fym people don't have OCs. Fym they don't daydream about complex stories in their head. Fym they don't doodle little guys they created in their notes for school. Fym they just? Don't write? Like I've been writing since I was four years old and it's just so weird to me how people just... don't. All my friends, all my family, and my s/o are all writers so it just throws me off.
also how do you need to use ai to create a story. daydream to music until it comes together like the rest of us you coward
Drew till in round six. Quite proud of this so yeah
Some weird ass ai "art" account followed me today, so ill make clear now that i(and the system as a collective) is fundamentally against the use of ai.
Almost a week!
No updates to their story bc I’m lazy but here’s their hero costume and hero name!
Peace and love <3
Another sketch of Amaris, I think I’ll start to share their backstory tomorrow since I’m overwhelmed right now but 3 things, Rosie will be important, They don’t have a distinct alt style, and they made a show called ÆngEL impLORE to cope
my main medium is Sketches/traditional art so it looks better then the other art
peace and love
I guess it would be best to start off with a character description?? This will just be me ranting ig
Age: 17
gender: Nonbinary, they/them
Hero/stage name: Dolor Factorem
Quirk: Copy and Stockpile, they can make a copy other people’s quirks and basically stockpile them, but they have to know every single detail of the quirk and would have to know how to properly use it. This results in them relying on a lot of physical strength. (Credits to my friend for being the base for this quirk)
Place of birth: America, specifically San Diego
Languages: English, Japanese, Latin. Though not a spoken language; ASL and learning JSL
Race?: White/Caucasian (Mom from vaguely Cuban origin but white passing and half Irish half Scottish dad)
Physical description: Blonde hair with their haircut being a short wolf-cut that’s almost a mullet with full bangs. They have two rat tails (the hair style) starting behind both ears. Dark red. On the shorter side but very average height. Most people can’t tell because dramatic ass platform heels are their lifeline much as myself. Definitely bottom heavy (again, like me) and has never been skinny, due to their training they have muscle, but it mostly shows in their arms. In fact, their goal is to be able to do one of those spinny hugs to everyone no matter how big or tall they are.
Sexuality (I forgot about this): Ace and Demiromatic, they will faun over any woman though (men must prove themselves).
hobbies: Art and music, making Kandi and content creation
Music they listen to/make: Given they have a playlist with over 3,000 songs on it I’ll just give you the name of their favorite bands/artist: ICP, Jack Stauber, will wood, will wood and the tapeworms, PTV, Amalee, Deco* 27, Maretu, bbno$ (bibinos), They might be giants, Marina and the diamonds, Jann, Mother mother, Baby Queen, baby bugs, ado, Sodikken, Jazmin Bean, Chappell Roan, Banshee, Mazie, Changeline, Emei, 6arleyhuman, Måneskin, Illuminati hotties, Stomach book, and more.
Neurodiverse? Yes: AuDHD, MaDD, C-PTSD, and DPDR
religion: Satanist, before you yell at me they’re a non-theistic satanist and I’d like you to do research on it.
Instruments: Percussion, electric guitar, piano and kalimba
Backstory will come a different time and probably more easily digestible pieces
peace and love <3
This is Ammar, they are cosplaying one of the characters in the show they created (the shows name is ÆngEL impLORE, the chats is L). Enjoy
Hi everyone! It's been a minute. Just now I've deleted all my art, since we're all most likely on the former bird app it's hopefully obvious why.
No worries though! I've gotten access to Webglaze so once I've got everything (over 100 pieces) glazed I plan on re-uploading everything!
In addition to about 50 new pieces, so look forward to them!
And if your a fellow artist no matter how small PLEASE check out @TheGlazeProject on the bird app, don't let people who don't understand creativity take advantage of you!

Remaking this post with better info on how you can help the critically endangered Cozumel raccoon from your own home by BULLYING AI INTO SUBMISSION.
The issue: There is a critically endangered species of raccoon known as the Cozumel/pygmy raccoon. Among a shitload of other threats, the Cozumel raccoon also has to deal with the fact nobody knows it exists. This issue has gotten worse with Google's new "AI Search Overviews." Unfortunately, when people search things like "Mexican raccoons" or "What species of raccoons are in Mexico," all the results show coatis. Which are not raccoons (they are more closely related to Olingos.) Mexico actually has two species of raccoon, the common raccoon (Procyon lotor) and the Cozumel raccoon (Procyon pygmaeus.) If people can't even find the Cozumel raccoon on google without using the actual species name, how tf are folks supposed to know they are endangered and need help?
Anyway, here is a way you can fight back against Google's bullshit AI and search algorithms that are limiting pygmy raccoon conservation efforts:
Method 1: Report Incorrect Google AI Overview Results
1. Google phrases like “Mexican raccoons,” “what species of raccoon are in Mexico," "types of raccoons in Mexico," “what kind of raccoons live in Mexico," etc.
2. If coatis appear instead of actual raccoons in the Google AI Overview, scroll to the bottom and click the thumbs down.
