Author’s note: Well, here you have the second part of the story. It’ll probably have another one… Don’t know what you think about this one.
Masterlist / To Do List
“What happened, Y/N?” Steve asked for the second time as I looked through the small window that was in the kitchen. Beth was sleeping as Bucky. Or that was what I imagined because I hadn’t seen him around the house.
The truth was, I preferred it that way. After the conversation we’d had the night before, I didn’t want to see him or talk to him. In five years a lot of things had happened and although my feelings for him hadn’t changed, and they never would, his feelings for me did. Maybe I had made a mistake in the way I acted but I didn’t regret what I had done. As much as he said otherwise, Bucky wasn’t prepared to have a daughter and I couldn’t allow a person with a mental instability to be around her.
“If you don’t tell us what’s happening, we cannot help you.”
“It’s not as if you could help be being thousands of miles away, Steve” I spat. I knew I had been cold as soon as the words left my mouth. I pinched the bridge of my nose as I apologized. “I’m nervous. I didn’t know what to expect when I came here but I didn’t expect Bucky hating me.”
“You didn’t give him more options, Y/N. You left with his daughter. Whatever your reasons were, you left with a part of him. You can’t blame him for holding a grudge.
I hated that Steve was right because it made me rethink my actions.
“Don’t explain me what happened if you don’t want to, but explain it to someone. You can’t keep this inside of you forever.”
The conversation with Steve hadn’t gone how neither of us expected. He had called with the intention to discover what had happened with Martin and I had hoped he was calling to tell me he was coming home so I didn’t have to stay at Bucky’s.
I left the phone on the counter and I sighed. What was I going to do? How long would I have to stay with Bucky? When would I know it was safe to go? Was I going to have to move to another state, leave all my friends and family behind?
“Good mo–”
I tilted my head, meeting Bucky in the kitchen entrance with messy hair, with his blue eyes with traces of sleep and a with a frown. I followed the trajectory of his eyes to my right rib. The black tank top I was wearing had gotten up slightly, revealing the big bruise I had. I covered it with my shirt and I looked at Bucky with a fake smile.
“Coffee?”
“What is that?” he asked as he walked towards me.
I tried to pull away but Bucky grabbed my arm with his metal hand and lifted my shirt with the other. The touch of his fingers made a shiver ran through my spine, preventing me to breath normally.
“Tell me this isn’t the reason why you are here.”
I didn’t answer him and although I could have lied, I followed Steve’s advice. One day or another I would have to explain to someone what had happened with Martin.
“Son of a bitch,” he muttered. “Beth. Did he touch Beth?”
I shook my head. “I would have never allowed it. So he hit me.”
Bucky pressed his jaw tightly. He dropped my shirt and, for a moment, I thought he would hit something but he restrained himself.
“How many times?”
I was afraid to answer that question. From the outside, it all seemed very easy. If someone hit you, you had to leave as quickly as possible. But when it happened to you, you always expected a change.
“My answer will not change anything,” I finally answered. “You probably have a lot of things to say, like how stupid I was for being with someone like that. I know, you don’t need to tell me.”
“I wasn’t going to say anything,” Bucky said. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t think it.”
Bucky walked past me and picked up the coffee pot, thereby giving and end to the conversation. And, again, we were in an impasse, having nothing to say to each other.
I had to leave as soon as possible. Staying at Bucky’s was a danger for both of us because, at one time or another, we might explode. Too many feelings. To many things left unsaid.
Beth appeared in the kitchen before I could leave. Her brown hair was messy and her blue eyes half closed.
“Good morning, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?” I asked her as I picked her up and kissed her forehead. I felt Bucky’s eyes looking at us.
Beth nodded, she wasn’t very talkative in the morning. I left her on the floor and I asked her what she wanted for breakfast but she didn’t answer, probably because she hadn’t decided yet what her belly wanted. Finally, she decided she wanted a glass of milk and a muffin. Bucky took the moment to announce he was going to take a shower and my body relaxed instantly.
As she drank her glass of milk, I observed my daughter. If it wasn’t because she had my nose and my lips, I would have thought Beth was only Bucky’s daughter. It was his living image. I assumed that, for that reason, I still hadn’t forgotten about him. They were two drops of water; both were brave, determined and, sometimes, stubborn.
“Mommy, can I ask you something?”
I nodded as a smile appeared on my lips.
“Why does Bucky have a metal arm?”
“So you remember that one day I told you that we all had something that made us special?” Beth nodded. “The metal arm is what makes Bucky special. It allows him to be super strong. And he can lift anything with that arm!”
Beth opened her mouth, surprised and I laughed. Now that Bucky was in her life, I had to start answering questions.
“Can we go to the zoo, mommy?”
I gasped, not knowing what to say. Could we leave the house? I didn’t know if Martin was looking for me, as I didn’t know what the limits of that situation were.
When Beth saw I didn’t answer right away, she grew anxious. She looked at me intently and shifted in her seat, ready to explode if I said no. Kids, so adorable when they had what they wanted but so unbearable when they didn’t.
“I can take you to the zoo if you want.”
I lifted my head, finding Bucky leaned against the kitchen door, with his arms crossed over his chest and staring at me, as Beth had done seconds earlier. I could say no and end all that, and I could say yes and accept to spend a day with Bucky. Although it wasn’t what I wanted, I realized maybe Bucky wanted to spend a day with his daughter so I raised my arms in defeat and I said yes.
Beth screamed with excitement, got up from her chair, and came to hug me. She did the same with Bucky, who was stunned when Beth wrapped her small arms around him. And, as usual when she got excited, she started to speak quickly, tripping over her own words and making a plan of what they would see.
As I expected, the day at the zoo was exhausting but it was worth to see Beth enjoying so much. She ran back and forth, pointing to all the animals and making people laugh. At first, she was a bit shy with Bucky but when she saw I was getting tired, she took on of his hands and started running with him. And he was delighted with that.
