It’s very late and that underappreciated moment in asip when John comments on all the rubbish in the flat and Sherlock starts throwing stuff in boxes in an alarmed fashion like ‘Don’t go I can clean the thing I can clean 3 thing’ is corroding me
Each spell that Doctor Strange uses in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame is directly from the comics:
The Winds of Watoomb
The Shield of Seraphim
The Rings Of Raggadorr
The Sacred Sword of Vishanti
The Bolts Of Bolthakk
The Mirror Dimension
The Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth
The Images of Ikonn
The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak
The Icy Tendrils Of Ikthalon
The combination of that acting choice, the focus going from the ring to John’s face, and the simple fact that someone wrote this scene, and people still want to argue that it doesn’t mean anything??
I know I sound like a broken record but honestly
sherlock’s..not thinking about irene
Okay. But why the fck did they decided to delete this scene????
I think my favorite Martin expression in the entire show is the one right after Sholto says from behind the door, “Mr. Holmes, you and I are similar, I think.”
It’s one of the most damning expressions in the show, like… why would he make THAT face if it were just a statement of how Sherlock and Sholto are platonically similar? Most people just think it’s neat when their friends meet each other and realize they’re similar, but John’s face is just like, “HAH THIS IS REALLY MY FUCKING LIFE, I WILL NEVER ESCAPE”
When the day comes that you have a big detective show where the first half hour was this man at work, and he’s a maverick, and all the usual things… and then he went home and his boyfriend says, ‘Are you alright?’… then something will have genuinely changed. — Mark Gatiss

All these quotes:
I adore [Martin]. Well, he’s quite grumpy, but he’s adorable as well – he’s direct and nice and great fun to be with even when he’s being grumpy because then it’s just fun to wind him up!
[Benedict] has definitely brought something else, like you said, it’s over a century old that part and there have been so many incarnations of it but Benedict, yeah, he’s… he has something special about his incarnation without question, yeah.
[Martin]’s just one of the sharpest men I’ve ever met. It can be at his own expense or someone else’s, it’s always done with a view to make the working day a little bit happier
I: Who do you look up to in the industry?
Martin’s very funny, so there’s a lot of space for Martin, but he does it very tactfully, he won’t do it when there’s a big moment for someone else, but I mean he is one of the funniest men you’ll ever meet, so that happens.
…I was very anxious about [the big scene] after lunch, very anxious, and actually Ben was very good. He took me aside, and calmed me down. He just said, you know, “Take a deep breath,” sort of thing. So, I did and sort of allowed the scene to come back.
“Sugarnut“
I applaud Jack, he gave it a good go. At least he’s a similar physical type to Benedict: tall, good-looking and mysterious.
If you’re beautiful and a hunk and you’ve got great cheekbones you can probably get away with two dimensions.
I turned to them and said: “It’s gotta be [Martin]. He raises my game.
Wanda: Ben adores Martin as a person as well as an actor.
I suppose my first memory would be the audition process. I came in on my own, didn’t do very well, and then I came and read with Ben *sigh* and it went much better.
I think I can speak for Martin as well…
Because, ultimately, [Ben’s] the thing that it can’t go on without.
Occasionally I would look at Ben and then look at myself in the mirror, and go Thank God we’re finally playing Holmes and Watson instead of John and Sherlock.
But [the fight scene] was quite good fun because it was contained you know, it was just Ben and I. We sort of, we knew what we were doing.

SDCC
Mark and Steven have just excelled themselves and that’s what keeps Martin and I coming back for more.
You know, both Martin and I have been lucky enough to work on sort of big budget Hollywood films
Well, I am in the back of a car with Martin and that’s pretty much it.
[Martin]’s working. he’s actually doing the show. he is, he is the only one of us that’s actually working right now.
It’s pretty cool and you know we work very hard and I adore [Martin] and he’s one of the funniest man on the planet, he’s so fast, we both really really love the show so it’s always fun getting the band back together and we have a really good time doing it and this series has been no exception… we always have this moment together where we read the script and ring each other… we have the moment, that communal moment between shooting and we’re going “Oh my God, this is so exciting“ we’re so lucky to be doing this. We have a lot of fun. We have a lot of fun.
EW Morning Live Interview
I think Ben and I… everyone involved in the show is acutely aware of how well written it is and how well produced it is… you know, when you have a show that’s well written, well shot, well scored, you know and you are lucky enough to have chemistry with the person that’s pretty cool.
Thank God we’re all busy, you know, Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss are busy, me and Ben are busy…
Me and Ben were sat down separately and they talked us through the Abominable Bride…
Martin smiling like this at the mention of Ben’s name:
Bonus: “That’s only cause he carries a picture around with him. He’s always doing that.“
