Is it just going to become a Thing that I post the isolated/uncropped drawings of answered asks on Wednesdays? Maybe, I dunno!
Anyway, here they are for last weekend's ask.
I liked my drawing of Magolor from the previous ask, so here it is on its own!
Welcome to the ask blog, where I post very often for a couple days and then disappear for the rest of the year!
Usual Schedule: New asks posted on Saturdays, first at 8:30am, then reblogged on Sundays at 3:00pm (Eastern, EST/EDT depending on the month).

Damn it kinda sucks to not post an ask as soon as it's done-- dgshgsf
Anyway, next weekend's ask has already been completed and queued!

With Elfilin's warping abilities making it easy to travel between Planet Popstar and the New World, it was a fairly common sight to see people from both lands visiting the other one. Such was the case for Kirby, currently! It was a perfect, calm day back home in Dream Land, and while he usually liked to spend those days peacefully napping and snacking with his best friends, he decided instead to pay a visit to the New World. It had been a while since he'd been there, after all! Especially to the people in the New World, probably!!
Nowadays, Waddle Dee Town actually didn't have very many Waddle Dees living in it, with most of them having followed King Dedede back to Popstar once he decided to go home. A couple of them still remained, though (they had just gotten really attached to the place, Kirby supposed!), and the town was still quite lively overall, since members of the Beast Pack now often stopped by to say hello! Some of them even lived there now!!
Kirby wandered through the town, greeting everyone he passed, all the while trying to figure out what exactly he wanted to do. Elfilin had gone off to talk with Carol, and his other friends were still at home, so he was all alone for a little bit. He still had some star coins with him, so maybe he could spend a couple at the Gotcha Machines? He still had a few figures missing from his collection, after all! Oh! But he had to make sure to save enough money to buy lunch from the cafΓ© later! Oooooooh, a Maxim Tomato and two Car-Mouth Cakes for dessert sounded really good right now, actually! Wait but no, he had to wait for Elfilin to come back so they could eat together! He promised!!!
Before he could come to any sort of decision, someone else caught his eye. Over by the town square, there was an Awoofy who seemed to be tending to the flowers there. He hadn't said "hi" to that person yet!!
Kirby dashed over to her, waving excitedly once she turned around. βHello!!!β
The small puffball listened quietly to the Awoofy's words, and cheerfully nodded at the end, seemingly oblivious to the other's change in body language. He was always happy to help a new friend! βOkay!! What do you wanna know?β He didn't know if he'd be able to answer, but he'd definitely try his best!
Then, the first part of the Awoofy's words perhaps only catching up to him now, Kirby added, βOh! Were you the one that planted all the flowers in this world? I liked them a lot!!β The Pop Flowers always had something useful for him, even if only a single coin. And, sorta close to Waddle Dee Town, he recalled five red tulips that had led him to a Waddle Dee who had been in hiding after managing to escape the Beast Pack. So those flowers had been especially helpful back then! βIt must've been a lot of work to plant all those flowers everywhere!β

Return to Dream Land (on account of just being remade) and games that originally released on the Switch have not been included.
My own opinion is in the tags, for those interested!
I don't have any asks to post this weekend because of the PMV I've been working on, but I figured I'd at least share a few frames from it!
So, I finished the Magolor Epilogue yesterday! Thoughts Time, and also time for some notes on how I'm gonna work it into this blog's continuity, given its ending.
I won't be tagging this post with any spoiler tags, but I will throw the rest of this under a cut in case anyone else was late to the game like I was! ...And also because it's Long dgdgshs
First off, the mode itself was excellent! It might be my favourite of the "play as someone other than Kirby" modes now. I like the whole collection aspect and upgrading Magolor's abilities a lot (along with all the little things he has to say about itβMagolor likes puns confirmed! Which makes sense. Yet another way to harmlessly annoy his friends lmao), and I definitely strongly prefer the combo mechanic as a way of determining score over the time attacks that Metaknightmare, Dededetour, and such have. ...And I do also just adore Magolor and playing as him dhdhshf (though I love Meta Knight too!)