A strange feeling ran through me when I saw them together and my mind flew to a place where it was forbidden to go since I had left his side five years ago.
How our life would have been if I had stayed with Bucky? I would have been scared twenty-four hours a day, as I was now. Steve had told me he had made a lot of progress, that the Winter Soldier hadn’t appeared for a long time. But Bucky was the Winter Soldier and if for some reason someone recited the ten magic words, we were in danger. Including Beth.
By mid afternoon, we decided to sit on a bench to eat ice cream. When Beth finished hers, she fell asleep on Bucky’s. He smiled softly as she took a few strands of hair from her forehead. After a few minutes in silence, Bucky ended the day by announcing that maybe it was better to leave.
Beth slept the whole way and when they reached Bucky’s apartment, Bucky asked if he could put her to bed. Although a part of me didn’t want to, I knew I had to start trusting Bucky. Like it or not, Bucky was her father and was now in her life.
“Okay,” I murmured.
Despite knowing I didn’t had to do it, I went to Beth’s room and I observed Bucky putting her in bed. My heart shrank with tenderness when he kissed her forehead and I turned around and I went to the kitchen when I felt the urge to cry.
I was no longer sure if what I did was the right thing to do. Maybe Bucky was right and everything that had happened to me since I had left was because I deserved it.
“I’m exhausted,” Bucky said as he entered the kitchen. I wiped the tears of my eyes and I turned to face him. On his face I could read the word satisfaction. He was satisfied, happy.
“She’s an earthquake,” I said.
“She’s like you,” he pointed out in a whisper as he opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of beer. I watched him for a few seconds in silence. “I’m sorry for what I told you the other day. Clearly I didn’t know what had happened. I would never think you deserved what he did to you.”
Hear those words didn’t help me. Maybe he didn’t think so but I had started to believe it.
“Beth thinks he is her father?”
By his tone, I knew he was afraid of the answer. From the beginning, I had thought of telling Beth that Martin wasn’t his real father but after thinking that would only bring me unceasing questions, I decided not to tell her the truth. At the end of the day, I thought Martin would be the one.
“Yes,” I finally replied. Bucky clenched his jaw. “I know what I have to do but I need time. Beth is a child and… I need time, Bucky.”
“Okay,” he answered surprising me.
He finished his beer and before leaving the kitchen, he said: “You can stay as long as you need. Tomorrow I’ll talk to Tony so he controls that guy.”
“Scott. Martin Scott,” I said offering him a name. “Thank you, Bucky.”
Bucky smiled slightly and left the kitchen, leaving me alone with my thoughts. How was I supposed to tell Beth the truth? How she would react? I was afraid of her reaction. Afraid that she hated me for lying to her. Just… Afraid.
“You’re dating Peter Parker? How long? Y/f/n we’ve talked about you dating and-” A loud sigh escaped from your lips as your father, Steve Rogers, was preparing for a mile long speech that you weren’t at all in the mood to hear.
Only minutes before your dad had sat you down at the kitchen table, you were wrapped up tightly in a blanket watching a movie with you boyfriend, Peter Parker. The two of you had been together for a short span of two months but you were both keen on keeping it quiet. It was no secret that your father didn’t like the idea of you dating, he even went to the extreme of having a member of the Avengers watch over you at almost all waking moment to make sure the unspoken rule was followed.
Natasha would ‘casually’ tag along on your trips to the mall when Steve suspected you were meeting with a boy. Sometimes Tony would offer to drive you and your friends around because your father was dead set on the idea that a boy would be involved. Bucky and Steve refused to let anyone besides the team train you thinking that one of the male agents would pull something on you. You were beyond thankful and appreciative of your father ( and the rest of the teams) over protectiveness but at times it was overbearing.
You hardly went out to movies with your friends anymore because Wanda’s suspicious eyes made them uncomfortable and Thor could quickly turn your hang outs into awkward learning sessions on Asgardian terms and ways of life. You felt suffocated and smothered twentyfour-seven, well that was you did until you met Peter Parker.
Despite your father having forced you to sit out of the fight between him and Tony a few months back, you still traveled along with him to Germany. Nobody dared involve you in the fight so you kept yourself roaming on the down low in the streets of Munich, Germany with a trusted S.H.I.E.L.D agents watching over you. When the fight was over, Natasha escorted you back to New York and on the plane ride home you were introduced to the one and only Spiderman himself.
It was an odd thing meeting Peter. You quickly found the two of you had a long list of traits in common. You both were total dorks, top of your class, had special abilities, and felt stuck on the outside. When your father and Tony worked everything out and the team became one again, Tony Stark offered Peter a spot on The Avengers, if he earned it.
Peter was ecstatic and trained nonstop with you, soaking all the information you could possible give him up like a sponge. But along the way through all your flirtatious comments and teasing acts, you began to develop feelings for Peter. He was the same age as you and you shared so much in common so how could you not fall for his adorable smile?
When Peter came to you early one Sunday morning with the news that Tony was letting him join in on the next upcoming mission, you couldn’t hold back. You leaped across the room closing the space between the two of you and pressed you lips against his chapped ones without warning. An eruption of butterflies and fireworks exploded inside of you at the embrace. Peter’s hands trailed up your side and stopped at the small of your back pulling you tight against his body. You kept your hands by your side feeling a bit awkward not knowing what to do with them, it was your first kiss after all. You pulled away moments later and grazed your numb lips with your fingertip.
“Wow…” Peter mumbled smiling widely.
‘Yeah…” You responded still glued to a state of shock.
