Older piece (October 2020) but I still like it.
Wizard slug! Gonna cast some spells and commit some crimes! Comment his crimes below?
One day I will stop putting sea creatures inside but today is not that day.
I love how delightfully strange ancient whales look. They haunt me. This one haunts these walkers too.
A portrait of a dear friend.
Image ID: A dark skinned boy with bright red hair playing a bone flute. He wears a golden circlet with a braid pattern and matching gold bracelets. He has a green shirt with gold stitching on the sleeve ends and the collar. The stitches make x’s. A goldfinch covers his eyes. Two more fly around him. A full moon casts purple light in the background. A scattering of stars surround the moon. The sky transitions to purple at the top of the canvas to gold at the bottom.
A silly little monster to brighten your day. I think they look funny hopping around.
Really like little red riding hood, lady knights, and fairytale retellings. Expect many more red-riding hood images, it’s a years-long obsession not leaving anytime soon.
Image Id: An anthropomorphic gray wolf with a sheep skin cape and red eyes kneels before a young adult in leather armor. The wolf kisses her hand. Her conflicted face is framed by her short brunette hair. On her upper left arm’s armor is a metal engraving of a slashed through paw. Her left hand holds a knife. She wears a white skirt, brown leggings, and brown boots. A red cape billows out behind her. The figures stand in a snowy meadow in front of many aspens.
Little Western concept I'm toying with. Where'd she get that giant coyote skull you ask? Stay tuned!
We love kickass femmes in this house.
Image Id: A young woman in a pale tank top and dark, pleated skirt stands in front of a stand of snowy pines beneath a dark purple sky. Her long back hair waves behind her in the wind. With one hand she wipes pink blood away from her black lips. The other hand holds a knife and it and her arm up to the elbow are coated in pink blood. Her body is painted in blue gray tones, and her eyes are pink. The sky is filled with snow.
A little watercolor of my oc, Damselfly (pronouns it/its for now). They're a slug that builds its own armor from toxic metal gases like volcano snails. Did I think about the biology of this too much? Yes
Art blog of Ari Coester. He/him. Mid 20s. I post comic concept art, cute animal watercolor, and surrealist illustration. My favorite things to draw are animals and monsters.
