Good omens headcannons: BOOKSHOP EDITION

every pride month the bookshop gets decorated with every pride flag imaginable

one time Aziraphale got upset cause be couldn't find a big enough version of a flag

and the next day Crowley appeared with a giant one (he totally sewed it himself but denies it to this day)

if Crowley's really bored one day or Aziraphale loves a book, they'll tag team to stop anyone from buying it

as a last resort Crowley once turned into a snake and coiled up on the shelf above the book and Aziraphale told the customer that the snake 'got a tad bit testy' when someone takes 'one of his' books.

there's a reddit forum dedicated to conspiracy theories around the bookshop snake to this day

Crowley posts outlandish theories on it that everyone assumes to be fake but are actually true just to mess people (obviously, there's no way that Mr. Fell's pet snake is the immortal snake from the garden of Eden, you're just grasping at straws at this point)

he thinks he's hilarious and occasionally shows the ones he's most proud of to Aziraphale

Aziraphale was against it at first but then he realised that a demonic snake might encourage potential book thieves (customers, Angel, they're called customers) from attempting to purchase any books

not a quote but that little "hmmp" that Aziraphale does when he realizes that Crowley turned job's goats into birds instead of killing them (he also puts his hands on his hips wait he's so precious)

noooo don't make me choose between my children T_T probably season 1...I would die for that 30 minute flashback at the start of episode 3 with Azriaphale and Crowley throughout the ages and I love me a happy ending (end of season 2 who?)

Yesssss I'm currently obsessed with David Tennant's Doctor Who (he's just a funky little guy fr)

OKAY HEAR ME OUT: my ideal good omens crossover would be with doctor who (the hyperfixation is real y'all.) Crowley and Aziraphale would appear in the doctor who universe (canon can get with it or die by my blade) and become besties with the doctor (14th or 10th, obviously) and Donna. THEN one time post season 2 Crowley appears in front of a bunch of UNIT guys (Shirley and Mel my babies ^_^ ) and while everyone else is freaking out the doctor just like "Hi Crowley :)" and then he looks around and is like "Where's your Angel?" and Crowley just starts SOBBING and gets a hug :)

there's a special place in my heart for the 'eccentric old blonde guy who everyone loves and his scary genderfluid/queer spouse with the sunglasses run a bookshop and refuse to actually sell people books' type of AU

Overall, really good :) the fics and edits and fanart are amazing (everyone is so talented like what) and people are generally super nice

would I be able to call myself a proper good omens fan if I didn't say the Aziraphale steps into the circle scence?

good omens headcannons: AZIRACROW EDITION

Aziraphale takes very good care of his clothes, and in the very few instances of them gaining tears or rips he painstakingly hand-stitches them back together

he once spent half an hour agonising over two practically identical colours of thread to find the one that matches his waistcoat perfectly

whenever Crowley rips his clothes (which is a weekly event) he uses whatever will take the less amount of effort physically possible to fix it

one time Aziraphale walked in on him using a stapler to staple the seams of a pair of pants back together

they both decide they wanted to learn to cook at the same time and spent many evenings arguing over the finer points of the recipes

they tried to use a cooking tutorial on youtube but it quickly deteriorated into both of them yelling at the video every five seconds for 'getting cooking wrong'...the video was made by a professional chef

one time Crowley put a vanilla sponge in the oven and then promptly forgot about it

when he did finally remember it it was burnt so bad it was black all over so he just left it on the counter to deal with it later

Aziraphale came home and thought it was a chocolate cake

suffice to say he was very disappointed when he tried a slice

Aziraphale never used to sleep much but one day in winter Crowley was asleep on the bookshop's couch and he thought he would just take a teensie nap

they both woke up 3 days later curled up on the couch together <3

Hear me out: this good omens quote but with the Doctor and the Master...

The Doctor: "You can't leave! There isn't anywhere to go."

The Master: "It's a big universe - even if this all ends up in a puddle of burning goo, we can go off together!"

the dumbest temptations that Crowley has ever performed:

tempting a cat to walk over to him when the little 'pssh pshhh kittyyyy' noises weren't working (It was a black cat so it was totally evil and demonic guys trust)

spent 30 seconds panic-adjusting the meat he was offering to Aziraphale in the Job flashback so that it would taste just right

"IT NEEDS MORE SALT WAIT NO THAT'S TOO SALTY NEVERMIND WHERE'S THE SEASONING WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY DON'T HAVE SEASONING HERE I THOUGHT GOD CARED??"

his sunglasses made everything too dark for him to see the little stars in Aziraphale's eyes so every time he gets a new pair he makes sure they're just dark enough to hide his eyes and block out bright lights but not dark enough that he can't see his angel's beautiful pupils <3

snakes.

whenever a snake species starts becoming endangered he tempts governments into giving funding for wildlife conservation (occasionally if they're still endangered he grabs a snake or two to raise and reintroduce himself) (It's EVIL because they're POISONOUS and eat...well, mostly mice but don't tell Hell that)

tempting the guy in charge of the playlists at his favourite bar to play angsty songs on repeat when he's brooding >:(

I just realized something:

OKAY so in one of my headcannons I mentioned how Aziraphale and Crowley danced in the rain together...

Crowley: "A sudden rainstorm forces them beneath a canopy - they look into each others eyes and realize they were made for each other."

Aziraphale: "People would gather and do some formal dancing and then realize they had misunderstood each other and were actually deeply in love."

dancing in the rain is literally both of their ideas of falling in love combined T_T