Getting Platinum ranks on Electricky Dooter and Hydriath was absolute hell though. I have no idea why those two bosses specifically took so many damn tries, but they did.
As for plot stuff, it's cute that they tied stuff in with the Kirby Clash games and offered a bit more of a backstory behind the Gem Apples. And also given the newly added conversation that you get from collecting all 120 Energy Spheres in Extra Mode, it's nice to see him follow through on what he told Kirby and actually set up a shop (even if in doing so he becomes more evil than he ever was before by forcing Microtransactions upon us). I also loved getting to see the origin/creation of Magolor's Ultra Sword attack from Star Allies in the battle against the Master Crown!
But! The ending also causes some slight issues for this blog's continuity, given that here, Magolor is chilling at Dedede's Castle with everyone else. And obviously, I'm not gonna change that.
I've got multiple ideas on how I could adjust things to make everything work! I haven't decided on which one to go with yet.
My initial thought was to create a timeline split. Instead of going to the Kirby Clash universe, this blog's Magolor was sent to somewhere in the main series' timeline (along with the Gem Apple still, of course). Halcandra was my first idea, since that would work best with my original plans for him that I think I've mentioned in an old ask (Magolor talks to Landia, who tells him a bit of what they know about the Master Crown. They also banish him from Halcandra for his crimes, but allow him to take the Lor with him as long as it agrees to it (which it does!)). And then from there, Magolor warps to Dream Land using the Lor Starcutter.
I could see the Epilogue's extra level being a pathway back to Dream Land/Planet Popstar, given the presence of Waddle Dees and (more importantly, since maybe there were Waddle Dees in the other Epilogue levels that I've forgotten about) the fact that Magolor is going through a lot of the Another Dimension Sphere Doomer sections from the Story Mode, which are connected to Popstar and Halcandra. So I could see that being the way Magolor gets back home. Maybe he decided to stick around in Another Dimension for a little while longer instead of taking the portal into the Clash universe? So he could gather more magic energy and fully restore his powers before leaving (so that, say, he's not permanently stuck without infinite flight). And eventually he discovers the extra stage, which takes him back to Popstar. He never does learn what was on the other side of that portal that appeared after he destroyed the Master Crown, and sure, he wonders about it from time to time, but ultimately, he's with his friends now and right where he wants to be.
The problem with Magolor being transported directly to Popstar, though, is that he wouldn't have the Lor with him anymore. ...Well, technically he would get it back once Merry Magoland happens (since I'm treating that as part of the continuity for this blog rather than an alternate universe), when it shows up at the amusement park like Β«HELLO MAGOLOR. COOL PLACE YOU HAVE GOT HERE.Β» dgdgdshf. But I have Merry Magoland set as the latest thing happening in this blog's timeline, taking place sometime after Forgotten Land, so Magolor and the Lor would have only recently reunited.
But I guess, given that the extra stage has the Another Dimension Sphere Doomer Story Mode sections (I Do Not Know What To Call Them, I'm sorry dhdhshf) from both Popstar and Halcandra, it might be fine to just say he followed the pathway and the portal at the end took him to Halcandra instead! And then once again, he got the Lor back from Landia since it was willing to accompany him, and then they went back to Popstar so Magolor could make up for what he did to Kirby and the gang (and also because he was exiled from Halcandra).
The other option would be to say that Magolor did go to the Kirby Clash universe, but eventually made it back to Dream Land later on. Since I mean, it's now canon that Magolor goes to Kirby Clash after Return to Dream Land, but there's also the already established canon that Magolor makes it back to Popstar since he's playable in Star Allies. So either there's a timeline split, or Magolor leaves the Kirby Clash universe sometime after its story is complete (...which. I've never finished either of the Kirby Clash games actually dhdhshf).
