Okay so we all know Alastor absolutely LOST that fight with Adam but can we appreciate the fact that Adam was forced to show more of his power and stop joking around in order to land a single blow?

And keep in mind, this dude not only killed Pentious but disintegrated him, the egg bois, and his entire fucking ship in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile Alastor DOESN'T get ripped in half by a direct hit from Adam, DOES manage to escape, AND manages to heal himself or at least block the pain enough to pretend like nothing happened later when he meets back up with the Hazbin crew.

I know we like to make fun of him, man absolutely deserves to be humbled but this shit is still impressive.

my brother is 26 years old, makes $200k a year, and just bought a house with his fiance. he’s the success story you hear about but never actually meet in person, but it all happened by accident. he wanted to go to college for clarinet performance, but he got rejected from all the top schools. so he decided to major in physics instead, and then went on to get a doctorate to put off being an adult for a few more years. but then he ended up dropping out halfway through the program and accepting a job with google as a software engineer. so to reiterate: my brother majored in something he was not interested in, and then he got a job that had nothing to do with his degree. 

he isn’t successful because he had some master plan he followed, he just stumbled around blindly until something worked out. and that’s what we’re all doing–i majored in political science and now i do customer service for a company that makes industrial-sized gas detection monitors. the marketing director at my company has a degree in biology, and my mom has an MBA and works at a middle school.  no one knows what they’re doing, we’re all just trying different things until something works out.

so if you don’t have a plan, that’s fine. most of us don’t. and even those of us who do, don’t usually end up doing the thing they thought they would. it’s okay to relax and let life carry you wherever it’s gonna carry you. because even though a lot of us don’t end up doing the thing we wanted, most of us end up happy anyway.

Why I don’t read Snily as a romance:

A core theme of the Harry Potter series is “friendship”; friendship is a type of relationship that is consistently prioritized in the series over romance and even over family which is one of the things I deeply appreciate about the series because friendship is such a beautiful type of relationship that is so often overlooked. I think the idea that Snape’s patronus could be shaped after a beloved childhood friend, after the first person who showed him true kindness, makes sense with the themes of the story.

It parallels how Harry’s most important relationships throughout the series and the ones that most influence the growth of his values and personality remain the friends he made as an abused child deprived of love. Even after he falls in romantic love with Ginny, it is Ron and Hermione he needs most after the war is over.

It’s not that Snape is sitting around pining for Lily romantically, it’s that relationships we have throughout our lives shape us forever. I still have a deep love for my childhood friends even if I never speak to them again and they still shaped who I am especially as someone who was abused and bullied, those rare safe connections are important and “always” will be.

I just got into adventure time and as a fellow rumple fan that was one of my first thoughts. I want to see a fic portraying Rumple with the same sympathy AT treats Simon and how stark the difference is between pre and post Dark One Rumple.

So it’s 3am and I’ve just come to a conclusion…

Simon from Adventure Time and Rumple from OUAT… are basically the same character in terms of backstory.

I have been holding these ideas in for far too long and it is very obvious. I did not expect to get any replies at all. 

Everyone who does not want hp theories and headcanon spam unfollow me now because this is pretty much all I’m talking about until I actually write the fic I want to read. And it’s gonna be a while because I have not written fiction in ages.
