If Belos Actually "won" And Ways Humans Would Respond

If Belos actually "won" and ways humans would respond

Now, if some dude claimed he's from the 1600s and just eradicated all witchkind and demonkind from the "Demon Realm," ofc I'd think he's crazy. But, thinking back to that episode with Vee and Jacob Hopkins, I don't Belos being cuckoo would be unanimous in everyone's head.

Yup, he's a crusty dusty creepy freak, although let's say he honors the deal with Luz and spares the squad. He goes through the portal, drags Hunter and co. kicking and screaming, with Luz beside him.

Gravesfield is a small place, so Belos goes around proclaiming that he saved humanity, and here, he brought proof.

They're teenagers, so why would Belos say they're pure evil? That should be the thought going through every human, right?

Right?

It comes down, I think, to the fact these teenage witches are seemingly overpowered. This time, most people wouldn't think like Belos did, focusing on religion only.

Consider how Willow COULD (but ofc wouldn't) strangle someone with a house plant. Consider how Gus can theoretically sneak in anywhere, fooling security cameras. Consider how Amity can use abomination goo, or in the human realm, mud or earth. Consider how Hunter is a child soldier who can probably kill a person. Consider how Vee can copy people, which she did with Luz.

That's scary.

To top it all off, they have Palismen. They're not guns, but some people in this theoretical scenario might argue they're somewhat the same. Palismen can fire spells, both offensive and defensive.

(Some might say they're vehicles, since Palismen can carry their witches "everywhere." Since Dana said the BI is as large as Vermont, then in this case the Palismen could do what airplanes couldn't: fast and efficient travel. Lawyers would scream it's a violation of aviation laws.)

No teenager should have this power. Right? In the BI this is normal. YET in the Human Realm this is not the case. Witches and demons, then, would be considered a security risk in all countries. Heck, world leaders might thank Belos for getting rid of most of these..."risks."

(I believe, too, prominent world leaders would want...very, very deadly tools. Willow, Hunter, Gus, Amity, Vee--they all fit the bill. Five teenagers with no laws protecting them. )

There would be a faction of people who don't give a shit about security, instead wanting to learn about the Boiling Isles and its inhabitants more. Yet, in this scenario, they might "dehumanize" witches and demons, viewing them as a sort of species they want to learn more about. Historically, there were HUMAN ZOOS. Wtf, yeah? How can humans do that to another?

Now *coughs*, back to religion. I won't be specific about which religions, but some I read about actively denounce witchcraft. Given the human idea of witchcraft, would the BI's "witchcraft" count as the same thing? It depends on how a religion defines witchcraft, but I'm certain most would say nay to magic in general. So, there's another bunch of people who are going to be glad Belos did what he did.

Buuut, there is a silver lining, I suppose. I'll use Caleb as reference, even though he barely had a minute of screen time. During the memory portrait with Caleb and Evelyn, he's either looking on with apprehension or fascination in regards to the Demon Realm. Given he was once a witch hunter and fell in love with a witch, it does show time would do wonders to acceptance.

So, yeah. Time is key.

In short: humans would be shit scared of witches, but they could change their minds about witch and demon kind. Probably they'd cancel Belos. Arrest him. Or whatever works.

Yet, again, as others in this fandom pointed out, Belos is terrifying because he's realistic. So, there would be a lot of similar people who'd share Belos's sentiments either due to prejudice, fear, or religion.

This is purely a "what-if" scenario, apologies for this ramble XD

Anywhoo, how's everyone doing so far? I hope y'all are doing great, I swear I'm overwhelmed by projects right now XD

Tbh, even though the CEO and other Mob members gushed abt how Chap 4 will be the best one yet, I was alrdy skeptical. Tbh, I found it concerning that we needed an ARG to fully understand what’s going on with the Poppy Playtime lore. The ARG itself was fun—although it’s bad news if the story isn’t self-contained within a specific medium, imo. Especially for casual players.

And the constant promotional materials! Am always suspicious about too much advertising.

They hyped up Chapter 4 too much to the point most of us are feeling disappointed the chapter itself didn’t match the hype. Maybe, most of us would’ve been forgiving if we weren’t bombarded with all the promotional material.