From there on Peter Parker and yourself made a plan and vowed not to tell a single soul of your relationship until your dad eased up. The team never questioned either of you and Steve trusted you with Parker, thinking of him as only your friend. You had no idea how long it would take and for a while you pondered over the possibility of never being able to come public with your relationship. But now as you sat soundlessly in front of your dad the idea of never coming clean to Steve didn’t seem so bad.
“Dad I like him alot and I know you do too. He’s nice to me and he doesn’t make me feel so lonely in this place. I don’t have many friends, dad. Peter had always been there for me and he understands me.” You explained softly staring at the marble countertop. The mesh of greys and white were suddenly the most interesting thing you had seen as your the padding of your finger traced the designs.
“I did like him,Y/n. That was before I knew he was dating you.” He said sternly. After you dad caught you with snuggled up to Peter and demanded an explanation, he rushed you back home to your apartment in Brooklyn that your father shared with your Uncle Bucky.
Bucky was seated on the couch flipping through channels and trying to remain out of the argument. He had had his fair share of wars within the last year and the last thing he wanted was to get between Steve and you.
“We’re still dating, dad.” Your voice was shallow and low. You could feel your throat clenching up and tears building up in your eyes. Peter was your best friend and were quickly developing deeper feelings than you could handle, the last thing you needed was your dad against you.
From the corner of your eye you could see your Uncle Bucky shifting from his seat on the couch to turn and subtly glance at your father and you.
“That’s not the point- Y/n I’m just… I’m just upset you didn’t tell me, alright? I thought you knew you could tell me anything.” He admitted defeatedly. His eyebrows were scrunched together in deep thought as he stared at you from across the table. A bit of guilt washed over you as you took in his words knowing exactly what he was touching on. Your mother, whom was long gone and had no intention of returning, was a very distrustful person after your birth. She betrayed your family and left in the middle of the night without warning leaving your dad in ruins.
The last thing you wanted was to turn into your wariness mom.
Reaching across the tabletop you laid your hand on top of your dad’s giving it a light squeeze. “Dad I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hide anything from you. The only reason I kept it from you was because I knew you would react like this. I really like him, Peter that is, but I was scared you wouldn’t let me be with him and be mad at me.”
Glancing up at you with watery eyes Steve shook his head,
“No sweetheart, I could never be mad at you. You’re my little girl and I love you more than anything. I’m sorry I’ve been so protective of you I just don’t want to lose you like I did your mom. Parker’s a good kid, he’ll take care of you and I’m sorry I embarrassed you, Y/n. I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did.” A small visible trail of salt tears were skimming down Steve’s cheek making you feel even worse for not telling him in the first place. “You didn’t embarrass me, dad. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Peter and I, I should’ve never tried to hide it from you at all.” Maneuvering around the long island you managed to throw your arms around your father’s broad shoulder hugging him tightly. He returned the gestured immediately and rubbed your back soothingly.
“It’s okay, sweetie. I can understand why you didn’t tell me, but from now on I want you to know you can be honest with me, okay?” He explained. You smiled happily and nodded your head in agreement.
A new presence filled the room as Bucky stood awkwardly by you two. Pulling apart Steve wiped his eyes and turned to your Uncle with curious eyes. Bucky threw his arm around your shoulder and chuckled loudly.
“You know Steve, I’m surprise it took you so long to figure out those two are dating. Natasha and I have caught them millions of time sneaking around the tower together.” Your eyes grew wide at his words. “Wait you knew?” You gaped up at him. James smirked down at you and ruffled your hair. “Of course I did. You guys aren’t exactly the best at keeping secrets.” Bucky teased reaching across the table to grab a purple plum from the bowl. Steve turned in his chair and stared at him in confusion. “Buck, why didn’t you tell me sooner?” He questioned. Chewing on the plump fruit Bucky shrugged. “Because I knew you’d freak out, besides they’re cute together and it was pretty amusing watching them think they were slik.” A faint blush painted your pale cheeks red. How had you not known Bucky had caught on to you and Peter? You thought you two were as careful as could be, what sort of slip up had you caused? Before you could push the matter anymore a loud knock on the front door cut you off. You dad excused himself and walked over to the door as you continued your discussion with Bucky who gave you a play by play on the exact moments he caught you and Parker together in the couple form.
A voice from the apartment door drew you away from Bucky and caused you to gaze over in realization. When Steve opened the door he was face to face with the one and only Spiderman who stood with his chest puffed out and a look of determination tracing his perfect features. You tried to signal to him from behind your father that you had worked everything out but he simply ignored you and started his mini rant.
“Hi Mr. Rogers, I’m sorry for dropping by unannounced but I needed to talk to you about Y/n and I. I’m sorry for disrespecting you and not telling you about how I feel for your daughter but I care about her a lot and you sort of intimidate me. Actually you really intimidate me and scare me a bit. Anyways, I like Y/n a lot. She’s my closest friend and basically the only person I can relate to around here. I promise I have never nor do I plan on ever treating her wrongly, she means alot to me and she is beautiful and smart-” Stepping aside your dad motioned his arm towards the inside of you home and smiled warmly at the young teen.
“Peter would you like to come in for dinner? I was just about to put a pizza in the oven or maybe make some pasta. If it’s alright with your Aunt we would love to have you over.” Buck and you shared a look and snickered quietly watching the sudden mixture of dementedness and revelation. His hands were shoved in his pocket and he once again stumbled along with his words. “I- uh…um… you- well… yeah sure I g-guess. That uh- that sounds really nice.” Peter’s hand worked its way to the back of his neck scratching it uncomfortably. Steve shook his head and pointed his finger towards the kitchen. Peter’s big brown eyes landed on you the second he entered the room and his lips stretched.
“Y/n…” You gave him a small wave slowly making your way to him. Bucky sipped on his water trying to mask his laughter and avoid staring at you and Peter shifting awkwardly in front of each other. Steve bit his lips as he turned on the oven and strained his hearing hoping to catch in on your conversation.
