Finally finished this art trade I did with the amazing @bripickled! They did majority of the work like putting together the images and doing the background and signatures (go follow them now, they're great) This was a lot of fun to do! And although Unus Annus is coming to an end, I'm really excited about seeing people's reactions and art!!

“Thanks for helping me with the leaves Jay,” Chase sighed “I should’ve done this days ago” he said while raking yellow and orange leaves to a big pile.

“No problem” signed JJ holding his own rake with his elbow to free his hand. He was happy to help and they were close to finishing as well.

Chase started to look around looking for something but not finding it. “Crap I forgot the trash bags, there are some in the garage. I’ll get them!” Chase screamed as he ran to find the bags needed.

From the back door of the house, emerged Jackie running with his jumpsuit but without his mask. “JJ have you seen my mask anywhere? I can’t find it!” he stopped at the huge pile of leaves “Whoa leaf pile! nice. have you seen my mask?” he asked to JJ once again.

JJ tried to remember if he had seen the hero’s mask throughout the day, and he had, but he saw it… “Anti had it, last i remember” He signed, but regretted it the moment he saw Jackie’s face, which was annoyed “That fucker, alright… ” Jackie grumbled while taking out his phone and texting someone, he put away his phone before walking towards Jameson and asking him “You raking the leaves?” he received a nod as answer.

“Did you jump in them?” Jackie asked with a grin following with “That’s the best part of piling them, after all! Roll around them or jump in them, you know whatever you want. Oh.” Jackie ignored JJ’s confused face, focusing on the figure coming out of the back door.

JJ was a bit confused. Why would he ruin the work he and chase had done? He looked at the pile separated from the others near the tree, it was small enough to not make a mess, maybe he’ll try a bit of what Jackie said, it was fun after all, right?

While JJ was busy examining the leaf pile next to the tree, Jackie was about to start a war. “Hey broccoli! What the hell did you do with my mask?” He screamed at Anti who was walking out of the house.

“Shut the fuck up Tight wearing wannabe, Where’s the cat? He texted me to come here, I was busy.” Anti responded after fully walking out, standing in front of the huge leaf pile completely ignoring it. After getting a face from Jackie and watching JJ slowly shuffle to sit under the leaves under the trees, he finally says “And I didn’t do anything bad to your mask, so cool it.” with a final shrug.

“It’s not in his room!” A shout is heard from the door. There standing was Marvin glaring at Anti. “So, you definitely have it on you” completed Jackie getting closer to the green man.

Anti was starting to get angry “You went through my room?! What the fuck?! I didn’t do shit!” He fully faced Jackie ready for a fight, but he really should’ve kept his back covered, as he got tackled full force by Marvin sending them both to the mountain of leaves, getting engulfed by them.

Jackie bent down over the leaves “Look if you give me back my mask nothing will happen. Sounds good?” He was grabbed by the jumpsuit neck by a green hand. “Come and get it yourself, PJboy” Anti hissed while pulling him to the pile that took 3 full grown man and had extra space for camouflage.

Henrik followed by Robbie came out after a few fight sounds were heard from the leaves. “Jameson… Why are the leaves fighting?” asked Henry fully knowing that he wouldn’t like the answer, while Robbie looked at the moving and noisy leaves with curious eyes. “Anti, Jackie, Marvin.” Simply explained the monochrome man “And why are you sitting in a leaf pile?” resigned to

fix whatever injuries those idiots obtained through pointless fights… again. JJ smiled “Jackie said its fun. He was right!”

“Fuuuun…?” Slowly repeated the zombie “Robee wan fuun too” He said starting to approach the increasingly violent leaf pile but being stopped by the Doctor “I see leaves by the tombstone. How about you play there? Make it pretty for a picture.” “Noooo Petty no” “No?” The Doctor tried to reason with the zombie so the he at least could be repairable by the end of the day “Otoberrr, Spooky rob make spook picturr” Robbie expertly explained walking to the fake tombstone in the backyard.

Henrik sighed in relief at not having to patch up the zombie again today “Thank god Halloween for spooky” He murmured and went to the edge of the fence to finish his coffee while those idiots in the leaves fought, spreading the leaves everywhere and making the once mountain of leaves nothing but a flimsy hill.

“What the hell guys?!” Chase screamed having returned from his adventure searching for trash bags for the leaves. Trash bags that are going to be used later as it seemed. He just walked to see a Robbie with leaves on his face from rolling on the ground trying to look spooky next to his new tombstone. JJ sitting in a pile of leaves which turned gray around him completely poised and unperturbed by the chaos a bit over the side of Anti, Jackie and Marvin duking it out and ruining his pile, his enormous, ‘I only woke up for this’ ‘ I ONLY had energy for this’ pile, and of course Schneep by the side just observing drinking his coffee..

It’s okay… he can fix this… he just needs to; grab the rake, hit those fuckers out of his leaf pile, recruit Jamie again, curse Henrik to hell and back, and just leave Rob where he is because the corner, he is in barely has leaves to start with. Okay.

Chase grabs the rake.

And that’s as far as he goes.

He slowly lowers himself to the floor feeling exhausted and that all of his efforts were WORTHLESS, letting tears slip by as the sound of fighting slowly die out, but he too out to notice.

“Uhm…” murmurs Marvin noticing what everyone notices. Chase in the middle of the yard crying. “Sorry?”

Everyone start to feel slowly guilty, minus Robbie who now is just sad that Chase is sad and also minus Henrik?

“Alright, I let this get too far, sorry friend” Said Henrik to a still sniffing Chase. “Everyone get cleaning this mess now” he commanded. Everyone stood up even Robbie to re-pile leaves and clean the mess, except for Anti. “I didn’t cause this! This is their fault, I’m not cleaning!” To which Henrik responded by slowly putting his hand inside his lab coat pocket threatening to pull something out. “OKAY, okay fine I’ll do it” Now they started to clean, with Chase coming back after a while saying he wanted to help too. They ended much faster with everyone helping and going back inside after a few photos of Robbie’s spooky spot.

“Hey JJ made pumpkin spice chocolate!”

“So that’s what you went to do while cleaning.”

“I don’t get why he could leave but I couldn’t.”

“Because JJ would have a good reason while you would just be avoiding work”

JJ gave Robbie his chocolate while the others bickered for a while. Then he tapped on Henrik for his attention. “Hmm? What is it Jameson?”

“What were you going to take out of your pocket to threaten Anti?” the man signed, he truly wondered what would make Anti change his mind so fast.

“Oh, I don’t have it anymore, I gave it back to him to fix”

“Fix?” JJ wondered, Henrik signaled to Jackie who was sitting with chocolate still bummed out about his mask, when Anti approached him. “Yeah Anti?” the hero asked with no energy at the glitch, even if said glitch looked annoyed at something. “Look i know your mask got pretty damaged so…” started Anti hesitating looking at Henrik who gave him a nod. After big inhale he followed saying “I took it a fixed it making it stronger, I also used a bit of my power to make it nearly indestructible, okay? That’s it bye” He rushed the words out, shoving the brand-new looking mask to Jackie whose mouth was hanging open, and running to the other side of the room where Robbie was.

Jackie dumbfounded was speechless. Chase laughed “Well, you better thank him.” Marvin kept laughing lowly while agreeing with Chase

“Fine fine, I’ll get him another cup of chocolate.”
