Skyline of my life
True, true
Just because something doesn’t directly affect you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect someone else. If you are going to support something then it is your responsibility to look at it from all angles, not just from where you sit. Not everyone has the privilege that you might possess. To be a public voice means to also be a voice for those who do not have one. It means to use your interests and passions to create a safe place for everyone, not just everyone like you.
I feel the need to say this. You do not need to be directly affected or apart of a community or situation to be an ally to that community or movement.I have seen so many people getting hate for supporting a movement or standing by a community that they are not apart of. for example, you do not need to be apart of the LGBTQ+ community to support them and stand by them against all their oppression. you do not need to be black or native american or latino to understand that the oppression they face is unjust and they are equal to everyone else. we should all stand by each other and build each other up. Â
I am not getting better and feeling like this is scaring me.
I'm always changing. I am never going to be this wrecked again. I am never going to be this at peace again. Never is such an unbelievable promise.

Do you ever listen to a song while reading a book and as you go through the book people die and people survive and things are different then how things started and now you have finished the book but every time you hear that song you mourn a little for the book and those fictional people that died and think about how it has changed you?