“Hey Peter, what are you doing here?” You whispered grabbing ahold of his upper arm. Peter shrugged his shoulder and looked past you watching your dad pull a pizza out from a brown box.
“Well, uh it’s sort of lame but I came to talk your dad into letting us be together. I thought it would be all dramatic and he’d hate me but I think he took it pretty well.” Peter admitted. You could hear a muffled chuckle from your Uncle Bucky but he managed to replace it with a cough before Peter noticed.
Nodding you wrapped your arms around Peter’s waist and hugged him close. He reacted quickly, his hand reaching up to comb through your hair. With your head resting on his chest you gazed up at your boyfriend with a sweet smile,
“That’s so kind of you, my hero.”
Steve’s heart practically melted at the sound of your loving voice. As much as it hurt to see you growing up, Steve knew it was bound to happen eventually. Besides, he thought, things could’ve turned out much at worse, at least you weren’t seeing Deadpool.

_____________________________________
Steve wasn’t an open character when it came to love. Someone else would make it obvious by looking at this one person for hours smiling but Steve didn’t. Steve was hopelessly in love. Only Natasha knew what was happening with him. She knew men. But Steve’s situation was unnatural. He didn’t looked at the one he loved with blushes or cute smiles. He was just leaving the room without saying anything. He walked away. Natasha of course didn’t tell anything. Steve wasn’t trying to make a move. He was scared and lost. Afraid that he might end up hurting you.
Steve saw you walking in to the room and made his way out, but you cut him by grabbing his arm. He stopped studying your face. Trying to memorize everything about you. He could draw you later or sleep and dream about you.
“Why are you avoiding me?” He didn’t speak. He left.He walked away. You stood to the room alone looking at the wall. You didn’t realize the tears falling down your face. “Steve!” You shout waiting for his reply. “Steve! Come over here!” He just stood in the living room in the couch of the famous Avengers Tower watching the news. Today the news were talking again about the refugees in the Mediterranean Sea. Small, innocent kids and their parents losing their homes everyday cause of the war. Some of them losing family members, even themselves. “Steve we need to talk.” He walked away.
****
“Y/n Y/l/n, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark. Please get ready for your mission. Five minutes.” The director of s.h.i.e.l.d spoke.
“Steve. Can we talk?” He just looked at you and then continued looking at his clock.
“Four minutes y/l/n.” You locked eyes and raised an eyebrow.
“That’s the longest talk we had in weeks.” Silence. “Did I do something wrong?” You asked and he shook his head. “Just say something to me! We haven’t talk in weeks and all you do is pretend that everything’s ok!” He walked away. You sighed and looked down shaking your head.
****
“Just talk to her. Avoiding her for weeks doesn’t make things worse.” Natasha told to her blond friend. “Do it before it’s too late. Do it before you regret why you didn’t.”
“You don’t understand. Everything I touch gets hurted. I don’t want to hurt her. If I just enter her life like that I will ruin it.” The redhead woman gave him a sad smile.
“Steve I’m sure, you’ll make your both lives better. Can’t you see? You’re in love with each other.” He nodded. His blue eyes looking at you now.
“I will do it after the mission. I promise.”
****
You ran to the field avoiding the bullets flying through you. You had a mission and you needed to finish it. Even though that meant getting injured. The three of the hostages you needed to save were now dead. You couldn’t risk another one to get killed of. Eleven. You heard from your comm and lost it. Eleven people got killed. Eleven people you couldn’t save. So concerned to the mission. So concerned about other people’s lives. You fell to the ground holding your wound. The world and the noise were becoming a faded picture in your ear. The only thing you felt was pain. The only thing you could hear was a scream. Raindrops were falling to your body.
*****
“Hey Y/N. I just want to tell you that I love you. I always did. But I never got the chance to tell you. Forgive me about everything I did. Alright darling?” Steve stood above your grave, the raindrops mixed with his own tears. “I should have told you.” Now he stood in one knee holding a ring, placing it next to the flowers he brought you earlier. “I love you.. Why did you leave me? Why did you not stay here with me? I need you y/n.” He realized that time passed. “Goodbye my lover”.
(gifs not mine)

songs ; you and i by pvris and eyelids by pvris (recommend you listen to both songs to understand a point of view on how the reader feels)
I’ll face my fear of the evening once I get used to this feeling
I can’t sleep That’s when you’re torn away from me
While I’m dreaming I feel you leaving.
You woke up startled by the bed constantly moving. Your head lifted off the pillow glancing to the clock it just hit 3 o’clock in the morning. As the movement continued you shifted to your side, bucky was having a nightmare, you sighed. You knew i was bad to wake him up, you knew he could hurt you before you could even think asking for help. But still, you still care. You’d wake him up, every time. You lifted your body on your elbow, your other hand flat against bucky’s chest. “Bucky it’s just a dream” you leaned over his body, your palms pressure stronger against his chest making his eyes snap open. His mental hand grabbed your wrist squeezing it too tightly “hey its okay its just me” you said you placed your free hand towards his face caressing it, making small circles on his cheek bucky let go of your wrist. “I’m sorry.. I-ii didn’t mean too” you hear bucky low but enough for you to hear. “It’s okay, you’re safe, your home” you said and his arms quickly made its way towards your waist pulling your body to his top as he laid on the bed again. Your arms hugged his sides and you pulled your head slightly, facing him. His eyes wandered over your features and he let out a sigh, almost a relieved sigh.”i love you so much Y/N” bucky said to you looking straight into your eyes, he said it like it was the last time he is ever going to see you.”i love you more bucky” you kissed him,the kiss was filled with sadness and happiness. You gave him a small smile and he smiled back giving you a kiss on your forehead. You buried your face in his neck falling back into your slumber.
