Today was an eventful day :D! I played dress up to 2014 diet Pepsi party songs, went out, and stumbled across a free flower arrangement class, and I got to take my own bouquet home!!!! >.<!

Today was really good, life has meaning outside of bedrotting and doomscrolling, go out and find something to do, you'll find joy, relaxation and dopamine from activities you'd usually never bat an eye at!

Since I'm having a good day, here's a cool-ish and fun face reveal (might delete later)

Hi Lele!! Please Provide Me Tips On How To Get Through A Slump ✌️💕🙈

So first off, to get out of a slump, it's important to acknowledge that it's a common experience that most people go through at some point in their lives. Feeling unmotivated, uninspired, or stuck can be difficult.

TAKE A BREAK: Allow yourself to take a step back and rest. Taking time off to relax and recharge is essential for your overall well being. Try to do some activities that bring you joy and help you de-stress.

START SETTING GOALS: By setting little goals at a time it makes your tasks less overwhelming and more manageable for you to complete. As you complete these smaller goals, you'll regain a sense of accomplishment and motivation. No matter how small the goal is, you're still making progress.

ENCOURAGEMENT: Try to find encouragement and motivation to do things like watch someone influential that brings you good vibes and positivity to get your stuff done.

SWITCH UP YOUR ROUTINE: This step really works for me when I'm in a slump, sometimes, a change in routine can help break the monotony and stimulate your mind. By introducing novelty into your routine, you may find yourself feeling more inspired and motivated.

SELF CARE: Another thing that works for me is having a moment (or a few moments) of self care, mentally and physically. Taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally is crucial when you're in a slump.

Getting out of a slump is a process, and it's okay to have ups and downs along the way. Focus on progress, not perfection. With time and effort, you'll find yourself gradually emerging from the slump and regaining your motivation and inspiration.

As this new week rolls in and it's the last week of April , remember it’s okay if you’re not feeling 100% ready. Most people aren’t. You don’t have to wake up every day with perfect energy or a perfect plan. Some mornings you’ll move fast, some mornings you’ll drag yourself through , both count. What matters is that you try. This week will have its messy moments late nights, forgotten tasks, small mistakes that make you question yourself. It's normal. It happens to everyone who’s aiming for something at the end of the week of even the day . So don’t be too hard on yourself when things don’t go exactly the way you pictured. Focus on doing what you can, when you can. Focus on staying honest with yourself not pretending you’re fine when you’re not, but also not giving up just because it gets uncomfortable. Progress feels boring sometimes ikr . Growth feels invisible sometimes. But if you keep moving, even in the smallest ways, you are winning. Trust that the work you’re doing, even the hard parts, is building something you’ll be proud of later.

note: while getting enough of different types of exercise is important, as different types of exercise bring different primary benefits, the most important thing is that you are moving your body! don’t feel pressured to do a strict amount of cardio per week if you don’t like cardio, especially if you are new to exercise. this goes for any other type of exercise. it’s totally okay to do the exercise you enjoy doing, as long as you are doing it!

how much cardio should you be doing?

while this may differ according to your personal health, conditions you may have, your goals, etc. (as with any other form of exercise), the general advice given by professionals and the American Heart Association is at least 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity or 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week. if we are going with 150 minutes per week, this would mean at least 21 minutes per day, or 30 minutes 5x per week. this schedule may vary depending on your schedule, but the overall goal is 75 or 150 minutes per week!

how much strength/weight training should you be doing?

while different professional sources have varying opinions on this, the most common advice is 60-90 minutes per week. if we are using 90 minutes per week, this would equal to 13 minutes per day, 18 minutes 5x per week, or 30 minutes 3x per week.

how much yoga/stretching should you be doing?

it is important to at least include a short cool down stretch after your workout to prevent injury and reduce soreness, but when it comes to yoga, it is recommended that you include at least a 1 hour session 3x per week, although doing a bit each day is considered ideal. using the guide of 3 hours per week, this would equal 26 minutes per day, 36 minutes 5x per week, or 60 minutes 3x per week.

how much pilates should you be doing?

while many do not include pilates in their routine or do not consider it necessary, i and many others find it incredibly beneficial due to its ability to work the smaller muscle groups that weight training usually does not. it is generally recommended that you do a 45 minute session 3-4x per week. this would also equal 19 minutes daily if you prefer to split it that way.
