What we forget about the elements

Fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius: Fire is not just limitless energy that gives and gives, these Signs are not the joyous, endlessly outgoing people they are portrayed to be. Fire is also the Element of destruction, hunger and pain. Fire Signs are not just happy go lucky kids, they're hungry for power, they're determined, they're not to be reckoned with.

Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: Earth is the Element of support and cold strength but without the proper care and attention Earth becomes lifeless, unable to create and maintain the way these Signs are meant to. Earth Signs need interaction, attention, and care the same as all other Elements to stay as strong as they are.

Air - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius: Air is known for its focus on the mental and avoidance of emotion but these are not the mechanical people they are often portrayed as. Air Signs need to interact with others, to speak and communicate about all things, including emotion. Connecting with others is always key to this Element. They are warm and open, not cold or inhuman.

Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces: "Emotional" is the word that comes to mind when most think of Water Signs but we often misinterpret "emotional" for "sad" or "weak". Water Signs feel their every emotion: rage, desire, joy - every single one - as if it were a tidal wave. They are in touch with their true selves and there is nothing more powerful than that.

WHAT IF

but what if every single person in the undertale fandom woke up in undertale. like we all just ended up on the start menu and everyone had the chance to do a pacifist, neutral, or genocide run and we all just split up into 3 groups and went on the adventure in our groups.

and then when we get to a boss we all work together to fight and oh my god would that be perfect or what.

but whenever you get game over in game you wake up back in the real world but you still have whatever you got in the game. like you wake up in the real world with a spider donut and a stick.

but wait.

you also wake up with whoevers phone number you get. so, you can always call them in the real world.

also.

if you end up beating the game, when you reset, it starts your game over. you can keep playing the game, with whoever survives, as long as you don’t die.

nobody in the fandom knows how anybody got there.

but you all love it.

How to make a pumpkin head

Since I defs didn’t want to carve a real pumpkin to put on my head and get nasts pumpkin insides all over my hair I decided to paper mache one. Unfortunately there was no good tutorials anywhere so I will share my trial and error knowledge.

First I got some supplies: 1 Punch balloon (they’re rounder and larger they regular balloons), some paper mache stuff in a bag, cardboard, a glue gun, paint, sculpey clay, tape, some news paper and some water and flour mixed together.

I then put at least three - five paper mache layers of newspaper with flour water on the balloon. I also measured my head and left an opening at the bottom. (NOTE: Don’t put tape on the balloon and try to peel it off after you’re done paper macheing, RIP)

After that’s all dry I put glue gunned some cardboard onto it to give it some pumpkin like ridges.

Then I filled the gaps between the cardboard and the newspaper with the paper mache in a bag stuff. Wait for it to dry. (Note: Don’t pop balloon until the paper mache in a bag stuff is dry cause it holds a LOT of water and your paper mache project will sink, RIP) After that I popped the balloon and lightly dampened the top with a sponge and water until it was wet enough to slowly press down into more of a pumpkin shape.

After it’s all dry I taped a stem I made out of card board on the top and put another layer or two of newspaper mache over top.

More drying wait time (you can use your oven on the lowest setting to make it dry faster) then I sanded it down and cut out a face with an exacto blade.

I added a little bit of backing behind the face on the inside with the paper mache in a bag to give it more of a 3D look which wasn’t that noticeable but oh well, it kidna worked… After all that stuffs done I painted it all white otherwise the newsprint would bleed through and make my colours not as bright, I also added some sculpey clay to the brow area to give it some more emotion in which I used an iron to dry it with cause it was too late to put it in the oven with paint all over it (Note: Put clay on before painting).

I sprayed it with a sealer before painting colours on it cause I find acrylics do weird things sometimes. After it was all dry I begin to paint.

I also painted the inside a red and added a kinda head rest thing on the inside since when I pushed the top down it made an uncomfortable point at the top when putting it on your head. Then once it was all dry I sprayed it with some more sealer, added some cool stuff like stitches with some ribbon and blood which I used nail polish for a shiny effect and put in some lights which weren’t very effective when my head was in the pumpkin but that’s okay, it still looked cool.

Convention Tips~

Day Before

Pack a bag with: water-bottle, snacks, money, phone, phone charger, anything you want signed, headphones, jacket

 What to wear:

If you are cosplaying: cosplay, comfy shoes (bring extra make up and change of comfy clothes)

If you are not cosplaying: geeky/anime/nerd t-shirts and appropriate bottoms, comfy shoes for lots of walking (sneakers are good), jacket if cold

Before you sleep: charge phone to full battery, check prepacked bag, check finalized meeting times and place, check how long it will take to get there

Day Of

-Wake up at least an hour before you plan to leave the house

-Pack phone and charger and get dressed in attire

-Have a full stomach and empty bladder before leaving the house

-Get in car with directions to convention

(when driving, send update text to friends you are meeting around every 20 describing weather, traffic, and how excited you are)

-When at destination, do not enter convention without entire group

(if there before other, stay in an area with good signal and/or in site of arriving cars for meet up)

-Enter convention as a group

-Register your tickets (only have to do this on first day)

-Register props (if cosplaying. NO WEAPONS)

-Enter convention floor

Convention Hours

*-Stick together with group at all times (some have a group call to find each other in crowds)

***-Take a partner to bathroom, booth, etc.

-Do not take an item away from a booth unless already purchased

*-Use your manners in the crowds (“excuse me” “pardon me” “sumimasen”)

-Refrain from Otaku Talk (“omg! That cosplay is super kawaii-desu!” “I love you character name!!!1! :3”)

-Set up emergency meeting spot if someone gets lost

***-Always check phone for messages from group

-Take lots of pictures~

-Try not to offend anyone

-Do not point out every set of boobies, be it hentai poster or cosplayer

-Do not shame the other fandoms (bronies, furries,etc)

-It is okay to ask someone in cosplay for a picture (they really appreciate it)

-It is okay to decline a booth vender’s offer

-It is okay to fan over the voice actors and guests (in moderation)

-It is not okay to make the guests uncomfortable (dirty jokes, etc)

-It is not okay to interview people unless you have a convention registered badge

-It is okay to cry (if for some reason you have to)

-It is okay to geek out with other convention goers

*-It is okay to make new friends at conventions (please beware the stalker crazy people)

*-If you are tired or hungry, tell the group, they probably are too

*-If you want to purchase something tell someone in the group so they don’t accidentally ditch you

-Before purchasing something, walk around more and see if you actually want it (also check prices for deals at other booths)(also check online for deals)

-If you purchase something, it is your responsibility to carry it

*-We suggest that you buy your big purchases (posters, wigs, figurines, etc) toward the end of the con

-Often check on your things, do not leave them unattended

***-Watch the clock

*-Keep hydrated

***-Con food is overpriced and usually not so good, try to bring your own or wait till dinner (lunch is usually skipped, just all snacking)
