Gi-hun being the "I can fix him" type while In-ho is the "I can make him worse" type
Me with art fr
wow I wrote about 26k words in one month for SG. brain rot is so real, and it’s worse than crack cocaine
i want a post season 2 groundhog day type fic where in ho dies and then gi hun gets trapped in a time loop of that day and eventually he realizes that the only way to exit the time loop is to save in ho so he tries to save him over and over again and slowly falls in love with him in the process.
the way aziraphale is completely baffled by crowley’s voicemail when he calls his flat
“hello this is anthony crowley. you know what to do, do it with style.”
“i know who you are, you idiot. i telephoned you. listen—”
the way aziraphale has clearly never ONCE gotten crowley’s answering machine
what a fucking simp, running to the phone every time aziraphale calls. dork. i love him so much
“That ship is toxic ! They're so unhealthy—”
good things will happen 🧿
things that are meant to be will fall into place 🧿
My headcanon is that this is the moment in-ho started taking an interest in gi-hun:
Because it was such an unusual thing to do. An unusually kind thing to do. In a moment where you couldn't really blame anyone for pairing up with someone they thought would help them survive (most people would prioritize their own lives in this moment, it's completely natural), gi-hun instead chose to extend his hand to the elderly man he had befriended because he couldn't bear to see him left alone without a partner. Even if it meant gi-hun himself would be at a severe disadvantage for the next game.
I like to think this is the moment that made in-ho pause and realize there is something different about gi-hun.
Here's a thought.
Oh Il-nam says that the fake house he and Gi-hun end up in front of during Marbles is where he used to live with his family. Once we discover his true identity, we can pretty reasonably conclude that Il-nam designed this game room to be a reconstruction of his past, in a way. This of course is part of the overarching theme of nostalgia in the show.
With this in mind -
The Games in S1 (his final year of influence) reflect Oh Il-nam's version of the Games. Oh Il-nam's version of childhood nostalgia.
The Games in S2, then, reflect IN-HO'S nostalgia.
And from there, we can mine a TREASURE TROVE of headcanons, my friendaroonis
A guard: You can't kill your own people and follow a revolution against yourself just because Gi-hun had started it.
In-ho: But you don't have all the facts.
A guard: Which are?
In-ho: I'm in love with him.
Crowley using the evidence envelope as a frame for the photo for a moment before passing it to Aziraphale.
He looks at it for all of 15 seconds and that's what he did. He put the picture of them in a little frame in his hand for a moment, like how he could do with an actual frame if they weren't a secret, if they could be people with photos of themselves openly in a little place they have and not just this one in an evidence envelope that was taken by the guy who is trying to get them killed over it.
That is the saddest, most adorable...