The next morning you awoke stretching out your limbs, you placed your harm where bucky was suppose to be but you felt it was empty. You sat up and looked everywhere in the room and you had a feeling deep down something is not right. Then you notice all of bucky clothes is gone.your first thought was ‘maybe he had a mission?’ You questioned but shaking your head You got out of bed and open the bedroom only to find it was silent.
“Bucky?” You called out waiting for a response. Nothing. You begin to walk towards the kitchen only to find no one was there. but a letter and breakfast made sitting on the table. You sat down and reach for the letter almost too scared to read what has been written in the letter but for your curiosity and worry you open the letter only to find there was 2 words, “i’m sorry” you started at the letter wondering why the 2 words and nothing else. With tears forming in your eyes you soon realized it all makes sense; the missing the clothes, the empty bed, the letter.Your heart ached, you have that heart dropping moment. He left you and he’s not coming back.
That was 2 years ago and you still remember it like it was yesterday. It was currently 7 o’clock when you were heading down to the bar to perform a cover song of your favorite band. You kept think after 2 years bucky would reach out to you but no calls, no texts, no nothing and you feel like he left you for someone else someone better than you. Steve would call to see if you’re okay but you would always say yeah and hang up. Once in awhile steve would knock but you acted like you weren’t home and waited til he left to continue what you were doing. To be honest you didn’t want to talk to steve or anyone that knew bucky, you were afraid to find out he’s with someone else.it almost killed you to think about bucky.
“Earth to Y/N are you okay?” James the security guy said to you shaking you out of your thoughts. “Oh yeah i’m okay, just thinking” you lied, you just wanted to go home “oh c’mon i know you Y/N what’s going on?” He said giving you a little hug. James would always help you with set up to perform and most days when you were upset he’ll comfort you. He knew what happened between you and bucky but he wouldn’t bring in it unless you did, he knew how sensitive you were to the topic. “Just thinking about bucky that’s all..i miss him” you said looking at james, he gave you a sad smile “don’t think about it too much, now let’s prepare for your performance” he said grabbing your guitar and walking towards the stage. You looked around the bar it was pretty full but you kept looking hoping bucky would be here but no signed that he is here and you thought he wouldn’t even bother anyways. Moving your way towards the stage you grabbed your guitar and sat down with the mic in front of you. “I’ll be performing You and I by PVRIS” you said into the mic and everyone started to clap. And you started to song the first chorus;
“I know it’s warmer where you are And it’s safer by your side But right now I can’t be what you want Just give it time”
You sanged and you looked around and everyone seemed amazed by your voice, how gentle it sounded singing and you felt happy that everyone is enjoying your performance already. And the sadness you felt early was gone now cause you made many happy faces. You felt so alive singing to an actual audience that isn’t just your cat. Whenever you sing its like freedom to you, your peace in a destructive world. You always sing to bucky whenever he came back from a mission and he was the one that told you sing to people but you didn’t agree to sing to other people, you had a fear everyone would laugh at you but mostly stage fright. but now here you are been performing after 4 months since bucky left you, a way to cope from the empty feeling he left you.
“And if you and I Make it through the night And if you and I Can keep our love alive, we’ll fight”
You looked around and right before your eyes bucky and the whole avengers team sitting at a booth looking at you and smiling, you feel your chest tighten and your heart started to race, you stopped singing, you looked at bucky straight into his eyes for what felt like hours of staring, your mind started to think so you ran from the stage knowing everyone is now looking at you and wondering what happened. You needed air, it felt like the atmosphere in the bar was too much, you opened the back door and fell to the floor and you cried your heart out and you started to think. After 2 years he just know to show up ? with everyone?! God you wanted to hate him but you love him so much you couldn’t.
“Y/N ?” you hear a man behind you called out but you knew it had to be him, it had to be bucky calling you out. So you turned and it was bucky with worried eyes and a sad faces looking at you trying to figure out what was wrong. “Bucky” you said looking at him angry and sadness started to build up. You stepped closer to him to have a better view of his face, dark circles surrounding his eyes, it looks like he hasn’t slept either or have shaven. You want to kiss him and slap him. You wanted to know why he left, why he left you and only saying ‘im sorry’. So many question you wanted to ask but it doesn’t anymore.”i haven’t seen you for 2 years?! And you just randomly show up to my performance?! Is this your way of saying sorry for leaving me out of the blue?” You said stepping closer to him so you could see his face expression, all you can see it was sadness and tiredness.
”look i know i know what i did was wrong but hear me out okay?” Bucky said looking at you for confirmation to continue to talk, “go on” you said shaking your head at him. “Okay so the day after i left i had a nightmare, and it was about HYDRA taking you and they killed you in front of me and i was so shaken up by it so when the morning came, i looked at you. God you always looked gorgeous sleeping so peaceful and gentle, i would hate myself if anything happened to you. So i took all my clothes and i wrote that card and left to live with Steve. And i told Steve to go check up on you and when you didn’t answer his calls or open up the door i just gave up after 2 years i thought you moved on until today Steve found out you were performing so i came to see you Y/N i love you okay and i want to be with you, im sorry for leaving..i should’ve talked to you” he said looking at you for forgiveness. You would always forgive how could you not ? you loved him and he loved you but you felt this time you shouldn’t forgive him, but you did cause you missed him . “bucky you were gone for 2 years, i cried myself to sleep, ive thought i wasn’t good enough. Jesus bucky i told you things, But gosh ive missed your presence at home and i miss your scent and i miss wearing your clothes” You had tears forming in your eyes. just looking at him made your chest feel likes someone is sitting on it and you cant breath, you dont even remember how to breath right. “I feel lightheaded bucky” you said putting your hand on your head and the other on bucky’s arm, you didn’t even get the chance to say another word when you collapsed to the ground.

