Relationship hcs for Van Augur?

It was only fate that brought this ask to me. (I love this dude’s style. Just sayin’.)

Van Augur Relationship Headcanons:

Van is a protective boyfriend. No matter the situation, he’s always on the lookout for any kind of potential danger that might target his partner. If he feels they’re threatened, he’s prone to shooting the culprit first and asking questions about the attack later.

When he and his partner go out, Van Augur likes to take his partner out for some fine dining. He likes how classy they look and enjoys making them feel like royalty. He gets recommendations for restaurants from Lafitte.

You wouldn’t guess it, but Van gets flustered really easily. All his partner has to do is saunter over to him, touch his cheek, and place a little kiss on his nose. After that, he’s all red ears and awkwardness, diverting his gaze to the side to hide his shyness. This goes double if his partner does this in front of Blackbeard and the crew.

Despite his seemingly emotionless demeanor, Van is actually really talented at soothing a crying s/o. He doesn’t freak out like some men and, instead, wraps his arms around them and calmly talks them out of their hysterics. Once they’ve settled down a little, he’ll ask them what upset them and listen closely.

Van and his partner sleep in separate rooms, even though neither is uncomfortable being intimately close. This is because Van snores like a motor engine and keeps his partner up late into the night. His room has to be soundproofed for the crew’s sake. 

Following Lafitte, Van is the most gentlemanly person on the crew. He puts his s/o’s needs above his own, such as using his cape to protect them from the rain during a storm.

While it isn’t usually possible, Van tries to limit the amount of time his partner has to spend with his crew. For the most part, this is because he doesn’t want his crewmates to bother his partner with their eccentric natures, but there are a couple men that he worries will try to steal his s/o from him. 

Every morning, Van and his partner watch birds while the sun is rising. 

I can’t wait to see my boy after his trauma arc.

Putin' on the ritz - Laffitte x Reader

The police department you worked at was being overrun with marines. Since the great age of piracy had begun, the precinct was taken over by the marines, your job was practically comprised of doing all the paperwork for the them. You dreaded each day you came in, all you wanted was everything to go back to normal, but it didn’t look like that would’ve been happening anytime soon.

Day by day, officers in the precinct would just up and quit, even the most senior officers. It was down to a trickle of actual policeman. Your partner, Laffitte, seemed unaffected by the sudden change if pace. He would come in with his usual smile and positive attitude, then casually get to work at his desk. He was your only reason for not quitting, he gave you a sense of hope, that things would be just fine. Sometimes you would catch yourself gazing at him from across the office, watching his tall slender figure walk around the office with stacks of paperwork in hand. Your eyes cascading around each and every detail of his being, your eyes suddenly stopping at his thin stretched lips before drawing lower to his crotch area, wondering what kind of beast he could be hiding under those uniform pants.

Most recently, there had been a string of murders of officers in the area, there were no leads as to who had been committing the serial murders, but it was suspected that a bitter police officer may be behind the crimes. Though, all the remaining officers in the precinct were questioned, not once have you ever suspected Laffitte, he seemed too devoted to his work, keeping everything in order while still giving everyone a seemingly warm smile.

‘No, it couldn’t be him,’ you thought as you gazed at him once again from your desk. Today was much slower than usual, not many marines were in due to a recent murder of another officer this morning. “Is there something you need, _____?” Asked Laffitte, his gaze still focused down at the paperwork in front of him. You were snapped from your focused gaze and looked away with a blush, “n-no, I-I was just staring off into space,” you stammer. “Really? You tend to do that quite often in my direction,” he mused. 'Oh shit! Has he noticed this entire time?!’ You thought, never realizing he knew the entire time that you were watching him.

Later that day, the police chief had called you two into his office, you were assigned to investigate the murders and sweep each crime scene for any evidence that was missed. After leaving the office, you both promptly got started on examining each and every crime scene, starting from the first location a body was found. Laffitte and yourself examined the scene like a fine tooth comb, all the while he hummed a tune. “What’s that song your humming?” You asked in the midst of your examination. “Putin’ on the ritz,” he tells you as he dusts for prints. “Never heard of it, how does it go?” He rumbles a laugh before starting, “if your blue, and you don’t know, where to go to, why don’t you go, where fashion sits, putin’ on the ritz.”

