It’s been a while since I shared my fic. She’s now 21 chapters and going strong!!

Enterprise is safe to fly another day. All thanks to Captain James T. Kirk’s sacrifice. He’s made peace with his death, even though it breaks his heart one final time to see the hurt in Spock’s eyes. Still, the last thing he gets to see is the face of one of his dearest friends… until his eyes snap back open. Not in a hospital. In a shuttle as it lands at the Academy.

“Once you exit the shuttle you are free to return to your dorms. Those of you who are new, you’ll follow me to registration and physicals,” a vaguely familiar-looking officer says, and Jim’s heart stops in his chest. Surprising, considering it shouldn’t be beating at all.

It’s Pike who tells him.

Leonard has known Jim for over two years now and they’ve been inseparable ever since. He is a man of science, a doctor, he knows that nothing is promised in life. He has lost so much throughout his years - his father, his marriage, his daughter - but he has one certainty left.

It’s that Jim Kirk will be in his life one way or another.

Others must see it too, because one day Bones is called to Pike’s office, and Pike tells him.

“I know how important you are to Jim,” he tells him.

“I also know how important Jim is to you,” he tells him.

“That’s why I’ve decided to tell you something that Jim won’t tell you.”

And Pike tells him, “I’m only telling you so that you now, so that you understand him more.”

And Pike tells him, “You must never tell him you know.”

“What are you saying?” Bones asks, lips pressed together, heart beating fast against his rib cage.

“Jim was on Tarsus IV. Jim is a Tarsus Nine.”

Bones feels the world shattering around him, and yet when he opens his eyes again, breathless and cold, nothing has changed in the world apart from his perception of it.

That night, he doesn’t come back to his room.

He walks and walks, thinking so many thoughts at the same time that he can’t come up with anything, and his mind is like a storm and he’s in the eye of it, and everything around him is moving but he’s not really there.

Jim was on Tarsus IV. Jim is a Tarsus Nine.

It’s unfair, he wants to scream, it’s so wrong. Not Jim, not bright strong beautiful Jim.

And yet it makes sense, a terrible maddening sense. Jim’s fixation on food, the way he always makes sure everyone else is eating before he starts on his own plate, or how he has secret stashes of food, just in case, he says.

It explains the nightmares too, and the sleepless nights, and the heaviness in his eyes he gets sometimes, or how old he appears at times, drained and overcome.

That explains also Jim’s strength. Jim’s courage and unwavering sense of justice. His kindness, his softness also, hidden away under a carefree mask.

“I’m only telling you so that you know, so that you understand him more,” Pike told Bones and Bones understands Jim more than ever.

He also loves and respects him more than ever.

Bones comes back to their room as the sun rises.

“Where were you, man? I was worried sick. Oh, shit, are you okay? Fuck, what happened?”

Bones says nothing. He takes a step towards his friend - amazing and heroic - and puts his arms around him, and holds him tight.

“Bones?”

“I just need you to be here. Please.”

He can feel Jim nod, “Okay. I can do that.”

They won’t mention this again, but now Bones knows, and he understands.

This is a phenomenally good AOS AU fic in which Spock and Jim live next door to each other as kids and are bonded. When the bond breaks Spock believes Jim dead. Imagine his surprise years later when he spots him on the Starfleet Academy campus!

It a pretty intense AOS Pon Farr fic, which delves deep into the writers interpretations of Vulcan biology and what goes on during their Time. If you like Feral!Spock then there's a lot to recommend it. And if you like your smut GRAPHIC then you're in for a treat!

If you're of a more sensitive disposition then this one may not be for you, but I enjoyed it and hope a lot of you will too! 😊

I'm gonna be honest,, I just read fics of the kid!Jon time traveller theme and I got a bit shook when they were all unfinished and I was craving for more. I just started doodling my own version to cope, one with a much more light-hearted and funny tone

And hoping that maybe my drawings might inspire tma fic writers to write more "jon time travels to his 8 year old self" fics,, i love the theme so much i dont mind reading it again and again

1.) Too much time by Hix (180k+ words) - angtsy as fuck,,, super slow burn when it comes to jon’s relationships with others,, my fave one so far. Jon has his memories intact but elias doesnt 2.) Time is Hard by Serazimei (130k+ words) - a bit more light hearted than the first fic,, friendships are formed faster and there are a lot of sweet moments. Elias is forced to remember what he did to jon but has no plans to end the world after

3.) The Timeline of Theseus by Applea (90k+ words) - Jon doesn’t remember anything at all but is still powerful. Elias keeps him around because of his abilities 4.) A break in the clouds by Ash_ Rabbit (107k+ words) - here the real Elias keeps his body and Jonah is in James Wright. His interactions with Jon are so adorable hngg

Kirk bod appreciation #6: The Curves. The Front. The…chest. AND THE AMAZING GREEN WRAP

Bread and Circuses. This…vision appears. The hips, again. You know that thing where you see a really nice curve on something, and it’s just…pleasing? It’s just…nice. There’s harmony in the world and it’s calming and right. It could be the s-curve of a car, or a meandering river viewed from 30,000 feet, or the simple arc of a leaf. Or Captain Kirk’s hourglass. Look at his lines. We celebrate this on the feminine form a lot, but masculine curves? This is where Kirk is wonderful. There’s this whole dance of masculine-feminine and what is masculine or feminine anyway? Who gets to define that? And look at the…chest. Look at those shadows from a distance. Aren’t they just. I mean seriously. And the pinnacle. The Tum™. The tum is very important, and important that we stand up to the people who put him down for The Thicc, and say back the heck up here. Back right up. How DARE you. Let’s just all take a moment to love this bod, and love anyone who has this kind of bod, you are lovely and perfect. 

Let’s talk about this wrap now. This wrap is brilliant. The wrap is one of the greatest items of clothing from the 20th/23rd century. Look at how this is the absolute perfect thing to dress this man in. Look how flattering it is, how it shows off all his beautiful things. Thank you, William Ware Theiss, for this legacy. The wonderful gay costume designer for Star Trek. Thank you, wherever your energy now resides in the universe. And screw you, world, for making it impossible to find clothes like this irl. Interestingly, wrap tops can be found but tend to be exclusively in the femme section of clothes stores. Now there’s another fun gender thing, which adds to the theory of Kirk being expressively non-binary.

Extra: lol at McCoy for looking just like Mr Bean in these hilariously unfortunate screencaps. He’s beautiful too, of course, but in a different way. I’ll leave the Bones-love to someone else…

Kirk was saved from Tarsus IV by Vulcans when he was fourteen, but the memory of Kodos the Executioner and his child soldiers still haunts him. It takes another Vulcan to save him when a man resembling Kodos comes aboard the Enterprise, reminding Kirk that he never truly escaped his past.

Based on ‘The Conscience of the King’ from Star Trek TOS. Mentions of trauma, panic attacks, and starvation.

James Kirk is thirteen years old, and his world is ice, and bile, and terror.

Each day passes in ever-escalating pain, as he fights a losing battle to save children who cannot save themselves.

James Kirk is thirteen, and he is being hunted on Tarsus IV.

He shepherds starving kids on his back, holds their frigid, bony hands and hides them in caves or shrubs that are never safe for long.  He feeds them bitter roots and berries, steals from camps when he can, and takes none for himself.  His body devours what remains of muscle when fat runs out.  He hurts everywhere.

Predators lurk in the shadows.  They are children too.