Masterlist.
"Bucky,” You told him, trying to get his attention.
“I’ll get you out of this!” Bucky yelled.
“No, you can’t.” You told him, but he didn’t look at you. “Bucky, go.”
“I can’t just leave you here!” Bucky argued.
“You have to. I’ll be fine, I promise.” You grabbed his arm.
“But…”
“Go to the quinjet. Get back to the facility. Don’t come back for me.” You told him.
As you and Bucky were running in the forest from Hydra agents, you fell into a trap- a hole in the ground. How did you even manage to fall for that? But alas, there was no way to get you out. At least, not with Bucky around.
“But, I can’t leave you.”
“Go.” You told him, “I’ll be okay.”
“Alright…” Bucky said, and slowly let go of your hand.
Bucky walked away. You knew that agents would be checking traps soon, and you came go with two solutions.
One) Let the agents get you and try to kill them all off and escape.
Two) Try to conjure up your, hidden, enhancement.

29. All I want is you! 50. So whose the unlucky girl?
Requested by @justareader —-
There you were, sitting outside under a tree. You were lost in your book, not once taking your eyes off the pages.
Bucky watched your from afar. A smile appearing on his lips. He was captivated by you. Ever since the first second he saw you walk in to Tony’s lab, he was hooked.
That was about six months ago, and he had made it his mission to get to know you.
But little did he know, he would start to fall for you. Which brought him here.
He took in a deep breath, and started toward you. His heart was pounding profusely with every step he took.
“Hey.” He muttered, capturing your attention.
You shot your gaze up to him, squinting your eyes as the sun blinded you for a moment. “Hi!” You smiled.
Bucky loved that smile, it was the one he had memorized.
“I kind of need help with something.” He exhaled, digging his hands deep into his pockets.
You closed your book, and propped up to your feet. You raised a brow, crossing your arms over your chest. “So whose the unlucky girl?” You teased.
Bucky swallowed hard, glancing at the floor then back to you. His stomach was churning more and more. “Uh–”
“Let me guess, is it that girl from the bar! The blonde chick that you slept with?Because she didn’t seem like your type. Just saying.”
He shook his head feeling the heat radiate off his body. “No.” He exhaled. “Actually, it’s you.”
Suddenly you were frozen. As your eye brows furrowed, you locked your gaze with his. Scanning his face for bluff. “Bullshit.” You lightly chuckled.
Bucky quickly licked his lips. “I’m serious Y/N. All I want is you.” He stated. “I am completely and hopelessly in love with you.”
“B-But what about–what about the blonde? The one you’ve been–”
“I tried to push my feelings aside but I couldn’t because, she’s not you.” He expressed. “No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to stop thinking about you.”
“Buck-”
“I love you Y/N.”

It was a very rare occasion to have Clint’s whole family come to the tower. When they did venture out of their farm, the whole team made sure to accommodate them accordingly.
Which was why you and the other Avengers were strung up in a game of hide and seek. Cooper and Lila, his older kids, were more interested in picking up Mjolnir or sledding down the stairs in Steve’s shield, but Nathaniel was only a few years old and because no one wanted him to throw a tantrum, they agreed to do whatever he wanted.
Bucky was lucky enough to escape the game, excusing himself to a shower before Clint so much as stepped into the building. You tried to get away too, desperately craving a good nap before Fury sent you on another mission, but decided too late. The second you were about to slip out the door, the oldest Barton spawn ran straight for your legs and hopped on, clinging to your hips for dear life.
“Auntie Y/N! You’re gonna play with us, right? You gotta!” Cooper pressed his face into your side and you laughed, ruffling his hair and backing away from the door slightly. You may have been an Avenger, but having a 70 pound tumour on your leg would throw anyone off balance if they moved too much.
“How could I say no to that face? What’s the plan Mini Cooper?” You gently pried him off your leg and recovered with just enough time to catch Lila as she threw herself at you. Her hug knocked the wind right out of you and you gave Clint a look that said this one’s an Avenger for sure.
“Nate wants to play Hide and Seek.” Lila grumbled and you put on your game face.
“You two ready to make this fun?” Your grin alone was enough to convince them of your plan. They nodded frantically and you pulled them into a huddle to hatch your play.
“Lila, you’re gonna stick with Pietro. That’s the lost silver puppy over there, see him?” You pointed imperceptibly to Pietro, standing awkward in the corner while his sister spoke to Laura. Lila nodded. “He can’t be caught, so just hop on up for a piggyback and you’re sure to win.”
“Coop, you go with Steve.” Cooper looked over at the soldier and groaned, eliciting a grin from you. “I know he’s gonna be hard to hide with all that beef, but if you do get caught, he’ll sacrifice himself for you to run free.”
“Auntie Y/N, who are you teaming up with?” You spared them a mischievous smirk before standing up and dusting yourself off.
“A little thing you should know about me kids, I play to win.” To which they shrugged and ran over to their assigned partners. Pietro looked a little alarmed at the little girl trying to climb onto his back but Steve picked Cooper up and placed him on his shoulders like a champ.
Clint faced the wall and started counting down from 50. Initially, Tony had decided it was his duty to be the first Seeker, but Vision informed everyone that he would just use F.R.I.D.A.Y. to figure out where they all hid. Clint would be hard to fool, but it was better than flat out cheating.
You had gone on too many missions to think staying still was in your best interest, so whenever you heard Clint’s passing footsteps you made sure to slink away from your current spot to find another. This was the perfect plan, until Nathaniel was caught and decided he would be Assistant Seeker.
You had thought, wrongfully, that none of the Barton gang would betray you, but apparently he was too young to get the memo. Once he had hunted you down, he trailed behind you like a cute, chubby-cheeked hounddog. And once you were cornered in the first unlocked bedroom you could find, Nathaniel ignored your mouthing traitor and started to shout.
