I made things!
(apollo cheese for the low quality picture)
For those of you who have read Scythe by Neal Shusterman AND know the Life series, hear me out here:
Scar as a Scythe. The man so afraid to kill now the one sentenced to bring death to every. Single. Person.
And his final test would be to redo Third Life, same ending fight and everything, except this time, he wins.
I don't care who does it, I just need this to exist 😭
"Isn't this what you wanted?
Time sure feels like it's running out
Just finish what you started
Queen of nothing, wearing
Such a heavy crown"
(Song - Queen of Nothing by The Crane Wives)
Is it just me or does Ren's area in exile look like an aged, rotted version of Dogwarts...?
I recently finished watching Jimmy’s Third Life so naturally I had to make fanart
I love how Jimmy accidentally proposes to Scott and is like “I meant love for the flowers” and Scott was just like “no”
I was trying out a new style and I actually think it didn’t turn out too bad!
(Tumblr how dare you ruin the image quality 😭 click for (hopefully) better quality)
Song - Caleb Trask by The Crane Wives
From the Ashes
Based on the hybrid ideas of @fifthhaemony! I love the idea of Jimmy as a phoenix so I had to draw him
Was I researching bird anatomy late at night for this? Yes. Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not
A dragon puppet I finished a couple nights ago! :D It is based on Gem’s red Secret Life skin because yes (more specifically, @lonksadventures’ version of it because I love that version)
Just some helpful theatre tips from one theatre person to another to help you along your theatre journey :D
Line set, stage, and large props with glow tape! This is very important to keep your cast and crew safe during blackout. The best way to charge them is to move a flashlight back and forth on the tape, it only takes a few seconds.
If you're working backstage, make a list of scenes in order, what props/set pieces are involved, and who's moving them - this helps SO MUCH during dress rehearsals.
Have a crew meeting every rehearsal if possible to help keep communication up. This includes EVERYONE in crew (props, lights, sound, set, costumes, etc.)
Don't give up if you don't get a part you auditioned for! There are still so many ways to be involved and just because you did not get a role does not mean you can't act. Keep going.
You don't have to have any experience in technical theatre to join stage crew! You will learn very quickly and your directors will help you with anything.
Don't be afraid to be bossy, especially if you're in a leading position! You can have fun but you also need to keep things in line.
It is ok to be yourself. Don't let others define you.
Although you don't have to, try your best to learn as many names as you can. Even if that means referring to them as their role name. They will respond to it, lol. (I have started responding to "costumes")
IT IS OK TO CRY. Theatre means struggle. It means emotions and goodbyes. But it also means fulfillment and finding your people. It is ok to cry. <3
The sound goblins must have batteries for the microphones. Or else the sound goblins cannot do sound goblin things and people will be sad but they will be sad quietly. We want them to be sad loudly.
Feel free to add any more!
These are some drawings I’ve made over the past few months of songs as dragons! Most of their colors are based off their album covers, but if not, then they’re based off of the color/vibe they give. Originally I was going to post these one per day but I don’t have the patience for that so…here you go
A quick fWhip drawing because he deserves more attention :)
All the lonely people,
where do they all come from?
All the lonely people…
where do they all belong?
(song - Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles) (but the version I had stuck in my head while drawing this was the cover by Cinematic Pop)
