I had a design commission for Harter House Meats for their facebook page. The assets were all provided or edited from their website, but the cover layout was mostly my decision. Facebook cover photo rules demand only 20 percent of the cover can be text and I'm told that it uses a somewhat crude sector-based tool to verify, which can force your placement a bit, here's a link to what I was directed to use if you are curious. Harter House in Springfield has REALLY NICE cuts.
I thought about playing a rogue for a while, something a la Huck Finn maybe, but I have no idea how I’d role-play that. I usually never draw a character until I roll the stats but I was convinced that the one I was playing would die off, it never happened yet but I am somewhat doubtful we’ll resume that game. We were finally getting into serious inner-conflict territory for my character too.
I had a lot of fun with this color combination. Using the Rembrandt brand soft pastels, I used burnt umber for the dark tone, a pale yellow ochre for the light color, and this is all on brown kraft paper. the border is paper tape.
