Nothing Really Interests Me Lately, A Tiny Zine

Things you can do to help someone while they're in psychosis in a psych ward:

Bring them necessities like soap and clothing and good toothbrushes. After being forced into gowns for a while it's really nice to be able to wear something personal and comfy. It's also nice to take care of yourself when coming back to reality. When realizing you haven't washed in ages a good shower is beyond awesome

Bring things to distract them like books and magazines that suit their interests. Hospitals can be incredibly boring. They can also most certainly feel like jail. It's brutal sometimes. These places have the bare minimum and any little bit of this helps a lot

Visit to show moral support even when they can't communicate or keep their eyes open from sedation. Physical company helps a lot of the time

Accompany them for walks when permitted. Feeling the wind or seeing trees or stars after being unable to for a long time is priceless

Keep them company by calling them after visiting hours end

Gift them coffee or comfort food. They can be big sources of endorphins. Something yummy will always be yummy no matter how detached from the world you get... provided things like delusions don't get in the way

Remain calm if they lose their composure. It personally tended to help me ground myself or lessen the panic I was having. People who were reactionary to me in a negative way defeated the purpose of being around me at the time

Show good vibes. When living a mental nightmare this can help improve state of mind or even delusions and hallucinations. Like even a smile can help tons ngl

Keep patient and don't take things personally. I had my own mother and doctors yelling at me because I wasn't acting the way they liked and it made things so so much worse

Understand that someone unwell might have a long grueling road of recovery ahead of them. Best thing to do is accept them regardless of what occurs

Advocate for their personal needs such as dietary preferences

This of course is all dependent on what's allowed at the psych ward

Tim taking pictures and then Damian competetively going and painting those photos to "one-up" him. Tim is a little annoyed, but also finds it cute and impressive, so he tries to get the very best shots for Damian to paint.

Bruce Does Not Realize it is competitive and is just like "wow my talented sons are collaborating" and hangs all of the pictures and paintings up.

Damian eventually calms down about it and it becomes actually collaborative.

How to Make a Zine

1. Pick Your Topic: What’s the thing you can’t stop thinking about? That’s your zine idea.

2. Plan Your Pages: Jot down what you want to include—stories, drawings, photos, poems, or collages. Anything goes!

3. Choose a Format: The easiest option is a mini-zine (made from one folded sheet of paper), but you can also staple multiple pages together for a booklet

4. Design Your Layout: Use scissors, glue, markers, and whatever you have on hand. If you prefer digital tools, programs like Canva or even Word work well! I use Procreate

5. Print & Assemble: Make photocopies or print them at home. You can alzojust remake them by hand. Fold, staple, or bind them together however you like

6. Share It: Hand them out to friends, leave them in local spots, or share them online as PDFs

Zines are all about self-expression, so don’t worry about making it perfect—it’s your creation, and that’s what matters. Invite friends to contribute, try different styles, and most importantly, have fun with it.

are you a long-suffering merlin fan? If so, perhaps you'd enjoy my new fic, which is a comedy of errors starring a poor little chambermaid who is roped into helping Merlin hide from his own inauguration feast -- unaware that he is the fabled sorcerer Emrys. I think Dick and Jason would have multiple “what the actual fuck are you saying right now” with Tim and Damian when it comes to quality of life/monetary differences. Sure, Dick and Jason got used to Bruce’s “is $100 a good enough tip on a $30 bill?” shit, but hearing Tim talking about a new laptop he bought for $5000 literally is like a punch in the gut.

If they ever went on a cruise (which they totally wouldn’t because cruises are floating death traps), Jason and Dick would be in awe of the fancy amenities, where as Damian would be unsatisfied with the quality, since he grew up with every single amenity known to man. Tim would just feel like it’s all normal since the Drake’s were extravagant and travelled all over the planet.

Jason : My bedroom is bigger than my fucking apartment.

Dick : I could do a full gymnastics routine with the space in my room.

Jason : You grew up in a mega mansion. I hardly think you’re the benchmark of a normal room-

Damian : I must agree with Drake. This room is frankly underwhelming.
