Idk but the idea that trans men commonly enter terf spaces on purpose & then get detransed & indoctrinated into terfism seems way less believable to me than that spaces for cis people will inevitably have some ppl realize they're trans & if the space in question is a radical feminist one, they will be targeted with some absolutely devastatingly horrific abuse that will keep them in the closet & cause them serious harm, & radical feminism like any hateful ideology is very attractive to wounded, traumatized people.

I think the obsession some guys have with """transandrophobia""" is just like, they thought transitioning would magically make gender not a prison. and then they continue to experience gender (which is a prison) and get confused because they stopped being a woman shouldn't it all be better now??? and it's not (because gender is a prison, even if conforming with it gives you privilege over others) but they lack the introspection and awareness to make that connection. so instead they go "no it must be the trans women who are oppressing me"

I think all this online discourse is eroding my ability to see people in social justice spaces as potentially trustworthy allies, not that I had much of it in the first place but yeah

imagine a politician that fight for equal payment, for women rights and protection, bodily autonomy and just because the politician did a pro trans policy this very same person is thrown under the bus and now is suddenly against women by the TERF crowd, even to a point of appealing to the conservatives against the pro trans law
