I'm pretty sure that we never get a canon explanation of how Nightmare gained his castle. I've already explored multiple possibilities with that in the past, but writing my most recent fic I was thinking: what if it's just an extension of his corruption, like the tentacles?

Imagine, overtime he managed to accumulate more and more. So the castle started off as just a throne, then it became a room, then corridors and rooms started being added.

Being made of corruption, the Castle is arguably as alive as Nightmare himself. And it probably equally needs to feed, which gives Nightmare an ulterior reason for wanting henchmen and for why most don't last long in there.

The Castle is a malicious entity just as much as Nightmare is. It's vindictive. It twists and shapes its insides like it's most convenient to it. It has eyes and ears everywhere, but that doesn't mean that it always snitches to Nightmare. It's not a beast that Nightmare controls after all, it considers itself on the same level as the god. It only tends to aid Nightmare because he's the one bringing it food. But it could be interesting if, at some point, it starts working on selecting certain people to keep forever so that it can grow independent and kick Nightmare out. After all, I highly doubt that two incarnations of the same corruption would like to share a space forever.

I imagine that, someone like Killer who's grown so used to reading all of Nightmare's micro-movements would probably study the Castle with just as much attention. That could explain how he was able to sneak around with Color behind Nightmare's back. He probably knew how to get on the Castle's good side.

Although, I do think that the Castle's favorite resident would likely be Dust. He has nowhere else to be, no one waiting for him, and he's filled to the brim with negativity. That's an ideal candidate for a permanent stay.

Funnily enough, I think Nightmare himself would be the Castle's least favorite resident. He's unfortunately just very useful.

It’s sad how much of what is taught in school is useless to over 99% of the population.

There are literally math concepts taught in high school and middle school that are only used in extremely specialized fields or that are even so outdated they aren’t used anymore!

Why the hell would you genuinely think that's okay?? I know your probably not mentally well as well. But why are you encouraging suicide for other people. Or promoting it as an actual solution. That's messed up and cruel. Dead ass.

Never do that. Never ever do that, even if your not okay at the moment. I don't care how fucked up your life might be, but if your saying that on an online platform. Even if you don't have any followers, or people who look up to you. Do not do that shit. It's bad for you, and can incline someone else to doubt themselves. Someone could've worked up the courage to call, and you little comment could've destroyed their entire idea.

I don't care how meaningless you think it is. To someone, it could literally stop them from trying to get help.

SERVICE DOG PSA

So today I tripped. Fell flat on my face, it was awful but ultimately harmless. My service dog, however, is trained to go get an adult if I have a seizure, and he assumed this was a seizure (were training him to do more to care for me, but we didn’t learn I had epilepsy until a year after we got him)

I went after him after I had dusten off my jeans and my ego, and I found him trying to get the attention of a very annoyed woman. She was swatting him away and telling him to go away. So I feel like I need to make this heads up

If a service dog without a person approaches you, it means the person is down and in need of help

Don’t get scared, don’t get annoyed, follow the dog! If it had been an emergency situation, I could have vomited and choked, I could have hit my head, I could have had so many things happen to me. We’re going to update his training so if the first person doesn’t cooperate, he moves on, but seriously guys. If what’s-his-face could understand that lassie wanted him to go to the well, you can figure out that a dog in a vest proclaiming it a service dog wants you to follow him

Small Vent about Art Progression

Man. It’s really strange seeing Highschool and even Middle School artists be so GOOD at art.

I’ve spent YEARS, basically all my life, drawing. Not everyday and not every year, mind you, but enough to where I don’t understand how well some people can draw so well at such an early age.

I’m not angry or upset about it. I actually really admire young artists and hope they excel!!!

I’m more puzzled than anything… Like- how the hell did they do it. Ya know? I drew almost everyday in highschool. I drew backgrounds and characters, and pushed my limits (I thought), but my drawing skills were and still are very slow to implement.

And the thing is I KNOW i work slower than most. It’s been like this all my life, even with tests and homework. But dang does the feeling still feel awkward.

It’s not like I’m obsessed with comparing my art. I don’t do that. I’m very glad I don’t.

It’s a subconscious stress, from noticing others have an easier time drawing than I do. Even if we enjoy it the same.

Eh. Anyways feel free to add you own stresses about art to vent. I’m doing fine mentally!!! Just confused tbh.
