Arthur and Mera’s kiss scene ranks up there with Peter and Mary Jane’s in the first Raimi Spiderman movie for me just because of how gloriously comic booky it was.

There have been plenty of great kiss scenes in superhero movies, but those are two that have really basked in the genre, which I love. Mary Jane kissing Spiderman when he’s upside down, it’s raining, and he’s in his costume, is just perfect. Mera and Arthur kissing mid battle with their hair flying around and their bodies wrapping around each other because they’re underwater? Both of these scenes just seem ripped from comic books and that’s why they work so well.

Two of my favorite movie kisses for sure, and probably my two favorite comic book movie kiss scenes.

I think what is so great about Miles is that Into the Spiderverse didn’t just make him ‘the black Spider-Man.’ He’s his own character. He’s fleshed out. He’s smart, he’s awkward, he’s talented and he’s sensitive. I’ve talked about this but sometimes people will write a black as ‘the black character.’ They don’t feel like a real person. Miles feels like a real teenager. He’s relatable on a lot of levels and that is one of the reasons Spiderverse is so good.

Watching an 🐙 play drums was something I thought I never needed…how wrong I was.

I know this has nothing to do with the content I post but my country, Greece, is suffering from a big tragedy. Last night a big flood caused the death to at least 15 civilians so far. This flood also led to big destruction of properties and as for now the most affected districts have no electricity.

I know tumblr doesn’t really care about Greece and other smaller countries. I know this post will probably get 14 notes but I ask you please if you could reblog it to spread the word. Even 14 notes will mean that 14 more people will know and that’s something. Because I believe this is something that needs attention.
