i like working at plant store. sometimes you ring up someone and there's a slug on their plant and so you're like "Oh haha you've got a friend there let me get that for you" and you put the slug on your hand for safekeeping but then its really busy and you dont have time to take the slug outside before the next customer in line so you just have a slug chilling on your hand for 15 minutes. really makes you feel at peace with nature. also it means sometimes i get to say my favorite line which is "would you like this free slug with your purchase"

Been thinking a lot about the new Captain American movie and how corporations like Disney wield representation and diveristy as a cudgel to get people to support movies and shows they otherwise wouldn't, either because of things like the BDS boycott or because the scripts fucking suck or they mistreated their animators / SFX teams / actors etc etc. And you're left with the choice to either support media you know is crap or look like the racist swine who see a Black Captain America and shit their diapers. I don't know if they think this far ahead / nefariously but it's a great way to split your opposition and turn them against each other.

I feel like im stuck under a dreamworld spell sometimes and i get hit with this super weird wave of "wait, i was just doing something really important. Like super important. What was i doing again?" And i cant recall anything about what i "was" doing but the feeling of it being an incredible plot point.

Like, i was just chillin here, scrolling on webtoon before i got this crazy headache in waves that only lasted a few minutes, and i felt like i remembered i was supposed to be doing something super important but i couldnt remember what.

And no, doom scrolling tiktok and binge reading (which is what i was doing before) dont count lol

I actually really love having carpet because FUCK touching hardwood floors in the morning. I need my stim carpet so i can rub my feet on it like a todler and wake up.

Reminder they want to increase the budget for ICE from 3.5 to 45 billion dollars.

Reminder the majority of that will be for building new detention centers.

Reminder ICE are *currently* detaining tourists who can pay for a plane ticket home and people with visa issues that were already resolved, because they have to make quota so Trump can brag about the numbers going up.

Reminder most of these people were already in the immigration system - that's why they were easy to detain.
