Finished!
Man this turned out nice.
Surprise, I made a background for once!
When I started out, I was planning on making them a strawberry cow, but decided to go for regular because I couldn't get those colors to look the way I wanted.

I have evolved from sketch to color!
Came to the realization that I can just- draw my avatar into photos. Like- any photo, and there's nothing stopping me. In other news, welcome to part 1 of me drawing myself into random photos in my gallery.
Re-did the rendering because yes
break is over, and I already feel like I need another one. Anyway, I'm experimenting with different rendering methods, so have a messy drawing of me being tired.
Day 2: Magma
I'm caught up now. This one was really fun to do. I don't really have a prompt sheet I'm following, so we'll see how this goes the further I get.
"Evening Walk"
Older piece that I forgot to post after finishing. Found it in my folder and decided to redo the lighting first.
Part 3 of me drawing my avatar/OC into random pictures. Believe it or not I actually enjoy the outdoors.

Animation time!
I completely forgot that Krita has animation now! Started learning the interface by making a little test with my new persona >:)
Really wanted to draw but wasn't sure what to do, so have some sketches of random emotes people have sent me on Discord.
I needed this in my life so much
I just had a small epiphany why you might like other people's art more than your own:
It's the lack of suspension of disbelief.
When you see something someone else has drawn or painted, you take in the content faster than you take in the technical aspects. You experience it as pseudo-real, the same way you stop perceiving animated characters as drawn or book characters as written as you get into the story.
On the other hand, when you yourself have made something, all you see is the machine behind the theater, so to speak. You're probably thinking about lines, shading, coloring in a "does this make sense? Is this the best decision I could have made?"-kind of way.
I think that's also why sometimes, pictures you haven't looked at for a long time starts looking nice to you again, à la: "Hey past-me was unto something! Why can't I replicate it nowadays?". It's probably specifically because you've forgotten the process of making it that you are now seeing it with fresh eyes.
Art is an illusion, but a magician has a hard time tricking themself. So don't be so hard on yourself: it's probably just that you can't see the magic right now, but that doesn't mean it's not there.
Ok so I just found your YouTube channel, and this is kinda random, but like... your voice is so awesome and could honestly fit a little character I'm trying to animate?? And I dunno how you'd feel about voice acting stuff, but uhh... Somehow I wanna do a collab with you, I dunno, I'm sorry if that's a weird question XD
I've never done voice acting, but I'd be willing to try! Especially if it's in collaboration with an animator!
Fair warning I will be very busy the next few days, so my responses may be delayed, but my email is arcsonara@gmail.com
