Several portraits I had the privilege of doing for the first episode in season II of Helluva Boss. 

Epilogue to the date

Yes I’m still referring to their shake outing as a date even though Husk swears it wasn’t, because for one he’s a confirmed tsundere so why would he admit to anything love related? Husk already pretends not to be interested in Angel’s existence—but keeps doing things for him. Like buys him food, watch his pig, go out together. 

And we all know Angel Dust 100% seen it as a date because he’s just so damn smitten with the kitten, as a matter of fact, if anything it’ll just make the flirting more intense instead of having the opposite effect.

Needless to say, Husk didn’t exactly help matters by accepting Angel’s invitation if he claims otherwise.

Husk states that the milkshake was just reimbursement for Fat Nuggets eating all of his Inventory, but if that was the case I’m sure Angel could have just brought him a milkshake…Instead they went on a family outing, together, sitting across from each other.

During the date itself, they were having their “first date” jitters as both seemed to have brought along their little comfort items along with them, the pig and the booze~🐖🍺

Angel’s happy Husk could join him, but asks that next time kitty keeps the booze off the table because Husk ends up drinking despite the fact that they were on an outing where they went to buy… drinks. Smh Husky.

But overall both of them appeared to have enjoyed their time together so I’m sure there will be a …“next time”

Our tsundere kitty really called him an idiot, that’s the closest we’ll get to him saying ‘baka’ ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Angelhusk/Huskerdust Headcanons

Since more content’s come out and we’ve been fed some great angelhusk food, gonna update my headcanons from this old post: Unchanged - Husk is VERY self conscious about his cat form, while Angel finds it adorable and constantly lets him know this.

- While Angel is a very sexual person, more innocent acts of affection like hand-holding or cuddling tend to fluster him pretty easily, Husk finds that out quickly cuz all he wants to do at the start of the relationship is cuddle.

- Once he became comfortable enough around Angel, Husk revealed how cuddly he is by using him as a pillow any chance he gets.

‐ Angel was never really into poker, but will play with Husk because he knows how much he loves it.

- Angel LOVES magic tricks, and Husk loves performing them for him.

- Angel loves playing with the heart beans🧡 

- They have movie nights where they make fun of bad movies (including some of Angel’s older films👀)

- Husk loves Angel’s cooking, and will try to cook for him in return but it tends not to go well. Angel always eats it anyway. After listing all the things he did wrong.

Changed - The first time Angel heard Husk purr was when he was rubbing his ears, and it was so unexpected that he fell off the fukin couch

- Angel doing sex work doesn’t bother Husk, but Angel working for Valentino does. When Husk realizes how shitty Val is to him, Husk tries to help Angel find loopholes in whatever contract(if the contract/deal headcanon turns out to be right) Angel has with him

New

- Whenever Angel has a panic attack, Husk calms him down using what he’s had to learn from dealing with his own PTSD

- Husk makes sure to watch Fat Nuggets for Angel anytime he can after he realizes Val likes to use the bby to threaten Angel TwT - They’ll both flirt in Italian when in public🥰 

- They’ll bond over stuff from when they were alive, like music, movies that were just coming out, world events, etc;

- Husk learns about Angel’s favorite sweets/drinks and will surprise him with them randomly

- They’ll take Fat Nuggets on lil’ family outings🥺

thinking about how in episode four after angel yells at husk. husk realized two things and then did them.

he first realized that he went about looking at angel all wrong, and shared a piece of his own painful past to rectify that. he recognized someone going through what he's going through, and shared a piece of his past to get angel to realize that too.

and secondly, husk doesn't try to comfort angel about it. he knows that the last thing anyone in angels position wants to hear is empty comfort, and he realizes that. so what he says in response to that realization is this:

"You've lost your way, you think your life is wrecked, well let me just say you're correct."

he AFFIRMS angels feelings, because husk IS in angels position. the song isnt husk taking a jab at angel when hes down. its an acknowledgement of his pain, which is EXACTLY what angel needed.

sure a solution to the problem would be nice and probably preferred, but a solution is just NOT possible right now, so the next best thing husk can do is acknowledge that pain and tell him "yeah, its fucked up, and its okay to be fucked up about how fucked up it is."

"There was a time I thought that no one could relate, to the gruesome ways in which I'm damaged, but letting walls down it can sometimes set you straight..."

because they're both survivors, and husk knows that being able to have someone to lean on while you're going through something thats impossible to escape from is the best way of coping with it. and even then, he doesnt make fun of angels coping mechanisms. angel can drink and do drugs and have sex all he wants, husk doesnt care.

"It's okay to be a-" "coked-up dick-sucking hoe?" "Baby that's fine by me."

but husk wont let him self destruct with these coping mechanisms. he wont let angel actually hurt himself, because theres a difference between coping via it, and using it to hammer the hurt in more, and the only time husk stepped in with angel was when he knew angel was in danger of hurting himself with it.

fuck. theyre both losers man. FUCK!
