Day 2: Magma

I'm caught up now. This one was really fun to do. I don't really have a prompt sheet I'm following, so we'll see how this goes the further I get.

break is over, and I already feel like I need another one. Anyway, I'm experimenting with different rendering methods, so have a messy drawing of me being tired.

Since I’ve broken my silence and ceased to be a lurker, might as well post something else. There’s no going back anyway. Finally had the time to sit down and just draw, it was great! After I got past the 3 hours of troubleshooting pen tablet problems caused by windows ink. Have a little sketch of my current mood *throws into void*

Going for nearly two years without creative inspiration and then having it surge all of a sudden has been weird. I'm trying to hold back from doing too much and exhausting myself again.

Do not punish the behaviour you want to see

I mean, it seems pretty obvious when you put it like that, right?

But how many families, when an introvert sibling or child makes an effort to socialize,  snarkily say, “So, you’ve decided to join us”?

Or when someone does something they’ve had trouble doing, say, “Why can’t you do that all the time?” (Happened to me, too often.)

Or any sentence containing the word “finally”. 

If someone makes a step, a small step, in a direction you want to encourage, encourage it. Don’t complain about how it’s not enough. Don’t bring up previous stuff. Encourage it.

Because I swear to fucking god there is nothing more soul-killing, more motivation-crushing, than struggling to succeed and finding out that success and failure are both punished.

Steam’s little corner notifications when a friend launches a game are so fucking useless and i hope they never get rid of them. yes, please let me know that the kid i met on a maplestory forum in middle school and haven’t spoken to in a decade is playing Train Simulator
