It's hard not to feel as though God is only near to us on our good days, but I can assure you that He is holding you tight in the middle of your storm. He is listening carefully to your quiet whispers of fear in the dead of the night. 💛
Only by rooting our lives in Christ’s faith and power can we grow in grace and wisdom.

Sometimes, carrying on, just carrying on, is the superhuman achivement.
Albert Camus
Your trauma taught you to expect storms, but your healing is teaching you to trust clear skies—to believe that not every hello ends in goodbye, not every quiet holds a storm, not every love hides pain, and not every gift carries conditions. Your heart remembers the hurt, but it can learn to welcome joy.

Many situations feel hopeless, but for those who know God and believe in His faithfulness, there’s always a reason for hope as we trust His power and grace to carry us through.

When I ask people when they really grew spiritually, they never describe an easy time. Never.

Life is teaching me the law of detachment. Ain’t nothing really yours, you gotta be comfortable with not being attached. Just enjoying life for what it is & moving on when it’s time.

In general, people are not drawn to perfection in others. People are drawn to shared interests, shared problems, and an individual's life energy. Humans connect with humans. Hiding one's humanity and trying to project an image of perfection makes a person vague, slippery, lifeless, and uninteresting.
Robert Glover
You can't measure the mutual affection of two human beings by the number of words they exchange.
Milan Kundera
“The task is not in getting the healing the task is in what will you do with your healing. The task is not in seeing the light the task is in what will you do with the light. It is when you have choices that God can see who you really are not when you are without.”
— Patience Johnson, Why Does an Orderly God Allow Disorder
Sometimes, divine revelation simply means adjusting your brain to hear what your heart already knows.
Dan Brown
In the long and difficult effort of spiritual recovery, the Church does not separate the soul from the body. The whole man has fallen away from God; the whole man is to be restored, the whole man is to return. The catastrophe of sin lies precisely in the victory of the flesh -- the animal, the irrational, the lust in us -- over the spiritual and the divine. But the body is glorious, the body is holy, so holy that God Himself "became flesh." Salvation and repentance then are not contempt of the body or neglect of it, but restoration of the body to its real function as the expression and the life of the spirit, as the temple of the priceless human soul. Christian asceticism is a fight, not against the body but for the body. For this reason, the whole man -- body and soul -- repents. The body participates in the prayer of the soul just as the soul prays through and in the body.
