What? 💀 I just got back and this is what I see?
Aight so recently, I received an accusation claiming that I plagiarized someone else's story. Let me take a moment to address this with honesty and clarity. I say this with nothing but the truth: every chapter, every line, and every story I have shared comes purely from my own mind and heart. My work is my own, and I stand by that with confidence.
Now, I understand the skepticism—of course, it's easy to say "I didn't plagiarize" when you're being accused. But I ask you, genuinely, what else can I say? Writing is deeply personal to me, and I put a significant amount of effort into crafting each story. My goal has always been to create something unique while staying true to my own pace and vision.
It's also worth pointing out that, in this space, many writers naturally explore similar themes, storylines, and characterizations. Insert-reader stories especially tend to have overlapping elements, such as familiar character traits or shared background stories. This doesn’t come from copying each other but from the shared tropes and patterns within these genres that many of us, as writers and readers, are drawn to. While I strive to make my stories as distinctive as possible, I am also navigating within this broader framework of shared creative inspiration.
I want to acknowledge, sincerely, that if there are any details in my work that seem similar to someone else’s, it was never intentional. I apologize if my efforts to make my stories unique fell short in some areas—it’s a constant journey as a writer to refine and differentiate one’s work. That said, accusing me of plagiarism disregards the hard work, creativity, and emotional investment I have poured into my writing.
For me, balancing storytelling with the realities of everyday life—managing responsibilities, nurturing a social life, and grappling with my own personal challenges—has not been easy. Writing is an outlet, a passion, and something that I hold dear. That’s why accusations like these hurt deeply, and why I won’t simply accept being unfairly accused.
I hope this clears up any confusion or doubt. As for the said author, I will not reveal their name nor their work. As I do admit that I respect them and their work. To those who support me, your encouragement means everything, and I am grateful for it. To those who may still question, all I can ask is that you approach with understanding and fairness. At the end of the day, storytelling is about connecting, sharing, and growing, and I will continue to do just that.