“Daddy!” And he continued to blabber on with the sort of rounded drawl only a four year old could have despite your flailing arms and wide eyes.
You really couldn’t have picked a worse room to get caught in, there were next to no hiding spaces aside from under the bed, and there was no way you could fit inside the vent. The only option you had was to run to the attached bathroom and pray the door wasn’t locked. So you did.
And by some miracle it was unlocked. And by another miracle Bucky was in there, wearing nothing but a white towel that wrapped snugly (and lowly, very very lowly) around his hips.
You were still trying to slow your racing heart from just barely closing the door in time to avoid Clint, but now you had a whole new reason for the rapid beat.
Because Bucky, well he looked ripped with all of his combat gear on. Now all he was wearing was steam and the little trickles of water his hair allowed to fall over his skin, and he looked hunkier than ever. It was a good thing you were leaning against the door, too, because there was no way you could stand up all on your own.
“Oh.” You knew you should apologize or toss out your usual witty remark but c'mon, how could anyone be witty when Bucky’s abs were on full display?
“Hi to you too sweetcheeks. Enjoying the view?” He had only sent you a curious gaze before going back to brushing his teeth.
The real question was how could you say yes without making it sound like yes?
“Nope.” Not like that. Bucky spit out his toothpaste and put his toothbrush back before walking over to the door you were guarding.
“Really? ‘Cause your jaw on the floor says something else.” You were sure it did.
“Do you expect me to believe if you’d been the one walking in on me after a shower, you wouldn’t be a little bothered?” There it was, that nervous confidence Bucky brewed in you. He was not helping, however, when he continued to walk towards you. At this point his hand was against the wooden door to your left and he kept getting closer and closer.
Too close for your heartbeat to be kept a secret, surely.
“Are you bothered Y/N?” It was a breath, an airy growl. He was teasing you in the way a cloud teased rain and it wasn’t fair at all.
“Why don’t you tell me.” Your voice was just as low, and you watched Bucky’s ocean hues glide down to your lips for a moment. You were pressed so far into the door you thought you’d leave a dent, and your skin was burning enough to set fire to the wooden support. Bucky’s minty breath was the only oxygen you could get and the few inches between you was getting smaller and smaller.
And then the door opened and you very literally crashed to the floor, bombarded with cold air and Clint’s laugh and Bucky’s quickly recovered serious face. Like you weren’t a millisecond away from kissing, like there wasn’t anything more than careless flirting beneath your careless flirting.
“At least tell me I’m the last one.” You dropped your head onto the wooden floor and covered your face, trying to rub away the blush you were definitely sporting. Nathaniel hopped up on your stomach and giggled enthusiastically at your downfall.
“Can’t reach Pietro and Lila.” Clint’s grin refused to falter as he took in the scandalous picture Bucky’s nearly naked stature painted. “Sorry for interrupting. Let’s go Nate, there’s too much tension in this room for it to be PG.” Nathaniel crawled off your stomach and trampled after his dad.
So much for that fantasy.

“Nat I swear to god if you accuse me of dating Bucky one more time I will tie you to a boulder and drop you into the ocean.” Your redheaded friend was looking gorgeous as ever behind the bar she usually tended during these parties, but it didn’t matter how nice she looked, she was still getting on your nerves.
Not that you didn’t enjoy the prospect of dating Bucky, he was a very dateable guy. And the thought of having him all to yourself was enough to fuel your daydreams for months, but there was no point in getting your hopes up for something that would never happen. Sure, you almost kissed, but that was in the heat of the moment. The second Clint had walked away it was like Bucky had never been that close in the first place.
“Prove it then. I don’t believe in anything I can’t see with my own eyes.” You were disgruntled enough to do it, though you had no idea what you were going to do until you stomped through the finely-dressed crowd and stepped right up to Bucky.
He looked great too, straight out of an expensive painting or some sort of F Scott Fitzgerald novel with his hair slicked back and a polite smile settled on his lips. You gave him just enough time to recognize you before taking a fist full of his lapels and dragging him down to meet your lips.
The plan had been to kiss him a little, pull away, and stride your way back to Nat. You weren’t quite sure how that was gonna stop her from calling out your feelings, but no one said you were great at making plans.
Regardless, that’s not how it went down. Your lips met and it was like jumping into a lake on the hottest day of the year. Bucky didn’t even bother to resist, he only twisted his body so he could face you, tangled a hand in your cascading hair, and kissed you like you were sure he’d never kissed anyone before.
“What took you so long?” He panted breathlessly when you separated, his palm pulling your jaw carefully closer and his forehead resting against yours. Everyone was staring but it didn’t feel all that important right then - Bucky’s endless blue eyes made sure of that.
“Me? Excuse you Mr. Old Fashioned, I thought the guy was supposed to make the first move.” Your tone was much steadier than your pulse seemed to merit, especially with the smirk Bucky was awarding you.
“What do you think I was doing in that bathroom before we were interrupted?” His tone was dangerous at this distance, and you loved it.
“I think if you wanted it enough you’d have kissed me regardless of the door’s position.” You could play at that game too, you could smile just as wicked and make his blood boil just as hot.
“My bad. Mind if I make it up to you now?” Bucky’s arm wound around your waist and pulled you closer, ignoring the wolf whistles and the get some’s from his friends. When you shook your head he dipped back down and consumed you again, this time savouring every detail of your lips.
Okay so maybe Nat was right, but that wasn’t gonna stop you from throwing her overboard if she kept teasing you.
Anon: id lowkey love a ca:cw peter parker fic where the reader is friends with peter and they’re not really good at math/science and feels dumb because of it and idk he’s really sweet about it

You tugged on your hair in frustration. You were currently in the library, trying to study since you were on the brink of failing. Oh, how you absolutely hated math. You constantly found yourself struggling, and you knew that there was no way out of it. You let out a groan of frustration.
