Making manga/comic-ish art is so fun but a pain at the same time
Daily Doodles- Day 148- 12/09/24
Did some pattern doodles in this girl's hair! Another fun idea for some sticker art!

I drew this fun group in my sketchbook one day and decided to build a story around them. Their names are Harold (Harry), Alice and Marissa, they're 10 years old and are in their 5th year of primary school. They're known for their love of solving puzzles. Harry likes word puzzles, Alice, number and math puzzles and Marissa prefers mechanical (physical) puzzles.
Everyone calls them the Puzzler Bunch, but this name is pending. I think I can come up with something better.
Added the colour! I wanted her to be cute and candy coloured but still matchy.
New art! A slightly annoyed and dressy young girl! I'm actually recording her process for my youtube channel. I may post it here once it's up.

I was gonna draw patterns in her hair, but I was soooo behind already and just decided to add a bit of colour to other parts of her.

I'm honestly surprised that Gaiman isn't being talked about as much on here.
No, actually I'm not. He's on here isn't he? So he probably has a fan mob here as well.
I'm not on Twitter, so I have no idea what's happening there. I found out through a random video popping up on my YouTube.
I'm not surprised tbh. Wasn't he a male feminist? An oxymoron if I ever heard one. A man that truly supports women won't put a label on it, because it's called 'being a decent human being'.
This has me side eyeing other well known/popular white male authors 👀 👀👀👀👀
She had noticed them immediately as she raised her head to breathe in the unusually cool air. They stopped her in her tracks and she nearly fell over as she missed the steep step-down on the broken sidewalk. There were many of them and they hovered still in the sky as far as her eye could see. They were smooth, ice-grey disks with no other defining features. They almost blended in with the grey of the sky, but they were so big that they could not be missed. Carissa stared up at them, open-mouthed, hardly believing what she was seeing and hardly believing that no one else was seeing this as she wildly whipped her head around to see if anyone else was gaping up at the sky. The old lady in her yard across the street was watering her plants. The school girl in her blue uniform further up the street was giggling at her phone. The lanky man wearing a graphic t-shirt and ridiculously sagged jeans swerved around her on the sidewalk, shooting her an annoyed glance as he passed. Trinidadians were known for making a scene when they saw something out of the ordinary. Maybe she was just seeing things.
This is still unedited, but I know I'll be keeping this section in.
No one is wholesome. No one is "pure." Such expectation wears away at a person's soul. It is like handing someone a magnifying glass, and with that glass, they look at their life. The previous actions in their life. Sorting such actions into pure (precious, worth protecting) or evil (wrong, worth eliminating), and after measuring the weight of the actions, they decide if they themselves are good or bad. "Am I still pure? After looking at these actions, am I still wholesome enough to receive care and love?"
I've seen it and felt it. I recoil when I see others call people wholesome as a result. (Actions can be in good faith. That is 'wholesome'. But an entire person...?) It is a comforting word for some, however.
I could see some of these in the Danny Phantom universe 👻

Cute chibi girl! 💕💕
I used to draw like this as a teen, being inspired by the cute, girly art and cartoons of the era (2000s- early 2010s).
