hold up just wanna say that i'm not nearly as invested in debating this as you appear to be, which is totally cool, but i'm not really looking to get too serious about this. still i do have a response to what you've said

val has power and influence that's dangerous unchecked and what yelena says at the end indicates that they now have control over her

i meant unshakable as in they're not going to stop being friends over this. bucky doesn't care about the lawsuit based on his reaction and sam probably launched it without telling him idk

i think it's important to redirect where the blame is being placed, particularly when considering where sam should be looking when addressing the big picture problem and who's pulling the strings

It baffles me how some people can easily just sweep away the implications of the pcs saying that that's just how sambucky are, they normally bicker (and therefore we are overreacting lol)

I mean do yall not know the difference between bickering and a breach of trust? Their good natured bickering is always in fun and it's abt small inconsequential things, like that whole big 3 scene in tfatws. Like does it matter that they both disagree on whether sorcerers are just wizards without a hat? No, and neither of their feelings are hurt by it, cos they both know it's said in jest.

But this is not the case now, this isn't something sam can just brush away; this isn't some good natured ribbing between the both of them. Bucky did make a mistake by staying in that tb team and he needs to own up to it and do right by Sam. I mean its been 14 months?? and he's still on that team and still being an absolute nuisance to Sam by trying to get the avengers name? You call this bickering? You call this some petty fight?

NO this is not how they usually are, and let's call it what it is - a huge betrayal Bucky has done to Sam by not putting valentina's ass in jail asap, and worse staying on a team funded and created by her and calling themselves new avengers, basically undermining Sam and stomping over the avengers legacy Sam is trying to protect. And if you think this is the sambucky dynamic - Bucky fucking over Sam all the time - then im truly concerned lol

if one more person acts like walker is the worst out of team as if the point of the movie isn't that they're all fucked up but trying their damn best by supporting one another i am going to lose it

due to ava and yelena having what i can only assume was a very regimented early adulthood between SHIELD and The Red Room

my headcanon is that, out of the millenial Thunderbolts, only bob and john experienced Vine firsthand

it’s a huge shock to bob when they’re all being driven somewhere and, like a reflex, john says “road work ahead?” upon seeing the eponymous sign

he recovers quickly enough to say “uh yeah i sure hope it does” back to john and just beams at him

i hope we're not just brushing over the fact that john walker was literally about to jump to his death after watching himself be a neglectful dad

it means everything to me that bucky was the one to call out that bob beating up the void wasn't right and yelena was the first to reach bob and hug him

while i do ship sentryagent, ghostwalker is so valid

sentryagent would also be the funniest direction for the thunderbolts to take. i think being divorced and having his kid taken away, then being trapped in an oven by his employer, and having his body and ego wounded several times over was enough to crack the door open on the vault of john walker's carefully sealed off self-awareness, but we need more. we need to hit him with a bisexual awakening via someone he considers below himself. it's not the only way to get him to reconsider and recontextualize his entire life and identity, but it is the coolest. and bob needs a boyfriend. thank you for attending my philosophy lecture, please feel free to grab a pamphlet on your way out

we should not infantilize bob. he's far from innocent, nor a defenseless baby. of course, he's sweet and precious, but he's been through shit. he's likely in his late twenties by this point in his life. he's experienced a lot of trauma.

some people are portraying him as helpless and it translates to the image of those who struggle with mental illness.

and if you told me a month ago that writing john walker fics would bring my out of my writer's slump i would have laughed

When Bob gets too prideful he becomes blond and that's the team indicator for when he is about to become sentry

Alexei definitely the one to set up field trip to tower for local school

The thunderbolts are a sponsor for at least one pee-wee soccer team and when the press ask why they act like it's a inside joke

The team gets genuinely worried when John says something so dumb to the point that John get weekly concussion check ups

Ava gets claustrophobic

The team each have their own build-a-bear (Bob has a custom one)

Yelena, Ava, and John go to the mall together (John is just there to carry the bags and pay but he likes the company)

Yelena taught Ava how to do makeup

There is a joking theory from the public that Bob is being held hostage at the tower

Sometimes when Bob turns into void, the void gets too tired to actually do something so they just lay there till somebody founds him and snap him out of it

Bob loves training as it makes him feel useful for the team

John LOVES competive cooking shows and hates to admit it. He yells at the screen like he's watching football so everyone just assumes he is.

john performs small acts of service when no one's looking and pretends like he doesn't. who sometimes puts away the dishes? john, but if anyone enters the kitchen, he immediately drops the dish he's holding on purpose. who sometimes refills water for yelena's guinea pig? john, but if anyone sees him, he starts drinking the water himself.

and if doomsday doesn't start with sentryagent making out then is it even a good movie