“Hey, dork.” You heard a familiar voice call out to you.
Well, there goes your chance of studying in peace.
“Shut up, Peter.”
“Nice to see you too, Y/N.” He chuckled, ruffling your hair and taking a seat next to you. “I can see you’re having a little trouble there.”
“Really? What gave it away?” You asked sarcastically.
“Oh, don’t be like that.” Peter laughed.
“This sucks.” You pouted, lazily leaning your head on his shoulder.
“Hey,” Peter said, pinching your cheeks. “If there’s anyone who can do this, it’s you.”
“You think so?”
“You’re the most stubborn person I know. You don’t give up so easily.”
“Yeah.” You chuckled. “Yeah, I guess I don’t.”
“You know if I were you,” Peter said, plopping in a piece of gum into his mouth. “I’d ask me for help.”
“Oh? And why is that?”
“Because I am the ultimate math genius.” He smirked rather proudly. “And I’m gonna help you pass that class.”
“Alright.” You laughed at his comment. “Go for it, spider boy.”
“Okay.” He said, grabbing a piece of paper and jotting down a problem. “Let’s start with something simple. Simplify 2i<6u.”
“Easy.” You grabbed the pen and began to write “i<3u.”
But by time you realized just what you had written down, it was already too late.
“Peter, did you just..”
“Did I mention I was also a pick-up line genius?”

I can’t seem to put Civil War out of my mind so I had to type out this quick one shot. Imagine your dating Steve, when the Sokovian Accords are announced. You don’t know if he is right by not signing and you’re not sure if you agree with your father, Tony Stark either. Just a quick, spoiler free Civil War imagine! :D (And yes Sokovian is spelled wrong in the title on purpose.)
It was late at night, most of the Avengers had retired to their rooms, but you couldn’t sleep. The Secretary of Defense had left the compound hours ago and yet the videos he’d played for the team were still flashing through your mind’s eye. Your thoughts turned to Sokovia. You had seen so much destruction in the name of justice. Wanda had even lost her brother. To make matters worst the Scarlet Witch still felt guilty for the most recent incident with Crossbone.
There was certainly enough evidence for the UN, and Tony, to convince the team to sign the Sokovian Accords. Still, there was this feeling you couldn’t shake. Maybe there was some validity to Steve’s side of things too. Civilians didn’t understand the types of difficult choices that faced masks like the Avengers everyday. Was it really the right choice putting so much trust in a suit and tie who could barely comprehend the gravity of their power? There was clearly no correct answer you decided as you drained your coffee cup down to its bottom.

Anonymous Requested: Can you write one where Peter comes to YN’s really hurt and she has to patch him up and make sure he’s safe and no in anymore pain, a few weeks after he tells her he’s Spider-Man and he tries to break up with her but she’s like, No im kinda in love with you, and maybe they end up sleeping together or something? (Doesn’t have to be sexual- preferably not lol)
Broken Heart
A rapid knock at your window awoke you from your slumber. You were so close with Peter that you could tell the difference between his knocks based off of his moods. His usual knock was very playful, but this rapid succession knock let you know that whatever it was was an absolute emergency. You looked over at your clock and it read 2:06 in the morning. What could Peter have done at 2 in the morning? You crawled out of bed and opened up the window, Peter falling in, quite literally. You gasped as you could see your carpet build up blood from Peter.
You rushed over to him, and rolled him over. He winced in pain as he held his arm which had a long cut running down it. “Peter, what happened?” you asked, as you ran to get towels. You applied pressure to the wound and looked up at him to see him looking in concentration. “I got in a really bad biking accident”. You knew that this was a lie because of how long it took for him to come up with that. You let it slide however because he was in enough pain as it was. You bandaged him up and hugged him tightly, thankful that he was ok. “I’m glad you are ok,” you whispered against his chest. “Yeah, me too,” his mind wandering to the truth.
The truth came a few weeks later. You had started to grow distant and Peter knew it was because you felt that he wasn’t being truthful. He knew it was time to come clean. He asked if he could come over to your house, which was unusual since he always just came over unannounced, which is what you liked about him. You knew that something was going to happen, you just didn’t know what. He came in through the window as always, but the look on his face told a different story from the usual face Peter had. “Peter, what’s wrong?” you asked, knowing that he was upset. He just told you to sit down on the bed next time. You sat next to him and slipped your arm through his, but he just slid out of your touch. “[Y/N], I need to be really honest with you,” was all he was able to say. He started to fidget with his hands, which was something he did when he was nervous.
After a few seconds of silence, Peter turned to face you. “There’s no lighter way to put it: I’m Spiderman. I was bit by a radioactive spider and I now try and protect the city. That’s why I came to your house the other week, I had been fighting someone and I got hurt. I’m so sorry”. You gave him a confused look. “Why are you sorry?” He stared in your eyes for a second, almost contemplating his next words when he said, “Because I’m breaking up with you”.
You shook your head and wiped away your tears. “No, you can’t break up with me”. He gave you an estranged look and asked “What do you mean?” You gave him a serious look and said “Because I’m in love with you”. You two had never said those words before, so it took Peter aback for a moment. “[Y/N], I love you too, but I’m doing what’s best for you”. You knew he meant no harm but his words brought rage in you. “You’re doing what’s best for me? If you were doing what’s best for me, you’d ask me. I love you and you love me, you don’t have to worry about keeping me safe. Staying together is what we should do. You can’t fight with a broken heart,” you held onto Peter as if your life depended on it. He held onto you back after a moment, knowing you were right.
Thank you so much for being so supportive! I’m leaving Florida in a few days, so I’ll be much more active! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
