Five-year-old Mariam,๐with her bright pink backpack and tiny hands clutching a red rose, was ready to head to her KG2 class. It was a Saturday morning, October 7, and Mariam was filled with excitement and pride for reaching the next stage of her education. She wanted to surprise her kind teacher with that little rose. But in an instant, her world โ our world โ was torn apart.
Without warning, the skies filled with the sounds of explosions. The joyful morning turned into a nightmare of dust, fear, and destruction. Her preschool was shattered, her teacherโs life taken, and our neighborhood became a place of ruin. That single day marked the beginning of a relentless assault on Gaza โ a place where childhood dreams, laughter, and innocence were erased in moments.
I am Khaled Ismail, a 41-year-old father, and my wife Rasha is 32. We live in Gaza with our three children. Our youngest, beautiful Mariam๐, is just five years old. Our eldest, Walid, 12, is a boy full of dreams, always hoping to become an inventor. And in the middle, thereโs Karim, our 10-year-old, whose laughter and jokes used to brighten our darkest days.
But the war has left scars that words cannot heal. The day of the first airstrike changed everything. Rubble covered their toys, and black dust filled the air. The sound of my childrenโs cries mixed with the chaos of families running for their lives. We left our home that day, desperately searching for safety. But every step, every shelter, brought only more destruction.
For a year now, we have been displaced, moving from one place to another, only to be met with more violence. Today, our home is nothing more than a frail tent. It offers no shelter from the burning heat of summer or the biting cold of winter. My childrenโs small bodies are battered by this reality โ malnutrition, intestinal infections, heat stroke, and even hepatitis are constant threats.
I have nothing left to change our situation. My children have lost everything. I have lost everything. Their childhood is buried under the rubble, their dreams replaced by survival, and their once-joyful laughter now a faint memory.
I am humbly reaching out to you with a plea to help us escape this endless nightmare. Our dream is simple: to find safety, to give our children a chance at life, to give Mariam and her brothers a future. With every dollar, you offer a glimmer of hope, a step closer to a place where they can finally be children again.
Please, be the reason my family finds peace. Your support, even just one dollar, can make all the difference. Together, we can turn this story of despair into one of hope and resilience. Start today, and be a part of the miracle we need.
Help Mariam๐. Help my family. Let us find a place to live with dignity and hope. Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.
"I am Youssef, an 18-year-old young man, and my dreams and hopes vanished in an instant. My familyโs house in Khan Yunis was destroyed, and I found myself and my family living in a displacement camp in Deir al-Balah, under the scorching sun, inside a tent swaying in the wind. I wake up every morning to the sounds of waves crashing on the shore, but they no longer mean anything to meโthey only remind me of the freedom we lost and the life we once had..."
Hello everyone! As of writing this, Youssef is at $3,877 out of his EXTREMELY ACHIEVABLE $15,000 goal. He has only gotten eight don@tions in the past day. Youssef is asking for $15,000 to support himself and his family, mainly for medicine, shelter, and food, which are hellishly scarce as a manifestation of Israel's genocide. He is only 18 and he is responsible for his family's SURVIVAL. Please take the time to read Youssef's own words on his GFM page, as well as on his tumblr account, @yousefjehad3 . Read them, stare at them, process them. Let them truly sink in. Then, go to his fundr@iser and DON@TE. Every single coin you can spare counts, because everyone's small contributions will snowball into a massive one. None of these fundr@isers reached their goal because of one loaded don0r. It was always a group effort.
And, whether or not you're able to d0nate - SHARE, with your family, your friends, your groupchats, your tumblr followers, so that someone who can will have the chance to see it! If you are on Tumblr, you are able to reblog.
Don't ever think your contributions are useless. They provide material help and are expressions of care during impossibly dire times. Palestinians quantifiably cannot afford your apathy.
Youssef's GFM is vetted. He is shown on line 255 on the Vetted Gaza Evacuation Fundr@iser List by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi.
(btw, I've heard that it's not a good idea to tag posts like this with terms such as correctly-spelled 'don@tions,' which is why I'm spelling things as such. I encourage you to refrain from tagging your reblogs with these terms just in case..)
