The sun finally came out a bit and the temp rose a little above freezing, so I decided to get out for a hike. Went down to Bayfront Park and the Waterfront Trail. The breeze was chilly however the sun felt nice. Stopped by the nesting mute swans that are there each year. My friend Janine had posted that they had laid their 1st 2 eggs. I was curious how.more had been deposited since they take 2 or 3 weeks to lay the full clutch. Fortunately mom didn't make me wait too long. I saw she had at least 9 eggs so far as she stood up after preening and turning the eggs. Not sure if she is finished with laying. A fun afternoon with my favourite 4-legged nephew, Carl @sdit_carl and his daddy Jake @jake_and_carl @jake.maurice. Started with training and playing in Gage Park. Then McDonald's for dinner, then a trip to Wal-Mart where I bought him a small toy. He was so good. We worked on his distraction training and he really improved a lot in just 1 afternoon. Smart puppy - and so damn cute. They are a great team already. He's almost 4 months. (Well, daddy is a bit more than 4 months old. Lol) We tried on a hotdog costume while at Wal-Mart. Some lightning shots I got this evening. Was supposed to be a fairly big storm so I set up my camera to try and image it. It nearly passed me by completely. I did manage to capture a few of the cloud-to-cloud lightning as it was receding. None struck the earth from my view. Took a lot of shots to get 3 moderately decent images.