3. Click “Report a problem”
4. Click “Not Factually Correct” or "Unhelpful."
5. Type something along the lines of: “Mexican raccoons are not coatis. The two raccoon species in Mexico are the common raccoon, Procyon lotor and the critically endangered pygmy raccoon/Cozumel raccoon (Procyon pygmaeus)” or "Bro, I searched for raccoons, this is a coati. Show me the raccoons."
6. Click “Include a screen capture” and submit.
Method 2: Report Individual Search Results
Find any search result that refer to coatis as Mexican raccoons
2. Click the three dots next to the listing.
3. Scroll right and click “Feedback.”
4. Select “Inaccurate content” or "Irrelevant content." Again, whatever floats your boat.
5. Explain the error by typing something like I mentioned above.
6. Click “Include screenshot.”
7. Submit your report.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!
For more information about the pygmy raccoon and the threats they face, feel free to visit my site here! I still have a lot of work to do there, but that is where I will be posting updates about my research as well.
Also, if you are interested in learning more about how AI is impacting wildlife conservation issues, I actually have two youtube videos about the topic! How AI is Hurting Critically Endangered Mexican Raccoons (And How You Can Help)

Speaking of AI in fandoms, I'd love to bring AI Fanfiction to the discussion. Because that's been eye opening. (I'm also too stupid at art to really understand how much work goes into one image.) It's serious theft, it's a robot puking back up what it's seen before and you can feel it in the writing it makes. It claims in the narration that the characters are feeling things and learning when that isn't what's happening. Nothing real is going on. And you can feel it in Every. Single. Sentence. It's honestly horrible, and I've been against it since its creation. But recently I noticed something absolutely insane and disheartening.
I'm a senior in highschool (17, going on 18), and all of the new sophomores are using AI. All of them. These 15 year olds are openly talking about their use of AI fanfic and AI fanart. And listening to them rattle on and on about how cool it is to have a way to bring these things to life via AI made me realize something. These kids aren't trying to be thieves. It's not that they lack morals, or are lazy. They haven't thought about the full implications of it, sure, but there's an underlying issue here.
They're using AI because they don't think they can make anything worthwhile themselves. And that makes my blood boil.
Something about AI is making these kids think that the only way to enjoy fan content the way they picture it in their head is to have something more "qualified" to do it. AI is telling these kids that they suck at art. That they suck at writing. And that there's nothing they can do about it. And they're just young enough to accept that.
And y'know what? They probably do suck. But that's a good thing! The best thing about fandom is the way it uses people's passion for their favorite things and turns it into skill.
We all sucked at what we do when we were younger. I sucked at grammar when I started writing. My concepts were killer but my execution was just abysmal. But my love for the original content fueled me to keep going. To keep trying and I'd say that now my writing is pretty darn good. I see such talented people draw wonderful things because fandom made them practice. Fandom constantly brings out the best in people. We're really good at these things now. We don't need a dumb robot to do it worse.
But fandom has changed. Now there's an easy way to create something without becoming a creator. These insecure kids are entering fandoms with that concept in mind. And when they see that they suck, they hit that ever present roadblock of worrying you won't get better. But now they have an out. While we all had to figure out how to get over said roadblock, they just pressed the skip button, because it was there. They skipped the most important thing you could possibly learn in life, because some a-hole made a skip button.
It's like they're sequence breaking life, missed a power up, and feel like the only way to succeed is to keep using the cheat code that got them stuck in the first place.
These poor kids, man. AI isn't just the death of creativity, it's the death of ambition, and self-esteem. These kids aren't the problem, they're the victims. Victims of this toxic mindset that AI put into their heads.
I'm starting to see AI art in fanart tags and even when they are tagged as AI art, people in the reblogs tagged it as fanart.
Let me just say this once. I don't believe AI art is fanart. The way things are, it's theft. It doesn't count. The effort that fan artists put into their works cannot be equated in value with whatever an AI generates. The works with hours of applied skill and originality and love put into them are the works I want to praise on this blog.
So that being said, if I ever reblog "fanart" that is ai generated, please send me a message or an ask and let me know so I can delete it off my blog.

Obviously the age we are alive and able to live in now is amazing, we have so much access to information and connection to others, but anything concerning or connected to the humanities (social, language, etc.) is something that as a society is slowly being removed from the hands of people and being replaced by AI.
As someone who does art (in school and out) it’s annoying to always have to prove that the art you made is yours and not AI. Or the fact that my art teacher last semester used AI to give the class feedback on some of our projects, like what the freak, as a traditional artist is this not something you should be against????
My social studies teacher was more concerned about us using it than the art teacher, and my ELA teacher (who also teaches social studies) brings up how some AI sites are censoring a lot more than others, in connection to certain events in countries like China (Tiananem Square) were when you ask about the event nothing about it comes up, whatsoever.
And the amount of AI being used to post news articles, or using the generative AI on google to get references and information, just put in some work and find the information yourself it will be worth it in the end because you’ll have a deeper understanding of the topic.
What’s worse (it’s not it’s just annoying) is it being used for art and books like wtf bro, those are something used as a creative outlet if you can’t do it yourself have someone do it with you, learn to do it, or don’t do it at all.
