finished this), but I will not be ale to fix it until the final picture, for obvious reasons. (Those aren't even all of the layers, but the rest wouldn't need that much fixing.) She does have a more interesting pose though!
I was going to make her paint purple, but yellow light with purple shadows looked better than the other way around.
Edit: This is unfortunately blurry looking due to the extra height. This will not be a problem in the finished picture.
2/12. This is part of the same project as the last painting, and the rest should (hopefully) have more interesting poses and better anatomy. Fact: Rain is the only male main character, and he is the only main character whose shirt symbol isn't directly related to his powers.
