I was reading something about Whitestown, Indiana and my eyes nearly popped out of my head thinking it was one of THOSE comically racist towns. Nice to know, at least the name, wasn’t that.
finally I got them all
The crux of the anti trans movement is a war on bodily autonomy. They don't want you to have any agency over what you look like, how you dress, who you date, whether to have kids, etc.
They want total control over you. Not just trans people. Not just queer people. You. Everyone.
Trans people are just a scapegoat. They want total control over everyone's self expression. They want the right to mold you into their perfect little cog in their dehumanizing machine.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Our rights are your rights. Our destruction is your destruction.

One thing about being uprooted - even with your whole closest family - and being moved somewhere else is that your family and descendants may never know which quirks that were passed down are cultural traits, and which ones are just from that particular family. I grew up with the idea that my grandmother and her 12 siblings were the way they were - cheery, capricious, easy to laugh and randomly anger chatterboxes - because they were Karelian. That they're just more lively and temperamental people than the placid and quiet finns in the mid-region of the country where they'd been placed. That made sense to them, and to themselves, since their whole family was like that, and nobody else but them was like that.
Looking back, I'm starting to think I have a pretty good hunch about where me and my sister got the ADHD from.

Still can't believe the entire campaign relied on people not googling "Tariff" and spending like a minute to read the definiton. "I'm going to introduce tariffs" as a campaign promise is LITERALLY saying "I'm going make the price of things even higher than they already are, for you (usamerican)"
He literally won by telling people to their faces that he's going to make inflation worse. Joke country.

last night i dreamt tumblr added like a billion buttons to the mobile app so instead of this
we got this
and everyone just rolled with it but sometimes the wide naruto got too wide and blocked off all the other buttons and people would just post "got naruto'd again :/" and the only way to reset him was to log out and log back in
