Guess who finally finished the full markings references?

Woohoo! So glad these are done! Mikeys was done way before the rest lmao

Also @alienneingreen helped with Leo’s shell and marking designs!

As a note, a couple things in the references haven’t happened yet as of the current fic.

1. Raph hasn’t got his tattoo (Casey dared him to and then gave it himself, it’s not a serious tattoo and he wears a patch to cover it), because they haven’t yet met Casey (he’s soon though don’t worry!!)

2. Leo does not yet have his knee scar! He gets that a little ways down the storyline :)

Welcome to the first chapter of TMNT AU! I had so much fun writing this and I hope you enjoy! More chapters will be written soon.

I also gave it a name! TMNT: Turtles of the Hour! I’m going to be tagging it under ‘turtles of the hour’ and adding the tag to the previous posts regarding it! This is one of my first works of writing I’m sharing so I’m a bit nervous but I hope it’s enjoyed :))

The Big Bads of my TMNT au, there are more villains besides these guys though.

From left to right, top to bottom we got:

The Shredder

- Head of the foot clan

- Over 150 years old

- Angriest and most vengeful man ever

- Has weird episodes where he becomes monstrous, becoming larger and tougher to beat. They are triggered by Karai and seeing any of the living Hamato clan, however, sometimes they are random.

- Wants his daughter to be under control and is succeeding

The Foot

- The main members of Shredder’s elite foot soldiers are Usagi, Koya, Fishface, Alopex, Bebop, Rocksteady, and eventually Karai

- The foot soldiers in Japan do not know about mutants. They believe they are yokai and treat them as such.

- Usagi just wants to get back to his world and is using the foot to try and do so.

- Koya is the Shredder‘s personal messenger, she was accidentally mutated when she passed over a battle on a delivery. She is very loyal to the Shredder. I can’t draw birds.

- Fishface is just a little guy, probably involved in some crime before the shredder, idk yet but he’s got a place ;)

- Alopex was one of the first mutants to join Shredder‘s crew. She was purposefully mutated by the kraang for Big Mama but left the battle nexus as it threatened the life of her brother, Tigerclaw, who is not apart of the foot.

- Bebop and Rocksteady were part time security workers at concerts and full time dumbasses before their mutation. They are now lackies.

- Karai goes into a little more spoiler territory, BUT, she is the Shredder‘s daughter.

Big Mama

- has a deal with everyone

- Runs an illegal gambling and fighting ring called the Battle Nexus.

- A little power crazy, just a smidge

- Presents herself as delicate so that people underestimate her.

- Human (for now)

The Purple dragons

- A gang with control over parts of Queens. They have three main subsections:

- The schools, dealing with high schooler lackeys

- The tech, dealing with technological crimes and wealth gain

- And Representatives, the higher ups that runs the whole operation.

- In the drawing are the three leaders for each subsection; Jason on the right, Kendra on the left, and Hun in the middle. Hun gets a glow up at one point don’t worry

The Kraang

- A race of aliens that travel throughout the universe to conquer everything in it.

- Possession abilities

- Have cloaking broaches and exosuits

- View Earth-beings as not advanced but still need to use some of them to establish their rule

Voice claims for my TMNT au! Still working on a name! Sorry for the low quality I did this on my laptop and screen recorded it to my phone lol! Really proud of the Casey drawing at the end, might post it seperately with the story that comes with it! Might! The rest are just doodles lol

In need of names for my TMNT au! Please suggest any if you’ve got an idea!!! Asks are on or comment or send a message! I have an idea but I’m still debating on whether it’s too stupid 😅😅

Im also thinking of doing little snippets of story or rants similiar to the way the colorcoded au creator does because I’m not the best at drawing action even if I’m trying to learn and practise

I might end up just doing it anyway lol, BUT some of the story will be revealed soon I know that

- Tokay Gecko

- Mikey’s half-time bestie, half-time stalker. Very attached

- Matching friendship bracelets!

- His favourite band is called To-K and it’s grunge!

- As soon as he left high school, he joined the foot clan after seeing a flyer and wanting to be a cool ninja

- He was mutated as a show of loyalty from the foot clan to the kraang against his will

- Very upset to have lost his hair </3

- The foot clan couldn’t train him to be a good fighter no matter how hard they tried

- Got snake-bite lip piercings after mutation and after leaving the foot

- Skaterboy

- Says ‘booyakasha’

- Very obsessive

- Mikey and him see a concert of To-K’s together in the late canon

- Owns one pair of pants

I hope he comes off creepy enough but also cute!! I like his story and will probably do a post about it soon!!

