long comic under the cut
something about cotl and its repeating theme of broken families tears me apart. we got narinder and his broken god family. we got the lamb and their broken sheep family. we got aym and baal and their broken family with their mother. we also got aym and baal with a broken ish family with nari. because hes all they know, and theyre all he knew for so very long. and they see each other as family. but naris so repressed about his feelings and in denial about being their adoptive dad so instead they became his disciples and he raised them as distantly as he could manage while also balancing the fact that deep inside he wants them close because he loves them as sons and always has. im broken about it.
Uuugh, I hate this part with a passion
Just suck between deciding whether to make his head more like his youtooz design or his promotional art & maidress photo design...
...Like both aren't inaccurate to the in-game reference, so they'd both work...
... and whilst I know I'll figure it out, it's still really chobblesome to deal with.
Didn't have the same issue with the goat. It was just making a rectangle with a face
I haven't seen any other fan theories like this, but if anyone else thought of this first, please let me know.
Anyways, alchemy obviously plays a big part in the magic system of the protocol universe. And I've seen several people bring up that Celia mentioned the three primes of alchemy. Based on my very non-expert google knowledge, the three primes are salt, mercury, and sulfur. Salt represents the body, mercury represents the mind, and sulfur represents the soul.
In other words, physical horror, psychological horror, and existential horror. There are three fear entities in this universe; Salt, which is fear relating to the body/physical harm, Mercury, which is mental/emotional fears, & Sulfur, which is existential fears. This lines up pretty well with what Colin said:
This time, the way to keep the entities from entering our world is to keep them balanced. And based on what we've seen, the way to keep the balance is probably by sacrificing people to them.
This next part is a bit of a stretch & I don't expect it to be right. Something interesting I noticed, all the Externals we've met so far seem to be Salt-coded. Maybe the OIAR is only in charge of the salt part of the balance? What if the Hilltop Center and the Magnus Institute were in charge of the other two elements? Colin didn't mention what happens when there's too much salt, but we might see that for ourselves soon.
Well, venice was fun but everything has its time. The sights were lovely, did a lot of cool stuff, also...
It's.... beautiful...
I'm literally crying! This came out so well! Absolutely chuffed to bits.
Here are s'more looks of them
How it started vs how it's going
Had some minor complications sewing the bottom, but all together, he's come out perfectly!
The little crown is just so cute <3
All that's left is to embroider the mouth & eyebrows, then I'll get started on the cape
Movie rant, wth No spoilers, cause I just watched it earlier and I can not sleep
Why?!... Why didn't anyone warn me about how much of an ABSOLUTE tearjerker this movie is? All everyone said was that the voices didn't ruin the movie and that's it's "pretty good" I expected to come into an okay movie with stunning visuals, NOT to be spending half the movie crying my eyes out I... I think this has become my favourite movie. I'm not even that emotional often. Especially with other people in the room, but jfc, did it get the job done. Stunning visuals gripping narrative and fantastic sound design. Will other people probably not like it as much as I did? Oh, for sure! but srsly go watch it, it's still a great movie regardless
Made some adjustments to narinder's head. It's larger, making the ears fit better proportionally...
Look at his widdle, grumpy face...
... also, I'm not entirely sure whether I should add a tail or keep it in line with the follower form? Eh, that's what prototypes are for anyway. I'll figure something out
Going off of each episode so far, here's my current prediction for the S2 finale...
...I'm not sure if it's spoilers or not. Better safe than sorry, iykyk
Okay, but I'm low-key obsessed with this idea.
Titan plushies, but you can open up the cockpits like a lunchbox. And they have a mini pilot inside
