like of course this gay person who has always been different and has had a harsher life than most meets this other gay person who has always had it good™ and they quickly overcome their differences and become lovers friends

but the second an important politic stance needs to be made in order to protect the oppressed the person who has always had it good™ hesitates to stand with their lover friend and ultimately attempts reconciliation with the norm and hegemony parting with their lover friend but not successfully suppressing their conflicted feelings about them
