Most of my current art will be reposts from my art insta though they still ring true to my current interests. There was a cool patterned shirt I saw @ a thrift store window that reminded me a lot of Damien's palette, so I decided to draw him in a summery fit just in time for... summer! The weather's been pretty great lately, but man it is running late on its spring schedule.

Ok I lied. Today wasn't that uneventful. Decided to really sit down and think about the racial and socioeconomic implications of my favourite fictional disfunctional but hopefully not OOC (...by too much) best friends 'group parents but if the parents needed a divorce or marriage counselling' gut-wrenching situationship thats "sorta canon x oc but not really because the 'oc' second guy actually exists in canon but only in 3 lines of text" OTP yet NOTP unserious bromance romance BUT "not one over the other because they're just as effectively bad together as friends as they are a couple but I don't want to queerbait but also I don't want to undermine the sheer tenacity of a friendship between two of the messiest teenagers ever" complicated ass ship in an attempt to make these characters convincingly feel like real humans by showing that while not defining their character, factors like your cultural values, racial and ethnic background, relationship to money, the people you're surrounded and surrounding yourself with, the environment you grew up in and the expectations that you followed or rebelled against all play roles in shaping how one's identity is formed and that every little interaction that has or hasn't happen does subtly mold how you see yourself-- which obviously affects relationships where you will be analyzing the other person based on their identity and what similarities and differences you have and how you work together with similarities or how differences in experience and perspective can either help or hinder the relationship and how you act in said relationship that best suits your individual personal needs.

Since today's date is sort of a palindrome(?) I decided to break out these earlier pieces like some fine china. TENET is the movie you'd *least* expect me to like, but here we are! It's one of my favourite damn movies ever (both as an extremely convoluted time travel sci-fi/action flick AND as a deeply tragic queer love story)

I'M SAYING LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!! It shows up subtly too. Some folks are so quick to prop Shane up as the face of Buzzfeed Unsolved (I swear some "BFU funniest moments" compilations are 95% Shane just existing) when Ryan made one of the most successful webseries of the 2010s, is the one who does a lot of the research into the videos/content, invites Shane on and is frankly just as funny. But thennn there's the whole Watcher event from yesteryear where Shane is nooooowhere in the conversation?? Where was all that attention?? Poking fingers at Ryan and Steven. They only felt the weight of Shane's "betrayal" WHICH TELLS YOU HOW THEY THOUGHT ABOUT RYAN AND STEVEN TO BEGIN WITH!!! Holy mackerel.

Like obvs not a Shane hate post but holy fuck is Ryan so underappreciated/overhated in his own projects