Magolor does mention that he could potentially warp to other worlds if he upgraded his Dimensional Vanish beyond the in-game maximum, and while that could certainly be exaggeration on his part, that could also be the way he gets home? He managed to further power up his warping abilities during his time in the Kirby Clash universe, and once he's no longer needed there, he decides to use those new powers to go find Popstar (and Halcandra?), which he succeeds in doing in time for Star Allies to take place.
Or alternatively, maybe Kirby summoned him home in Star Allies? If the Dream Rod is able to reach Dark Meta Knight from within the Mirror World and Ribbon from over on Ripple Star, then why not grab Magolor from the Kirby Clash universe too? Plus, I do have to admit, that would make for a pretty cute reunion scene, because Kirby wanted Magolor back and specifically tried to summon him, even after all of the horrible stuff he did.
I dunno! I'm sort of leaning toward the first idea (this blog's Magolor never goes to the Kirby Clash universe at all, spending longer in Another Dimension until he eventually goes through the extra postgame stage, which leads him to a portal to Halcandra), but I still haven't fully decided. Going with the second option (Magolor still gets transported to the Clash universe, but eventually gets summoned back to the main series' universe by Kirby in Star Allies) would mean that he isn't present for the events of Triple Deluxe or Planet Robobot, but I guess that isn't necessarily a bad thing? It'd mean I wouldn't have to decide what he was doing during those times and why he wasn't helping Kirby, since he'd be busy in the Kirby Clash universe. ...But at the same time, for Robobot specifically, I think it'd be funny for Magolor to be there and be torn between going "ooooooh cool tech π" and "hey can you guys maybe not destroy Popstar please" dhdgdfhshdhfs
WAIT YOU CAN JUST CHEESE THE TRUE ARENA???
INFINITE MAXIM TOMATOES AS LONG AS YOU HOARDED ENOUGH FROM MERRY MAGOLAND
I've been working through RtDL DX's Extra Mode fairly slowly, so I'm only just getting close to finishing it up now. I got all 120 Energy Spheres earlier today, and uhhhhhhh
Fun fact: This dialogue is entirely new to DX! It's not in the original. I went back to my old file on the Wii and checked.
Haha yeah you little shit, we know you're planning to betray us soon (still love you though <3)
And then he goes on to explain a bit more, as seen above. But uhhhhhh,,, yeah!!! He's not actually Halcandran!!!! That's a new piece of Lore right there. My jaw dropped while reading it lmao
Anyway, moving on from that bombshell of a sentence, since we still aren't done with the full dialogue,
Remember that post I made a bit over a month ago talking about some of Manager Magolor's dialogue, where I was wondering if that dream of his regarding the theme park also applied to Main Mode Magolor?
Hell yeah this is such a victory for me I was so excited to read that dghsghfs
Magolor stole the Master Crown so he could make a giant theme park Confirmed and Canon and Real /hj
And then we also get a fun little reference to the Kirby Clash games!
A steal in Kirby's eyes, maybe, but that's only because he doesn't understand real-world currency.
And to close out this post, here are the last two lines of dialogue from this conversation!
Anyway. I'm losing my mind π
Started working on a Kirby animatic/PMV thing a couple days ago :3
Return to Dream Land (on account of just being remade) and games that originally released on the Switch have not been included.
My own opinion is in the tags, for those interested!
When I think about it, the Wii Kirby games have a trend of giving you a little hub world of sorts to hang out in.
And they were absolutely fuckin' right to do so.
((Still got Kirby on the brain a little bit because of the Nintendo Direct, so I wanted to say that if Ghost was in the Kirby universe, they and Meta Knight would be fighting constantly.
It's not that they don't get along-- I can't think of any reason they'd particularly dislike one another, at least after everyone learns that Ghost isn't this week's latest Evil Entity who's come to take over Popstar.
Rather, Meta Knight loves to battle, especially against powerful opponents. He also has a preference for sword duels specifically. Ghost is a very strong fighter who wields a sword-like weapon and is pretty much always up for a friendly sparring match.
So yeah. If neither of them have anything better to do (or even sometimes if they do), there's a pretty good chance that you'll find them off sparring with each other somewhere.))
