I know the sk8 boys will probably never get canon girlfriends because it would upset the fans and ruin the relationship ambiguity, but I have an idea for Adam: his aunts arrange for him to meet a woman, but she turns out to be gay and in love with her lady secretary. The two chat and decide if they're to be married off by their relatives, it might as well be to each other. The secretaries marry too. Now they can all do their own thing in private, produce an heir or two, get on with their lives.

Perhaps if Japan legalizes and normalizes same sex marriage in the future the couples will swap partners.

If Netflix's ATLA live-action series is aimed at the adults who watched the cartoon as kids, I wonder what a remake of Danny Phantom aimed at the now grown up fans would look like? Would it lean into the body horror? The dark concepts previously softened by the superhero themes and age restraints? Maybe there would even be a dissection scene! Please let it be funny though.

Imagine if the timeline in Runeweaver happened a bit differently so that Zaine's ability to read the rune book stayed the same but the king died later instead.

The runeweavers banish Zaine to the Circle of Dreams, assuming he'll disappear soon enough. Several months later, the king dies, competition for the crown begins. To everyone watching's horror, Zaine can be seen in the circle. His greatest fear is being trapped alone in the circle, therefore he hasn't been turned into a rock or rune book. He is living his greatest fear there every day.

Seeing other people for the first time in months breaks through the dull fear, loneliness and apathy - but now there is something to lose. As familiar faces are struck down, Zaine is angry and desperate enough to tear the Circle of Dreams apart.

On the outside, some runeweavers think Zaine's survival must be a fluke, but most of them are now terrified of him for not only surviving in the Circle for several months but destroying it too. And he's had plenty of time to learn more runes and spells.

I would like to see more discussion about the differences between fiction with dark topics that can be harmlessly enjoyed without making you a bad person and fiction that perpetuates harmful stereotypes and misinformation, because there is media out there that causes harm that way, but this doesn't mean that all media with 'bad' stuff in it is bad, you know?

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:

Fictional characters are objects.

They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

The setting that the pastor’s appearance does not match his actual age was decided on the way. Name's origin : Stampede is a nickname/ street name. It means 'runaway cattle'.

Change in hair color: There is a reason. But I can't tell you yet.

Coat's weight: Not sure. It would be quite light so he can run and move in various ways.

Vision: Pretty good. His visual acuity is also good. Plus, his ability to make last-minute decisions in times of crisis and his reflexes to make the most out of close chances are what keep him alive. It's not like he has supernatural powers.

The D in his middle name stands for "ドコノクミノモン ジャワレスマキニシテシズメタロ カコラ"(Dokonokuminomon Jawaresu Makinishi Teshizu Metallo Kakora) (laughs) TL Note: I think what he meant is the "Wolf" in WW's name (ウルフウッド) came from Ulfuls (ウルフルズ) - a Japanese rock band (The aforementioned Tortoise Matsumoto is the vocalist of the band) as a reference. The middle name, D, is "Where (D)o you belong?" It is an abbreviation of "Dokono~" in English. Smoking amount per day: I don't know. Well, I was thinking he would smoke a lot. In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.

I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!

From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!

I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.

The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.

(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)

If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.

The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.

insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box

add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box

delete -> self explanatory

on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic

The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.

Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

i’ve thrown around trigun reincarnation concepts around before but fuck. i can’t believe ive overlooked the simplest one: trigun maximum reincarnated as trugun stampede. like can you imagine all the times vash has pushed up his hair in shitty motel bathroom mirrors and for a second seen a man he has never met but always known staring back? how meryl’s desire to help others and be a journalist always seemed to run deeper than she could explain? how when she hears the name Milly, there’s a strange sense if familiarity ghat flashes in her mind? how when he was a kid, wolfwood met livio and already felt like he had known this man his entire life? how wolfwood felt a similar way after seeing the fuckers that ran him over? how the reason vash trusted his eyes and saw him as a good man was cause of distant memories clinging onto his heart? how vash can’t help but feel like nai has been stuck on a loop for lifetimes but still feel the need to try and help him because he can just feel in his bones that it’ll work? how vash’s anger against the world has simmered down even when he began his life on the new planet because his bones were already dry from centuries of sand and dust? how when meryl meets vash, she can’t help but quickly believe in and fight alongside him because she can still hear his laughter in old bars after saving town after town after town while being chased out? how roberto saw the three of his travel companions alongside each other and could probably also sense a bond that went beyond time itself? it’s insane really how well this works.
