Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This Christmas marks five years since the finale of BBC’s Merlin aired, and this spring will mark three years since we created this account and posted the first episode of our sixth season to share with Merlin fans around the world. Still we continue to receive messages of gratitude and praise for the scripts, and we are humbled as ever by the effect it has had. It is fans like you who keep the magic alive.

It has come to our attention that some of the links on our blog have not be working for everyone. Here is a redo of our masterpost for those who have had trouble with the first. The anniversary of Merlin’s finale seems an appropriate time to pass these scripts around again for those who would love to re-experience the adventure, or those who have not joined in on the journey.

IMPORTANT: On our youtube account, we have edited and uploaded soundtracks to accompany your reading of the script. Soundtracks will be indicated by the red numbers in brackets that appear at various points in the text (example: [1] means play soundtrack #1 on the episode playlist). We strongly recommend using this prepared playlist while you read, as it helps to complete the experience of watching a real episode on TV (really, it makes all the difference in the world!). Everyone’s reading pace will be different, but we did our best to time each track to the pace of each scene.

Summary of Merlin 6: Kingdom Come Fifteen hundred years after his death, the Once and Future King finally returns. But he finds himself confronted with a new world that is entirely unfamiliar. What’s more, centuries of waiting for Arthur’s return have rendered Merlin traumatized and struggling with inner demons. Aided – and opposed – by familiar faces from their past, the King and his trusted warlock must face a cabal of adversaries led by an ancient Judge who intends to undermine any attempts to fulfill Arthur’s final destiny. Top Ten Awesome Fanfics *

* yep, not “all-time favourite”, because I cannot choose in all objectivity only ten fics. This list is a list of ten fics* chosen in my five main fandoms that I love and feel like they should be read, but it could have been ten others … It’s very hard to choose. The lovely @justkeeponthegrass had a brillant idea : to make a collection of our favourite fanfics to show writers just how much we appreciate, respect and admire their work. I personally owe a great deal to fanfic writers, especially in the Merlin fandom, for they helped me get through a very hard period of my life. Fanfic writers have been and are constant companions of my life, whether I’m sad, happy, tired or feeling excited, they always deliver, they are amazing people who do an amazing work just because they like it. Wei Wuxian went through so much since he was so young, his trauma doesn’t compare. He still smiles and tries to help those who can’t help themselves. It is admirable and I love him for that.

Forever glad for his “rich” husband and their happy ending.

He comes close, though.

By the time he arrives, it’s 4:35PM, and he has imagined about fifty different worse-case scenarios. The door is partly open when he gets to it, a messy label of 104B—Art Room scrawled with chalk on a placard next to the faded wood. As he opens it fully, he expects to see a wailing, terrified child, or perhaps a scene of utter misery and betrayal.

What he finds is his son, hands covered in paint, being sung to by a beautiful, dark-haired stranger.

All of it was made surreal by the fact that a six-year-old Lan WangJi sat in the middle of the clearing, silently petting a black rabbit that had made itself comfortable on his lap.

Wei WuXian sat nearer the edge of the meadow, legs crossed at the ankles, chin in hand, and his elbow resting on his knee. He stared at Lan WangJi, searching for happiness in him.

Author’s Summary: In the aftermath of everything, the scars of thirty-three lashes heavy on his back, Lan Wangji walks.

He walks through a land ravaged by war, by hunger, by death and sheer neglect, walks through a land that the Cultivation world all but forgets in their own haste to rebuild. He upholds justice, protects the weak. Lives with his regrets.

And then, in a small village South of Qishan, he finds Wei Ying - Alive, smiling, and asking Lan Wangji for his name.