So, like I mentioned earlier, I've been (finally) playing through RtDL DX!
And uh. This dialogue you get from fully completing all of the Merry Magoland missions.
I wonder if this dream of his is also shared by 'canon'/'Story Mode' Magolor.
Since I mean--- we do know that the Master Crown corrupts its wearer. I don't remember if it's ever officially confirmed whether Magolor's plans of taking over the universe were always his own or were something brought about by the Crown's influence.
And he does build a theme park in Kirby's Dream Collection to make up for his actions in Return to Dream Land, so there is some precedent for it!
Plus, I just think it'd be really funny if the reason Magolor tried to steal the Master Crown was just because he wanted to use its power to create a super cool theme park of all things. I'm probably gonna make it canon to at least this blog's Magolor lmao
"Meta Kniiiiight!!!" Kirby whined, batting at the older puffball with his fists as he leaned against him. "Just let me wiiiiiiiin!"
Meta Knight raised an eyebrow, unbothered by the other's 'attacks'. "And allow you to split yet another one of my masks in half?" He chuckled. "I'm afraid not, Kirby."
The swordsman had already learned that lesson twice by now, after going a little easier on his student and paying the price for it. At this point, with his stash of spare masks dwindling in order to truly challenge Kirby's abilities, he had no intentions of going anything less than all-out.
"You will not get any stronger if you only ever fight against weak foes."
"But it's haaaaard!" Kirby pouted, sinking to the floor. Though he may have been Dream Land's hero and had saved both it and the wider universe on several occasions, Kirby was still a child, and clearly, not one who appreciated losing several times over. "This dumb samurai stuff is different from our usual training!! I can fight really good when it's a normal battle. But this is just waiting... And waiting... And more waiting..." He yawned. Even just talking about all the waiting he had to do was making him tired. "And then when I can actually fight without getting in trouble, I've gotta be really really fast, because I lose if you hit me even once! I don't like it."
"What if you someday face a foe capable of defeating you in one blow?" Given the exceedingly powerful threats Kirby had faced in recent times, such an opponent was not entirely out of the question. So, it was important that, as his mentor, Meta Knight prepared him for the situation before it could arise. "It may be more wise to dodge rather than strike first in such a scenario, that is true, but the point of this exercise is to train your reaction time. Being able to react quickly and intelligently to anything your opponent may throw at you in the heat of battle is a vital skill to learn."
Kirby merely grumbled in response, absentmindedly wondering if there was any copy ability he could use to melt further into the ground. Maybe Meta Knight's lecture made just a teensy tiny little bit of sense, but it didn't make him any less frustrated by the new training regimen.
Meta Knight sighed at the young puff's antics, and produced the Maxim Tomato he had kept safely tucked within his cape. They had been training for a while now, he supposed, and it was good to have small rests every now and then between sessions. ...Even if that was something he himself was notoriously bad at incorporating into his own training. Luckily for the swordsman, Kirby immediately perked up upon seeing his favourite food.
"You will get better with practice, I am sure." Meta Knight said. "You are already quite skilled at spooking Dedede with that party popper, I must say." Handing Kirby the tomato, he added, "Take a break for now, however, and let me know when you are prepared to resume our training."
"Mm-hm! Thank you, Meta Knight!" Kirby gleefully responded, his sour mood forgotten as he held the precious Maxim Tomato in his hands. Good food made everything better! The new type of training was still dumb, in his opinion, and it was gonna be hard to beat Meta Knight with all those extra rules in place, but thanks to his snack, he had a feeling that he could do it!!