The Student’s Lament

Here I am, in my room, looking out the window

The mountains are a dark smear, yet lights are twinkling,

Beauty so far, creating a starry meadow,

Yet I’m still stuck here, with all my thoughts swirling

My laptop is open, and so are my notebooks

I’ve got too much deadlines, and very little time

So I’ll study and study, yearning for my books

But I still look outside, staring at those lights

Laughter comes drifting near, so bright, and so. Carefree

So I start pondering if I made that sound once,

Rather than my sighing, filled with all my misery

That kind of laughter’s just memories, long, long gone

Here I am, hunched over my desk with all my notes,

No longer reading them—Rather, I’m just staring,

My jumbled thoughts just running in different roads,

While I’m here, sitting down, stuck with all my musing

As an Asian, am disappointed no Asian pope was picked. However, I’m giggling that the conclave chose an American who CRITICIZED Vance.

Lmao he has dual citizenship with Peru. MAGA and Trump are in for a rude awakening!

What can the orange do? Deport this pope?

Gone are the days where books were well-beloved. Reading comprehension has been at an absolute low, where students cannot read through a single book. All the ideas presented by authors will slowly be lost to time, as no one except a few will read. Even with these, it’s difficult to properly read given how fast-paced our world is.

School is no longer a center for learning. Students who actually wish to learn are punished for their curiosity. They are seen as outcasts, nerds, weirdos, etc.

Children are exposed to screens at a young age. They see bright, nauseating neon colors daily, fingers and eyes moving. Patience is a virtue growing rarer and rarer, and along with it cognitive function.

Corporations grow bigger. Prices go higher. Salaries remain the same, for decades. And more decades. Each generation cannot afford what their predecessors could.

Art is an empty husk, no longer filled with meaning. It is beauty with no soul. It is a flower vase with no flower inside. It is a masterpiece created by reluctant artists, whose main goal is to survive.

Oppression persists, growing in strength. Politicians become stronger, no longer needing to sound intelligent. The crowds absorb their words without a second thought, as if under a spell.

Mother Nature is getting sicker day by day. Yet everyone continues on with their lives as if the day isn’t getting hotter. As if CO2 isn’t steadily climbing. As if the plastic in the ocean mysteriously disappeared. As if Nature will fix our shit, when it is the one dying.

We all look at these horrors, wondering if we are the ones insane instead. Isn’t it easier to stop thinking about these?

Maybe we are looking for someone. The next Martin Luther King. The next Tesla or Einstein. The next Mandela. The next Shakespeare. The next da Vinci. Regardless, we are looking for a saviour. Someone to take the fall for society’s cruelty.

Perhaps the worst thing of all is that WE have no choice but to be the ones who act.

Unnatural Nature

Gray replaces blue,

Smoke is the new oxygen,

While buildings stand tall

The Midterm

The room’s deathly still,

Save for the scribbling of pens,

And students sighing

It’s just a dumb haiku :DD

The storm rages on,

Its misery drop by drop,

Till we all drip down

Here’s a dumb poem I made :’))

A Minute

As we stroll through meadows of joy, your smile is bright,

We dance and sing, shaded, covered by a rainbow,

But the clock’s time is ticking in this long-term lie,

Yet we clung to it, to avoid the curse bestowed

Now we are in quite polished rooms of rotten wood,

The lie has dried out and the truth wetly remains,

I would scream, I would speak, if I just simply could,

And I sense your fear…and so calmness I shall feign

We had such fun in this illusion called freedom,

Where we ignored the majority’s punishment,

Where we were ready to not come to a kingdom,

For we were sick of this world’s lies and its treatment!

Now we stroll through the smooth streets built by the cruel,

We walk proudly, heads held high, covered by their jeers,

I dumbly plead with them to give time to us fools,

They did give us time, but just a minute, I hear

So uhhh, this is random cringe I guess and it’s up to your own interpretation

I really love how the wizard went like “We can be a found family :D !!”

Then after Elphaba tries leaving he goes “Wait your blonde friend can stay with us—”

The Living Dead

I am the living dead, waiting for my coffin

I have befriended Death, for it is my friend

This world is my foe, hoping to drown me in

Its senseless pleasures, pains, and evils with no end

I do not wait for my time to run its sad course,

Because Death is a jealous friend with greedy hands,

While Life is my enemy, whispering its curses,

And frauds, idiots, and monsters rule Earth’s own lands

The future promises a distant paradise,

One I will not live to see in its fruition

Yet that hope gives me strength to fight the world’s great lies,

To continue pursuing my fatal mission

Perhaps, soon, I’ll no longer be the living dead,

My own corpse six feet under, in an unmarked grave

But tomorrow’s promise is stronger than my dread

With death beside me, I’ll continue being brave
