Has anyone noticed that, at least in s4, byler dresses kind of like jopper? It's most noticeable in the end scene, where they're all on the hill overlooking Hawkins
Edit: i was gonna add this originally but forgot the word, & this is well known, but byler also parallels like all of the canon ships(lumax, jancy, jopper, etc) in smaller ways like this. Ex. the way scenes are framed, the emotion of scenes
i physically cannot see them romantically no matter what. like they can be making out and it’s still literally just a gay guy and his girl best friend
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH Y'ALL (AUGUST VERSION)
not all ships are For wanting them to be in a happy healthy relationship together. sometimes shipping two characters means you want them to be erotically obsessed with each other and become entwined in a mutually toxic love affair for a few months and then horrifically break each other's hearts and never speak again. sometimes you want them to be codependent best friends with enough repression to explode a submarine who only make out/have sex when they're at their worst. sometimes you want them to pine after each other for years, never say anything, and then die. sometimes you want them to kill each other. this, too, is shipping
Can you make a poll for the headcanons-
a) transmasc Mike
b) transmasc Will
c) neither/see results
I am conducting a research LOL.
(to anyone who sees the poll, pls reblog it as i want majority opinions)
oh, wow, interesting poll idea. (also, ty for my first ever poll rq :o)
I just wanna say. There's something deeply poetic to me about how Nigel thinks about the Templar knights. They were, to him, the epitome of greatness and something to look up to. Something he seemed to wish he could be. But the crusaders (and thus the Templars) ultimately lost, there were like 10 crusades and they didn't win a single one. And Nigel absolutely has to know that, not just from how obsessed with it he is but it's a religious school for crying out loud. And also just common info.
Nigel wanted to be a person who partook, though not directly, in a battle he knew he wouldn't win. He wanted to ultimately die, alongside so many others, for what would ultimately be nothing. They protected people as they traveled, that's really all the Templar knights did. He saw himself as a protector in some way. Dying in the name of a god that didn't save them.
No clue if this actually makes sense I'm very high. Just food for thought.
Found this graphic and i really appreciate having options for activism that aren't going to protests.
I'm having trouble thinking of where to go in the fic I've posted, and in hopes of being slightly productive with my time, have returned to an unfinished Au. I've gotten stuck on one part though, which isn't too big of a deal, but I'd like some input. If they were forced to stay in a room with only one bed, do yall think Alex would let Nigel take the bed and sleep on the floor, or would he make Nigel sleep on the floor? I'm kinda torn bc I feel like he'd think he deserves the bed more, but I also think he'd have a bit of a soft spot for Nigel and wouldn't want him on the floor
Update: I've written a bit more, and I think it's a decent amount for a first chapter, but I'm having some difficulty thinking of a title for it to post, so it'll be a little while until I'm able to actually post it on ao3. I'll keep giving updates as I go. However, the updates may be few and far between, I'm great at procrastinating and forgetting about projects, and I haven't actually written anything seriously in about 5 years
I've started writing a (possible) fic for like minds because it's taken over nearly my entire mind, and I've read nearly all of the fics on ao3 by now. This is what I've got at the moment, i can't decide if i should post it. I've also never actually posted anything on ao3 before, which doesn't help
What do yall think i should do?
Did I love this book? Yes. 100%. Do I remember anything about it? Absolutely not.