๐An urgent appeal to save my mother's life ๐
I turn to you today when I desperately need your help and support to save the life of my mother, who is suffering from critical health conditions and needs urgent and continuous treatment. My mother suffers from [the disease Covid-19] and she needs [the required treatment such as medications, care, and continuous medical care], the costs of which exceed our modest financial capacity.
We have exhausted all our resources trying to get her treatment, but the cost is beyond what we can afford. My mother is in desperate need of your help, even with a small contribution, to complete treatment and preserve her life. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference in my motherโs life. For those who want to help, you can donate at the link

๐จ Vetted Fundraiser ๐จ
My name is Amira, I am 23 years old, and this is my story, filled with challenges and pain๐.
Four years ago, I lost my father and became responsible for my family. I took on the responsibility of caring for my sick mother and siblings, working hard as a university assistant and a programmer in a company. I was building my future step by step, enduring all the hardships ๐.
But the war turned my life upside down. I lost my home, my job, my university, and everything I worked for. We were displaced seven times in search of safety, and each time we hoped to find a better place. We are currently in Al-Zawayda, living in a school for displaced people, and we face harsh conditions every day๐ฅ.
This is a glimpse of our daily suffering, as we lack the most basic necessities of life. Every day, we face challenges that turn survival into a constant struggle in unforgiving conditions๐.
The accumulated waste around our area poses a serious health hazard, polluting the air and spreading diseases that have affected us all. Both our children and the elderly suffer from illnesses due to this ongoing pollution, in a situation that threatens our lives and health every day๐.
My heart longs for family gatherings, and I feel nostalgic for the moments we used to spend together. Now, we are separated between the north and the south, and we haven't seen each other for ten months๐ฅ.
I miss every corner of my room, which was my safe haven. Those corners hold my memories and reflect my peace, and I yearn to return to them๐งก.
I also miss my working life, which, despite being exhausting, gave my life meaning and purpose. I miss the days of work and the effort I used to put in ๐.
And I long for the feeling of success and pride that filled me after achieving my goals in my studies and work. These memories of my accomplishments remind me of the joy of success๐.
I live every day amidst challenges, trying to stay strong despite all the difficulties. I try to be the support for my family, providing them with basic needs despite the scarcity of resources. And despite everything, I still believe that tomorrow will be better๐คฒ๐ฝ.
I need your help. You can support us by donating and sharing the campaign link. Your support could save an entire family from death and give us hope in these difficult times. Thank you for your support and care๐๐.

Help my family EVACUATE from Gaza..
Hello,My name is Ayad from Gaza๐๐ข
On October 7th, my family and I were subjected to an Israeli airstrike that completely destroyed our home. We miraculously survived the attack and fled to Al-Shifa Hospital, thinking it would be safer. However, this place was also in bombed, forcing us to escape once again. The hearts of my nieces and nephews, Nasser, Jana, Mohammed, and Hind, were filled with fear and terror. We struggled to pull them out from under the rubble amidst their screams and cries.
Our lives have turned into a living hell, surrounded by fire and phosphorus everywhere, as if we are trapped in a nightmare from which we cannot wake up. I developed a severe sensitivity to the smoke and phosphorus, and I began to suffer from respiratory issues. To this day, I continue to struggle with the effects of phosphorus exposure, and I have not found any treatment to alleviate my condition, which worsens day by day.
After fleeing to southern Gaza, we now live in a very small tent. We have no home, no food, and we are not living a humane life with even the minimum necessities. Our means of livelihood have been cut off, as my father's company was completely destroyed, with the machinery burned and the goods and vehicles turned to ashes.
I am Iyad, and my dream was to continue my university studies, but my university was destroyed, and my dream ended there. I have always aspired to study accounting and become an accountant.
I appeal to anyone with a sense of humanity to help me and my family escape to a safe place. I need assistance in treating my sensitivity and respiratory issues, as well as support to continue my education and fulfill my dream. I need travel abroad, receive medical treatment, and resume my studies.
Thank you to everyone who helps me and my family to find safety.๐๐ผ
Iyad
