My name is Roaa Omar Al-Khalidi. I am 19 years old, a university student studying the English language. Throughout my years of study, I worked hard to build my future, to be an independent girl with a business and a university degree with distinction, and I did it in my first year at university, where I studied and stayed up all night; But the damned war took me by surprise and destroyed everything I dreamed of, just as it destroyed my family’s home, and now I am left without a home and without education, just like the homeless! My family and I were displaced from the north of the Gaza Strip to the south, to cover a distance of more than 15 km on foot. To come here to live in the south of the Gaza Strip in search of the false security that the occupation army had deluded us with. To live in a tent and in very tragic conditions. Water is not available. We carry it from a far place. To meet our daily needs, Not only that, we are a family of 7 members. Two of my brothers suffer from thalassemia and need treatmentso help me and my family to travel outside the country, so that I can complete my university education and save what is left of my dream, and so that every member of my family can find their future, so that we can find safety and peace.

Unhappy New Year 😭

As everyone celebrates New Year’s Eve 🎉 and prepares to welcome a new year filled with hope and joy, I find myself alone in the darkness of pain and suffering 😢. The shelling by the occupation's aircraft has destroyed my home 🏚️ and deeply wounded me, as shrapnel from the explosion has entered my body.

I underwent surgery 🏥, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful due to the **collapse of the healthcare system** in Gaza. The doctors told me that the only solution is to travel to a country with an advanced healthcare system 🌍 to remove the shrapnel, but the road to recovery is not easy.

I have created a fundraising campaign 💖, but so far I have only been able to raise **1,000/10,000 Euros** needed. This amount is not enough to cover the treatment costs.

**Tonight, I wish that all friends would donate whatever they can, so I can expedite my treatment process.** While everyone celebrates the beginning of a new year 🥳, I am living with unbearable pain all the time. Since October 7th, Ahmed, his wife, four young children, and his elderly parents have endured relentless displacement—fleeing from Nuseirat to Khan Younis, to Rafah, and now to a tent in Deir al-Balah. With each move, they have faced hunger, malnutrition, and the suffocating fear of violence. His children—Omar (10), Khadija (9), Ali (6), and Zain (3)—are deprived of the innocence of childhood, their laughter replaced by cries of hunger and cold. Ahmed's 72-year-old father battles chronic diseases, and his 70-year-old mother suffers from diabetes and debilitating spinal problems, compounding the family’s hardship.