I got new pens and pencils at the time of drawing this and got very excited

Aprillllll!!!

- At the start of the story she’s just ending high school but throughout the course of it she’s mainly in college

- Her major is journalism with a minor in chemistry

- Camera bag, never has the time to set it up

- Bleached her hair and it came out ginger, she likes it, roots are always visible

- Good older sister to the turtles, met them when she was ~10

- Met Raph first (I’ll do a whole post on how they met eventually)

- Refuses to wear the glasses she’s been prescribed and hates contacts

- Soooo stubborn

- Didn’t have friends in high school

- Donnie and her are besties

- Donnie hates her fashion sense

- Mikey keeps stealing from her (help)

- Very protective over her younger brothers + Casey

- Best social awareness out of the group

- Weilds a bat that she got as a gift from Casey

- Considered the weird kid at school

- Always has energy

- Her father (Kirby) and mother (Alice) have met the turtles and Splinter over a family dinner. They though that they were weird but ok for April as she didn’t have any other friends. They were pretty open about being mutants but her parents didn’t seem to catch on and just thought they had some weird birthmarks or conditions. The turtles come over a lot.

- Very happy when they meet Karai, and overall very excited to meet new people

- Name anything and she knows how to do it because she’s had a job that required it before (SCUBA, sharpening knives, crane operating, etc)

- Super supportive, up for anything

Casey!!

- 16

- 5’7

- Puerto Rican

- All his weapons are taken from the school’s gym, and he carved his name into them

- Met Don before the others but he didn’t really know he was a mutant yet

- Had no phone until Don gave him one, doesn’t like going online

- Been homeschooled his whole, just started regular school after his mother passed

- 7 year old sister, Angel

- Hockey player, duh

- Works as a mechanic, part time

- FtM

- LOVES spider man

- Listens to Bikini Kill and Lana Del Ray, uses music as escapism

- Scholarship student because of his hockey ability

- Gets Don to tutor him

- Accidental enabler (especially with Raph)

- Met April when he was very little, they are family friends

Casey Jones tends to be my favourite character in TMNT iterations so I hope I did him justice in mine!

Donnie!

* 16, Leo’s younger twin

* 5’11, tallest by a lot

* This turtle is so tired

* seeks validation through his tech

* Is heavily addicted to Fortnite and caffeine

* Outrigger splints for radial nerve palsy from damage done to the nerve via self-experimentation. He adapted the splints to be gloves and fits a tonne of tech in them

* He streams on twitch with his face-cam. He tells them it’s a 3D vtuber model, he hates his chat because they try to rile him up.

* Invites Leo on stream to mess with him, Raph and Mikey don’t like being on stream bc of his gamer rage

* Likes to think he’s rebellious (he just stays up late and has been caught a couple times)

* Wasn’t interested in training until he adapted his bo and learnt that if he wants his tech to back him up in battle, he has to learn how to fight with it. Still prefers to not train when he can

* Headphones are noise-cancelling and can function as earmuffs

* Inventor of T-ASL (turtle-American sign language), used in ninja work and in non-verbal episodes

* Mad temper which he doesn’t understand

* Terrible liar

* he got autism hasn’t he

* Leo’s right hand man

* Raph’s on Donnie’s self-experimentation watch (appointed by Leo), so he tries to get him to help out at least a little bit.

* Raph and Mikey pick on him all the time because it’s funny to get him mad

* Mikey and him prank their brother’s together

* 14, youngest!

* 5’2 (just under Leo)

* His knee pad mysteriously changes face anytime you can’t see him

* Wants to be just like Leo!

* He has small claws

* He’s a chef but not a baker (Leo tried to teach him one time and it came out awful)

* Super flexible

* Loves acrobatics and watches it at the olympics with Raph (who likes all sorts of sports besides swimming)

* Eastern Long-necked turtle

* Steals stuff from everyone (got his tessen from April’s wall)

* Extremely emotionally intuitive and expressive, he can’t hide them at all

* Super dense

* Painter but especially graffiti art. He takes lots of pride in his art and is always scared to show his brothers — they always love it.

* Makes music but doesn’t sing, plays the most random instruments (bassoon, santour, synthesiser, the bottle, etc)

* Him and Leo enable eachother’s silly sides of the brain

* Raph and Mikey create together, art and music. They also play video games together! Raph is way too overprotective of him tho

* Mikey and Don confide their emotions in eachother
