chaotic academia, a concept : scribbling lorde’s lyrics aggressively on a napkin, burning candles and touching the wax with your fingers, getting ink on your white shirt, choosing to stay up to read when you have to wake up four hours later, brewing tea while shivering in your cold kitchen, compiling your last minute notes in a small dark cafe, going out from your home in the rain to buy yourself an umbrella, feeling homesick at home

The amount of time that the Ancient Egyptian civilisation lasted is just so mind boggling. It lasted over 3000 years. That's such an insane amount of time. It ended around 30BC meaning that it will only be extinct for as long as it existed in around 950 years. Cleopatra lived closer to the invention of bitcoin than the building of the pyramids of Giza. They were already ancient to her. What the fuck

Hating how elitist and eurocentric the dark academia community became, I would truly appreciate that you leave some recommendation of book written by people of color, for I noticed that I am guilty of the eurocentric part, but I am really want to educate myself and read more non-white books.

i’m coining a new literary criticism called feralism and it’s when you wildly misread the text as a glamorization of hedonism like how we as a society read the great gatsby and now want to throw banging 20s themed gatsby parties or read the secret history and want to hold a bacchanal. it recognizes literature as a vessel for the repressed human need to just lose your fucking mind.

i relate to henry winter a lot because i too am a chaotic bisexual who would murder a sexist homophobic asshole if the circumstances deemed it necessary.