This is what started the rant ?? I guess
Something I hear a lot when people are looking at like abstract contemporary art or something is they’ll go “pssh I could do that” as a way to invalidate the artist because something “easy” should never be in a museum or even be called art at all right?
Wrong!!
Yes you absolutely could do that and you should! Art doesn’t need to be hard or even look good it’s just another way of expressing an idea. Like you can literally take a pencil and scribble rough jagged lines all over a page just because you’re mad. That’s still art!
Just because something is in a museum doesn’t inherently make it better than something the average person could do. Like the art industry has been commodified so hard that yall don’t see that you can just pick up and pencil and make marks and that’s art and it’s fun!! Let art be fun!!
This is like my whole philosophy surrounding art
get a stick and make shapes in the dirt!!!
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
Support real artists ☀️
Ur ghibli Ai-crap looks disgusting bruh🚬
me and my homies support real artists who put their passion into their pieces instead of a machine who rips off the hard work of talented peeps
it's crazy how people will use AI, something that kills trees, to 'create' Tolkien 'art' like JRR Tolkien himself wouldn't have hated AI with his entire being just for the tree murder alone... and that's not even getting to the artistic theft.
I never want to touch generative AI with a ten foot pole
I’d rather rip my own skin off and become a piece of art , rather than use AI to make a soulless image with no meaning
I can barely write , but i would rather write in my blood than ask an Ai to write for me
If u don't know, there is a hack where if you curse in your search you will get no ai images.
I was reading the bonus story of a manga called NANA (book 9). Naoki dyed his hair platinum blonde. I had no idea what this looked like so I googled it, but all I got was ai slop of random blonde ppl, so I decided to search "platinum blonde fuck" to get rid of the ai and............................. Yeah, the results were just porn.
If I were alone, I wouldn't care. I'm 22. I can handle it. but what I COULD NOT HANDLE, WAS THE FACT THAT MY COMPUTER SCREEN WAS FACING MY MOTHERS DIRECTION
Spotify wrapped 2024 prove you didn’t generate the entire thing using ai challenge
The only acceptable way ai voices should be used is to make SpongeBob characters sing rap songs
your art or writing could have been scraped, please watch and check the stuff in the description.
Something AI artists don’t understand is there is no beauty without growth.
Mountains aren’t beautiful before they’re big rocks
They’re beautiful because we know they are ever growing every changing monuments to the passage of time. The fact that at one point these massive things were not there is where the magic lives
Trees aren’t beautiful because they’re green
They’re beautiful because an acorn turned into a tree a few hundred years ago and now it’s here, ever growing larger and older and wiser.
The sky is not beautiful before it’s blue
It’s beautiful before it will never look like it does right now ever again, because every single sun set is different. Before no two clouds are the same.
Growth and change are art. You are art.
Good news, fellow artists! Nightshade has finally been released by the UChicago team! If you aren't aware of what Nightshade is, it's a tool that helps poison AI datasets so that the model "sees" something different from what an image actually depicts. It's the same team that released Glaze, which helps protect art against style mimicry (aka those finetuned models that try to rip off a specific artist). As they show in their paper, even a hundred poisoned concepts make a huge difference.
(Reminder that glazing your art is more important than nighshading it, as they mention in their tweets above, so when you're uploading your art, try to glaze it at the very least.)
Tired of having your artwork used for AI training but find watermarks dismaying and ineffective?
Well check this out! Software that makes your Art look messed up to training AIs and unusable in a data set but nearly unchanged to human eyes.
I just learned about this. It's in Beta. Please read all the information before using.
Please be aware that the "opt-out" choice is just a way to try to appease people. But Tumblr has not been transparent about when has data been sold and shared with AI companies, and there are sources that confirm that data has already been shared before the toggle was even provided to users.
Also, it seems to include data they should not have been able to give under any circumstance, including that of deactivated blogs, private messages and conversations, stuff from private blogs, and so on.
Do not believe that "AI companies will honor the "opt-out request retroactively". Once they've got their hands on your data (and they have), they won't be "honoring" an opt-out option retroactively. There is no way to confirm or deny what data do they have: The fact they are completely opaque on what do they currently "own" and have, means that they can do whatever they want with it. How can you prove they have your data if they don't give everyone free access to see what they've stolen already?
So, yeah, opt out of data sharing, but be aware that this isn't stopping anyone from taking your data. They already have been taking it, before you were given that option. Go and go to Tumblr's Suppport and leave your Feedback on this (politely, but firmly- not everyone in the company is responsible for this.)
Finally: Opt out is not good under any circumstance. Deactivated people can't opt out. People who have lost their passwords can't opt out. People who can't access internet or computers can't opt out. People who had their content reposted can't opt out. Dead people can't opt out. When DeviantArt released their AI image generator, saying that it wasn't trained on people who didn't consent to it, it was proven it could easily replicate the styles of people who had passed away, as seen here. So, yeah. AI companies cannot be trusted to have any sort of respect for people's data and content, because this entire thing is just a data laundering scheme.
Please do reblog for awareness.
^^
Tumblr is doing some stupid AI shit so go to blog settings > Visibility > Prevent third-party sharing.
