I still find it so funny how the only reason I went on a trip last year with a band I wasn’t in was because I was like
“Hey you should take me.”
“Okay.”
“Wait what.”
Air lock
it’s unfortunate that (some) people in fandom spaces are starting to get too comfortable complaining and being rude to writers and artists who create contents they personally don’t like (“why are you making this character a top when he’s obviously a bottom? omg do you even understand his character?” “I’m so sick of seeing fan art and fanfic where this character is portrayed as a sadist when he’s actually misunderstood in my opinions, therefore anyone who disagrees with me is wrong and should be shamed” just to name a few I’ve seen) instead of curating their own fandom experiences by engaging only with contents they do like.
you want more fics where (x) is written in this specific way? either write one yourself or politely expressing your opinion about how you hope there will be more fics where (x) is written in this specific way instead of making fandom a toxic place by being rude to writers and artists who dare make contents that are not to your Personal Liking.
if the universe does not revolve around you, strangers and fandom spaces don’t have to cater exclusively to your personal preferences either.
to all my beloved writers and artists, write whatever you want, draw whatever you want. portray that character in whichever way you want to portray. I hope you have fun doing what you love. don’t let anybody tell you what you can or can’t do with the blorbo. go wild. I will always support you
This morning I was made aware that one of my readers sent a link to one of my fanfics to another tumblr user, requesting them to make a character AI bot based on it. That user did it.
Please don't do that. Please don't put my works into AI, please don't send other people my works for them to put into AI.
It broke my heart because this story is very precious to me. Many of you loved it and I've spent entire evenings discussing it with you, answering asks and messages about it.
If you loved that story and want more, please send an ask. You may ask questions, headcanons, once someone even asked me to rewrite a paragraph from another point of view as part of an ask game.
Please interact with your fandom creators instead of feeding their works to AI.
reblog if you have skilled writer friends and you're damn proud of them

I would really like this trend of donation scammers sending anons to stop. I block them yet they still send anons. It's very annoying.
where is any higher quality version of this image
I had to turn this into an animation. I can't hold it in anymore.
Slash belongs to me
I hope y'all are familiar with these in this day and age, especially my artists out there, because they're incredibly common.
About half an hour ago I posted a drawing and tagged it #artists on tumblr, and very quickly received this comment.
My scam radar went off immediately, due to the generic blog name and lack of any emotion in the comment, but I decided it might be an entertaining venture so I dmed them. They asked for a drawing "of these", and sent me a random selfie. I got the details and told them it would be $15, and they promptly offered me $300. At this point I know it's a scam, but I play along for funsies and give them my paypal. Shortly, they send me this image for "confirmation" (I blocked out my email)
And they began to insist that I checked my email. I looked in my spam folder and found the following email.
This is fake. This is not a thing. And the "you're to refund the $200.00 back" is the scam. They send vaguely official-looking emails at you to "prove" that they sent you the money, then have you send them $200 (or however much the scam is for). Then, surprise surprise, you're out $200.
I continued to play along for a bit, and in the second email "Paypal" told me that I had to refund the $200 before they could "credit the $300 to my account", along with these lovely threats.
And yeah, it's silly. But it's not silly if you don't know and get scammed. So. Spread, please! And thank you very much to @mlaurel for the opportunity to get these screenshots.
friends asked me to draw a bee with a binky here you guys can have it too
I love birdwatchers they’re like “I just saw my ALL TIME FAVORITE BIRD SPECIES! I’ve always dreamed of seeing one in the wild! I am ECSTATIC!” and it’s the most boring looking little brown bird you’ve ever seen.

Hello, Tumblr. It’s Casey and Bri, founders of Unvale. We’re reaching out to those who are as frustrated about generative AI as we are. Right now, it feels like we’re in a battle of technology against creatives. A battle of greed against humanity.
As the founders of Unvale, a creative platform that’s 100% AI-free, it has been disheartening to see the rise of AI online. Our team stands opposed to every AI tech company that is trying to remove creatives from the creative process. Big social platforms are already ingesting your content, your voice, and your likeness, building a model that will take opportunities away from real people. It’s disgusting, and it should be illegal. We have to push back. The platform we are building is already home to over 200,000 aspiring artists, writers, and creatives looking to develop their stories and share their work. We believe that the future of creativity should remain human-made, and we want to give anyone passionate about an idea a shot at creating something spectacular. AI is the cheap, quick win. We know that building something meaningful takes time and effort, but it’s also immensely rewarding. Like creatives, we believe in the power of human creativity.
Right now, Unvale could use your help. If you believe in our anti-AI message, please consider:
Spreading our message. If you already love Unvale or just resonate with what we’re saying, please share our platform with others. We are a platform for humans, and we need humans to advocate for us, not bots.
Joining our platform. It’s free to sign-up, and it’s a great site to slowly build your characters, your worlds, and your amazing stories in an AI-free space with big potential.
Never stop creating. We need flawed, genuine, thoughtfully-crafted art in our world. It’s the only way we make new things. We need it to let the next generation know that creatives aren’t going anywhere.
We grew up spending most of our time in human-made, fantastical worlds, from Star Wars to D&D campaigns. We know how escaping into these worlds can literally save you. And we’re not going to let AI win without a fight.
This is a fight we can win together.

It sucks for people with terrible memories that forgetting about a thing is so often used as a way to indicate that someone doesn't care about it. I'm forget facts and details, names and faces, and I would love to not do that, but the strategies are mostly about using the equivalent of flash cards to try to burn whatever people expect me to remember into my brain. I'll sit with a group of new people and repeat their names like a litany, trying to make sure that it sticks. And sometimes it still doesn't!
Greetings bugs and worms!
This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)
If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.
The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!
Reblog to teach your followers about OCD
(But also not reblogging doesn't make you evil, silly goose)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, just because the old version of Abysstale is canceled doesn't mean it has to be a part of it.
I know this was my first Undertale fan comic since Undertale started a long time ago.
I didn't like the old Abysstale because it was messy, disorganized, and make no sense.
I said that the old Abysstale and the new Abysstale are not the same thing, that is, separate.
I made a mistake by saying that wasn't very clear.
What I mean is that the new Abysstale is a remake of the old Abysstale. Something that was supposed to make more sense of the story and characters.
Which means you shouldn't take the old version of Abysstale seriously, as if it were part of it. It isn't.
I've seen people downloads my old version of Abysstale to another site without my permission. I'm not okay with that.
I understand that you want people to see the first old version of Abysstale.
But at the end of the day, I'm still the creator of old and new Abysstale comics.
I've deleted all the pages from the old version was because it can create more confusion and people who don't know much about it might take this story seriously and then be more confused about the story suddenly becoming different from the other version.
You can still enjoy the old version of Abysstale. But keep in mind that the old Abysstale shouldn't be taken as canon. New Abysstale is the canon story.
i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
