So I saw this post about the victims of gaiman and it was..... not very well thought out ngl.
It was basically one of those 'lets not jump to conclusions' type posts and OP listed some known facts and 'facts' about what was up at the time.
Their reblogs were a mess. People weren't happy at all with what they had to say. I think they made another post with more correct info, but that didn't help, because the 'lets not jump to conclusions' vibe was still there.
I think OP was leftist and sorry, not sorry, the American left (online at least) is very immature and hypocritical. This backfires on you in cases like this, because if it were anyone else being accused, most of you would have jumped to crucifying them.
People have been frustrated with the way you've been tiptoeing around gaiman, especially with what he admitted to doing. Even if it's proven that rape wasn't committed, he still slept with young women young enough to be his daughters. That's gross! What business does an old man have sniffing around brand new young adults?
I know you all looked up to him and admired his work, but coming online and making 'lets not jump to conclusions' type posts is not the way to deal with these revelations!
I made an earlier post that said something along the lines of 'waiting patiently to see more posts about this situation' but I take it back if the posts you're making are taking the focus off the victims and potentially excusing horrendous crimes.
One thing OP said that I agree with is that y'all should get off the internet and touch some grass. And probably put down your Good Omens and Coraline for a bit.
And probably delete any iffy posts you made about this situation before it comes back to haunt you in the future.

Just in case this attracts the wrong people: I don't argue on the internet. I'm not a debate- type person and I don't enjoy the act of going back and forth with people that don't want to hear you. If you want to argue, do it with the wall.
Everyone's always like "mythology disproves Christianity." No!!!! Mythology proves that our God is a God of stories, of details, of intentionality. Everyone is so hung up on "every culture has a story of the dying and rising god/a virgin birth, etc. etc" but that's just it. Every culture has it, because somewhere, somewhen, it was true. Mythology is simply a reminder that God fashioned for us a language that we are all born knowing— a religious language, a language of the sacred. It's the reason so many cultures view bread as something sacred and use incense in their worship. Christ did not become man to unteach us "pagan" vocabulary. The vocabulary was never pagan to begin with! It was, and is, human. Christ became man, took on flesh, and spoke the language we were all born knowing: the language of mythos and sacred rituals, of prayers and of liturgy.
Do you think Jesus did not intimately know the world He entered? Do you think He didn't know the stories of Dionysus? Or the surprisingly Christocentric imagery associated with Apollo? Do you think He did not watch Virgil pen his fourth ecologue, in which he prophesies the coming of a baby, a redeemer? Do you think the all-knowing, all-powerful God who crafted Virgil's soul with his own hands didn't know that?
Mythology reminds us that God wrote the story. That He etched into the very marrow of our bones the language we need to know Him. When He came, He came in a way that was unexpected. But it was the way we would best recognize Him.
I had a conversation with a “Christian” and it went rather horribly. They called immigrants “shits” and terrorists. All immigrants. They claimed immigrants were the reason for Christian persecution, and that God wants us to lift the sword and kill those who persecute us. They proudly boasted of how much they loved God while in the same breath wanting to kill in His name. The lack of love and compassion was unnerving to say the least.
Friends, please remember that those who live by the sword shall die by it. Not once when the apostles faced persecution did they slaughter their persecutors. Rather, they went to their deaths proudly bearing the name of Christ- and this caused MANY more to be saved in His holy name. When the world sees you act in violence, they only see worldlings ready to kill in the name of Jesus. But when they see us love our enemies, pray for our persecutors, and stand unafraid of who can take this life from us- that is what makes people of the world come to Christ.
If your answer to persecution is to return violence for violence, you are standing against Christ, not with Him. Those who seek to save their lives here will lose them. But those who lose their lives for the sake of the gospel shall gain them.

Another mushroom girl that you've already seen before!
I love drawing Lacy in her Victorian- esque fashion. These are things I would wear if I didn't live in the Caribbean ☀️🌡️🔥

Corable Whistlemel! She's Artimax's son's soon-to-be wife!
I'm contemplating making her some sort of metal or woodworker. She studies under her father, so it's a family business this.
I want her to be cute and girly with some roughness to her. I drew her head too big here though. She's not gonna be big-headed!

Private Eye might be throwing stones from their own glass house, but I still enjoyed this:
[Text reads: Book review - Nevermind by Neil Gaiman. Strange, otherworldly tale in which a weird, gothic author is accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour over several decades. Mysteriously, by some dark magic, nobody in the real world pays any attention to the allegations, everyone looks the other way, and strangely cannot see anything wrong with the writer's conduct. What on earth is happening? Could it be that sinister forces, i.e. vested interests in publishing, film, television, theatre etc, would rather this story disappeared for good? Yes.]
Won't it be a terrible waste of the money he must be paying Edendale to bury this story if we all refuse to drop it?

I had another idea for the cover, style-wise. I was thinking of clean, detailed line art with flat colour (possibly pastels or desaturated).
I love this sketch so much. I did this when I was still struggling to draw character art that I was happy with and is one of the few good pieces from that period.
I decided for Gabriella's pose to have her leaning towards Noah. The arm near Cyrus is held up as if she's carrying a shield. She's shielding herself from him (it) and leaning towards Noah as he's going to be a big help to her against Cyrus ( I love coming up with the hows and whys for what I do!)
I think I might stick with the more cartoony illustration though. I have been developing a more cartoony style for my other stories and I prefer drawing in that style overall.

I got a new pentel brush pen along with some refills, but still had my (perfectly fine) old one and used the last of the ink on this fancy hair doodle.

Drew some more Tamika, my OC from my yet-to-be-written story Reluctant Jamette.
She's a 'Christian' aka grew up in a Christian family but doesn't actually know what Christianity really is.
It's a recent addition but I think it'll fit so well with all the bs she'll be going through because of that ignorance.
