Ursula K. Le Guin's 1969 novel The Left Hand of Darkness was a big deal in feminist science fiction for being one of the first widely popular and critically acclaimed works to do cool shit with sex and gender (which was certainly nothing new, but previous such works had rarely "taken off" the way LHoD did). This is my first post on my first art blog (unless I have another one that I forgot about which is VERY possible)! I haven’t been drawing much in a while, but I want to encourage myself to do more illustration since I finally am getting illustration classes next semester after being stuck with graphic design courses for like forever, SO ANYWAYS!!!

These are two of my original characters, Jay and Kiara! I want to make a comic about them some day, so I drew this scene a while ago to show where they meet. I’ll probably finish this with a real background, better lighting, and more color in the future at some point, but not yet.

If you have to ask this question, the answer is no.
