looking back at my initial reaction to this moment when it happened in the manga, i can't believe i didn't immediately realise that it wasn't supposed to be taken positively. as someone who's been preaching about shigaraki being an unreliable narrator for years, it's really weird that at the time i didn't realise that the contradiction in what hawks saying ('i had support') and what he's thinking about (his toy. he didn't have any real support, only himself and his dream) is intentional, and didn't notice that his speech-bubbles are shaky. he's not really fine or alright, but he's convincing himself that he is to keep going.

Deku vs Class A

i went to a basketball game our school was hosting and i cant help but think about uni bakugou who’s on the basketball team and his pretty gf who attends all his games even if he’s just the coach

i cannot believe i’ve gotten to the point that the majority of asks i get nowadays i’ve already written something similar like all i do is WRITE !!!

and no let’s put him in a team instead of a coach, only plays basketball for fun but like everything else in his life he’s great at it. star of the team, doesn’t plan to take it further as a career because he still wants to be a hero so other teams envy him for being so good without the dream of going pro.

AND obvs he’s in his long socks and jordans and gold chain and earrings and headband and long shorts and vest. the team goes between red and white for uniform. the red so pretty against his ruby eyes and you can never keep your eyes off him when he’s in the court. the way his eyes narrow in calculation and he runs after the ball like a lion going after his pray.

and yes you his pretty girlfriend wearing his jersey on top of your clothes with a cute little skirt. matching trainers too that he bought you with gold hoop earrings. AND THE IMAGERY !! everytime he shoots and scores his eyes find yours right after with a smirk. when it’s half time and his coach is talking to the team he squirts water in his mouth from his bottle, wiping sweat from his forehead with the bottom of his jersey to reveal his toned abs and staring at you right after. even winks and you roll your eyes. has his coach slapping the back of his head telling him to pay attention and stop looking at his lil girlfriend. and then he pouts, arms crossed still flicking over to look at you.

and then when the match is about to restart he’s jogging up to you, rushing out everything he wants to say before he’s called to court. he’s on his tiptoes, lips pouted for a kiss to which you meet happily. “did y’see me out there baby?” and he pouts right after wordlessly asking for another kiss. your face is still centimetres away from his, grinning down at his flushed face. his eyes are oozing with adrenaline, finger tips tapping against the barrier. you peck him easily and nod with a cheesy grin, “yeah, you’re doing great ‘ki. i think you might win.” he rolls his eyes, “‘course we fuckin’ will, the other team is trash. one guy runs like he’s gotta stick up his ass.”

and someone from the other team must have heard katsuki, ready to get onto him for his trash talk but the coach calls him over as the games gonna start.

“good luck baby!”

“don’t need it, i got you here.”

Had a conversation with someone on twitter and it actually made me cry all over again. In a lot of cultures rain represents cleansing imperfections and water is known for eroding things over time.

So Katsuki's confession apology taking place in the rain in even more significant.

Earlier in the season Mitsuki mentions that Katsuki hates rain.

He hates showing his imperfections.

He hates being worn down and laid bare with no way to hide how he feels.

He hates rain.

The way that things were so hazy when Joel was moving through the hospital searching for Ellie. It was shot out of focus, we watched his boots more than anything. The sound was muffled. He killed every single person he came across, even those who weren’t maybe necessary. It felt like a fugue state, dissociative, even.

Then the second he has Ellie in his sight, everything is clear again. When he shoots the doctor, it’s loud and in focus. He spares the nurses. He’s evaluating threats. He’s making plans. He’s cold and clinical again, the way we saw in past episodes when Ellie was in danger.

I knew katsuki ran to him but I didn’t realize how he BOLTED to catch a falling deku in his arms, how katsuki’s body seemed to move on its own, how izuku have a little involuntary exhale of relief when he was caught and held,

HOW IZUKU RELAXED IN KATSUKI’S ARMS. HIS WHOLE BODY SANK INTO IT. HE CLOSED HIS EYES. AFTER WHO KNOWS HOW LONG OF STUBBORNLY STAYING AWAKE AND MOVING

Bakugo is the type of idiot who doesn’t realize that roughhousing with someone you’re interested in is erotic … not until your legs end up around his waist, his arms above your head and his mouth near yours … and then he’s just thinking oh shit lmfao

these three are the definition of the “fuck around and find out” parenting when it comes to their found children 💀