...Meanwhile, in the distance and out of sight of the unsuspecting duo, Magolor snickered to himself as he prepared his legion of mini Scarcutter attacks. It was wonderful to see his friends enjoying the theme park he created, and while he did have some Park Manager work to attend to... Well, who's to say he couldn't have his own fun in Merry Magoland's attractions?
haha so i sure did forget to reblog old posts two weeks in a row huh
As an apology, take a rough sketch of one of the panels for the next ask! In which Marx gets squished dgdgsh
No promises on when this ask'll actually be finished though. I've got a couple other art projects I'm working on, and this ask is also gonna be like 5 panels long dgdhsf
The ending bit of Attack of the Killer Queen (from Deltarune) kinda reminds me of Sullied Grace/Dirty & Beauty (Sectonia Phase 1). Sometimes I'll accidentally transition into Sullied Grace when I'm humming AotKQ lmao
Good mashup potential, maybe? π
Both characters are queens too, so it'd fit especially well
Meta Knight: During the battle, I was able to slice off some of the fabric of Nightmareβs robe, which I fashioned into my cape.
Meta Knight: I do not know how the fabric was enchanted, but it has been very useful to me.
Now, I love the Lor Starcutterβs design, but itβs kinda weird how all of the main parts just fit perfectly into the ship. Like, look at it, especially the place where the emblem would go:
Itβs like some sort of cheap plastic toy. β¦And Magolor is often referred to as a βchocolate egg.β
Magolor is a Kinder Egg and the Lor is the toy inside.
Oh, and also, Finally, after All These Years, Bill Cipher has a Gun I finally updated my blog info page!
It's not required that you check it out, but! Yeah!!
Okay, so! Based on the results of the last poll, I will start reblogging my old asks! I might reblog some other types of older posts too, like my old Incorrect Quotes and stuff.
But! That leads me to another important question!
This applies to both the old post reblogs and, perhaps more importantly, the posting times for new asks! Though if the last option happens to be the most popular, then I'll still only reblog the old posts once, but the new posts will get the post-and-then-self-reblog treatment.
Also keep in mind that I'd be queuing things to post on the weekend, probably Saturdays specifically for me.
My taranaza: then again My meta knight can turn that eye glow on and off.
Meta Knight acknowledged the other's words with a hum, but didn't reply much beyond that. Could it be that he was... Jealous of his other self's abilities? No, surely not, right?
...He was totally jealous.
(Previous)
My taranza: well this meta knight more attached to his mask then mine
Meta Knight only huffed in response.
βMy mask also doubles as protective armour. It wouldn't do to be suddenly caught in a fight unarmed.β Not to mention the myriad of other problems that came from not wearing his mask, like the uncontained bright glow emitted from his eyes. Plus, while it wasn't something he was keen to admit aloud, it was also a matter of... Comfort. He had been wearing his mask for so long that at this point it felt strange to have it off. As though he was too exposed.
Of course, he didn't actually intend on injuring Magolor over his mask. Hence why he didn't when it was stolen from him and held hostage. The wizard was, perhaps shockingly, someone he considered a friend. Any and all skewering would only occur during impromptu training sessions.
Magolor, ever unhelpful, piped up with a laugh, βPsh, a surprise fight? In Dream Land? The only one here who goes around trying to fight random people is you!β There wasn't any malice in his voice; just amusement.
At that, Meta Knight raised an eyebrow. The other wasn't wrong, at least not entirely, but... βAs peaceful as Dream Land is most of the time, it is quite frequently under attack from outside threats.β Magolor himself was one of those threats, once, though Meta Knight opted not to bring that up. βYou've been here long enough to know this by now.β

*Magolor voice*:
I've come to make an announcement: Landia is a bitchass motherfucker. They destroyed my fucking ship. That's right, they took their dragon fucking fire breath out, and they destroyed my fucking ship!!
And they said they were "not giving me the Master Crown". And I said, "that's disgusting." So I'm making a callout post on Planet Popstar---
Actually, that gives me an idea.
I figure I'd queue one reblog every week or so, save for the times I actually have something new to post. It's one way to keep my blog more alive when I'm not drawing new stuff, I guess, and also give some attention to some posts I like that didn't end up getting much love
I'd tag everything with... Some sort of reblog tag that people can filter out if they wish, and after enough time has passed I'll probably outright delete the reblogs so as not to take away from new posts.
