The Hand of God
Cackled at the thought of Hannibal being a famous cook on youtube who invites people on his channel for mukbangs "HUMAN MEAT MUKBANG"
I am not a fan of mukbang videos but I would gladly watch Will Graham eating. I think he is very satisfying to watch.
the only reason why he had a child was because he became obsessed with the idea of normalcy
emotionally repressed and wouldn't know how to talk to you
conversations would be limited to "how was your day?" and "how was work?"
being emotionally present and vulnerable is uncomfortable for him
he would show up to teacher meetings just to reassure himself that he was taking taking care of you and cared about your grades/how you're doing socially
sometimes you would go on a walk together, make s'mores, or he would teach you how to fish
these little moments would keep you clinging to the idea that he really did love and care for you/convinces you that he was a good dad
his job takes up most of his time, so he would rarely be home
and when he is home, he's sleeping
when he would have to leave during the night, there would be a note and a pitiful breakfast waiting for you on the kitchen table
lots of babysitters, LOTS of them
he is obsessed with the idea of normalcy and that he would be a better father than his own, but he never puts in the work
"Don't forget to let the dogs out and feed them, I'll be back at 9" he isn't back until eleven
he keeps three meals on rotation and the rest of the days are filled with frozen food or take out
weirdly overprotective, but isn't actually there when it counts
the best he could do for a packed lunch is different kinds of lunchables
his emotional repression and social anxiety would cost you your social life, as it would be hard to make friends because you didn't grow up with a father who encouraged you to be social or teach you how to be confident
spontaneous rants about what is right and wrong/trying to instill a strong moral compass in you to compensate for his own self-doubt
he always drinks a glass of whiskey before bed
waiting for Will to show up for school performances and he's not there
you're often late to school either because of the babysitter or he doesn't get up quick enough
"Can we get ice cream?" "I'm sorry, baby. Not today, Daddy's a little tired. Maybe next time." "You're always tired..."
buys you things instead of apologizing
Fic idea where Will buys a sketchy house for unbelievably cheap, only to regret buying it because the house is haunted by a malevolent spirit (Hannibal) that wants him to please stop messing up his beautiful home with his blasphemous modern technology (also please stop tearing out the floorboards because you're going to find my medieval torture chamber and I will have to get rid of you no matter how attractive you are)
imagine how good it must feel to press a gun to your temple after a bad day and just hold it there with your eyes closed for a few minutes before sighing and putting it away
bring back tumblr ask culture let me. bother you with questions and statements
If I ever end up smoking cigarettes, just know that it wasn't me giving into peer pressure, I made that decision all by myself
Eileen (2023) | Fan Theory
I rewatched Eileen (with my sister who loved the movie btw) and I just had a thought pop into my head! I don't know if this is a known thing or if someone has already thought of this, but my theory is that Rebecca is a killer and her modus operandi is finding an unsuspecting person to frame for her crimes!
I believe that Rebecca finds a person who "shares the same ideals" as her and makes them complicit in her kill, then has that person take the fall. Her victim in this case is Eileen, a budding murderer who Rebecca knows she can manipulate.
I had a feeling that throughout the movie Rebecca didn't really care for Eileen. Rebecca tends to talk over her and never really listens to what Eileen says. Not to mention, Rebecca essentially love bombs her, knowing that Eileen is a very lonely and isolated young woman.
Was Rebecca ever a real person? Was her crying and screaming all just an act? Did she find young men wronged by the system and enact her own kind of justice by killing the people responsible for them? Did she kill someone at her previous job then move on to Massachusetts where she chose her next victim?
This movie was so good because it really makes you stop and think. It's so worth it to watch a second time just to pick up on all the little nuances and foreshadowing.
Anyways, this was my insane person ramble. I could elaborate more on the theory, but it's one in the morning and I'm SUPER tired. Thank you and goodnight <3
saying “these characters should hatefuck” is actually some of the most thoughtful character analysis one can do
