maybe im a stupid asshole but one of my biggest tumblr pet peeves is when i see a popular post that DEFINITELY got posted to r/curatedtumblr or put in a funniest tumblr posts video or whatever and the post is the 3 or 4 original reblogs that make up the og post and then like 25 reblogs in a row of different people all saying some variation of "I CANT BELIEVE I FINALLY FOUND IT" or mentioning hellsite-hall-of-fame or something

Prinxiety has always struck me as a ship that protects one another. 

Roman is the ego, the creativity, the far-flung dreams. He had some animosity towards Virgil in the beginning because their functions as Fanciful and Anxiety were positioned as being at odds with the other. Roman even explained in Accepting Anxiety Part 2, “I am the Dreamer. And the one big thing that gets in the way of pursuing any new adventure is fear”. Virgil, in turn, has his own moments of not getting along with Roman–likely because Roman is consistently the one putting Thomas into potentially precarious situations. I think that history between them is important.

But I also think that they work hard to move past that. When Roman tells Virgil “Anxiety, you… are what pushes Thomas to rehearse and rehearse before performances. You are that nervousness he feels right before going on stage but just as he does so… you ease up. And you let his excitement and enthusiasm for performing take over. I think that’s as good a sign as any that you’re willing to work as a team. And that you… make us better”. Roman also makes an intentional effort to insult Virgil less and include him more following that arc. Virgil, in turn, likewise makes an effort to listen to Roman more and test out some of his ideas even if they make him hesitate (”12 Days of Christmas” video being the clearest example of that). 

Roman is the first one to charge into battle for those he loves (”I’ve always been here fighting for you” from Am I Original? and also his fight with the Dragon Witch in Alone on Valentine’s Day being evidence of that). Virgil, in turn, is a defender as well (”I’ve always aimed to protect you”). Roman would travel to hell and back for Virgil. Virgil, in turn, would throw himself in front of a train for Roman. Neither would let the other do that, of course.

(Also, Roman’s little “You… rescued me…” in Accepting Anxiety Part 2 shows that he is not used to other people saving him from danger. He is not used to being seen as the one worthy of getting saved, but that is exactly how Virgil sees him. I think that matters, too.)

When you put Virgil and Roman together, they create this story of forgiveness, growth, and protection.

I had a dream that there was a new Mario and Luigi game (but it wasn’t the one coming to the switch)

Basically some group of Koopa’s with strange markings showed up to the mushroom kingdom and Kidnap Peach. Taking her to the ‘Lost Kingdom’

Mario and Luigi believe Bowser was responsible and was shocked to find out he wasn’t. But also Bowser gets kidnapped!

So Mario and Luigi teams up with Bowser Jr to rescue Peach and Bowser.

Bowser Jr. had a gimmick that he’d help traverse the kingdom with his clown cart that got upgrades as you traveled.

It’s revealed that the main villain is actually Bowser’s father’s. Who was sealed inside a crystal. Bowser never knew this.

Apparently Bowser’s dad was a real monsterous guy that even most of his supporters didn’t like him, and they worked with the previous Royal of the mushroom kingdom to seal him away. It was Kamek that helped seal him away.

Bowser’s Dad, Towzer was planning on using Peach’s power to break his seal and then take over his Son’s body.

The whole story was giving talks about fatherhood and family. It was actually really endearing.

Towzer actually does get free but Bowser resists being controlled… until he says he will go after his son. Then he capitulates.

Towzer transforms bowser to look more like Giga bowser. It’s actually really cool.

Mario, Luigi and Bowser Junior beat up Towzer and free him from Bowser… and becomes a gigantic monster.

Thus we get the Bowser Junior giant mech battle. With bowser helping in the fight.

Towzer gets defeated for good.

Bowser talks with Kamek about his father, saying he understood why Kamek never told him about him.

“He was actually really pathetic. Using Me to try and live longer. If he was so weak to be sealed away he isn’t worth crying over. I’d never leave my son alone.”

And it was a really sweet end to the story with Peach making them all a cake. Which Bowser gets to taste.

But then he tries to kidnap peach again and the cycle starts again. But Bowser Junior thanks the Mario brothers for their help and that today he won’t help his dad. But next time, he will.”

Virgil still couldn't understand, how Roman had managed to drag him into a basketball game. For the first twenty or so minutes he had been denying that he was enjoying the time spent watching the game, but after the first few points he stopped pretending. "Hey V!" Romans suddenly said and the anxious side looked up at him. Roman wasn't looking back at him, instead at a large screen, his face getting redder every passing second. Virgil followed his gaze to see the kiss cam's screen. They both where on it. Next to him, Roman buried his face in his hands and Virgil himself started agressivly making a no gesture. He heard loud booing around him and he and Roman where out of the screen. For now.

Throughout the game, he and Roman kept getting into the kiss camera and nearing the middle point of the game, Virgil was getting fed up with it. "I swear if the kiss cam comes back to us for like the billionth time, I'm gonna scream." The emo grumbled in annoyence. Roman just laughed slightly at Virgil and let his eyes trail back to the game. "OH FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!!" Virgil screamed next to him. Roman barely had time to register what happened when he suddenly felt someone grab the collar of his shirt and be pulled into a kiss. He felt like fireworks were exploding inside him and his face felt like it was on fire. Oh how he loved the feeling of Virgil's lips on his. It felt like their lips had been made for eachother, that good and perfect the kiss felt. Too soon Virgil pulled away and Roman was slapped back to reality from the seventh heaven to a cheering crowd. Virgil turned back to the game and the creative side's mind wondered back to the heavenly moment. To how soft Virgil's lips had felt and that feeling inside his stomach. The kiss felt like a drug to him, making him high and making him want more. Oh how much he wanted to kiss Virgil again.

Roman didn't know how long he had been in that daydream, but when he finally did snap out of it the game was nearing it's end. "I-I wonder why the camera kept coming back to us..." Virgil looked up at him, shrugged and turned back to the game.

About thirty-or-so minutes before that Patton had slipped the camera man a hundred dollars. "Thank you, my good sir." And with that he skipped away to Logan.

Virgil: *shrugs and keeps watching the game*

Patton, slipping a hundred bucks to the camera man: Thank you, my good sir.