Through the first few crime scenes, he would hum that tune before you started joining in, making work less serious and tense. When you reached the second to last crime scene, a dimly lit alleyway, you seemed to have gotten distracted, your eyes started to focus on him instead of work. He took notice, though his eyes were still transfixed on work, “am I too distracting for you, _____?” He asks, “n-no, it’s not that,” you blushed, “I-I just can’t seem to keep my eyes off you very long,” you admitted as your blush became more intense. He pauses his examining and turns to you, “I see, you have a lot of sexual tension towards me,” he rumbles as he walks towers you. “Wha-what?!” You stammer, your face burning from your immense blush, he simply chuckles and presses you up against the wall of the alleyway, “shall I help you alleviate your tension?”

You bite your lip as your stare up at him, contemplating on whether or not to take him up on his proposition. He just simply stared down at you with is usual smile, awaiting your response patiently. You hesitantly gave him a nod, looking away shyly, exposing your neck a bit. He takes the opportunity to bend down and lightly lap his soft, pointed tongue up from your shoulder to your ear lobe, sending a pleasured shiver go up your spine. His hands then felt their way to your sides and slides them down to your bum, lightly grasping it with his long fingers as he nibbled on your earlobe. You pressed yourself against him and breathe your hot breath against his neck, lightly gripping at his arms as you became aroused. His hands slowly made their way back up slightly, gently going around you with the very tips of his fingers, gingerly making their way to the front of your uniform pants and undoing them with ease.

He then lifted you up against the brick wall, removing your pants in the process. One hand held you up as the other reached for his pants to undo his as well. His hand moved swiftly and pulled his pants low enough for his long, thick member to fling out, hitting against your inner thigh. You gazed down at it as he positioned himself at your entrance, biting your bottom lip anxiously as he does. He slowly then entered his length inside you, making you heat up more so than you already were. He watched your face as he started to move his hips rhythmically inside you. You moved your lips to his neck and nibbled, trying to keep your moaning as quiet as possible. He rumbles a laugh at your attempt to keep quiet and moves at a swifter pace, making it much harder for you. “Laffitte,” you moaned quietly, gripping tightly at his shoulders, the sound of you moaning his name driving his thrusts wilder. You were at your breaking point, letting out one final loud moan as you climaxed above him. He chuckles at your climatic, blissful expression, slowing down his thrusts and pulling out of you, gently and carefully brining you back to the solid ground, helping you stand and straighten out.

“Do you feel better?” He inquires, you cheerfully nod in response, “thank you.” He chuckles and offers a friendly smile before straightening himself out, “shall we move on to the last crime scene?” He asks, “yea, let’s get to it,” you chimed, grasping his hand and guiding him to the last location. As you made your way to the last location, you caught a glint of something shining beside the body outline. You released his hand and rushed over to examine it, swiftly putting on your gloves and kneeling down to carefully pick it up. You picked up a monogrammed silver lighter, as you examined it, it read 'Laffitte’ on the front. Your face froze in shock as you stood up. He hummed in the background as you were momentarily frozen, “if your blue,” he sung darkly, walking slowly behind you, “and you don’t know,” he pulled out his gun and cocked it, “where to go to,” your face changed from shock to horror, “why don’t you go where fashion sits,” you turn your head back to him slowly as he pointed his gun at your head, firing it at you without warning with a dark grin gracing his face, “putin’ on the ritz.”

I didn’t MEAN to just blitz out a bunch of smoke beast Percy sketches, but it just kind of happened (especially given the last sketch I did, which I included in this post). This is me noodling about and figuring out how I want to render him, nailing down posing and shit while I think of a nice finished piece I might be able to do.

I WILL figure out how I want to draw that darn jaw. Right now it’s coming out way too Otachi (which given my tendencies over the past couple years, that’s no surprise), and not enough avian. Oh well, I’ll figure it out. That’s what concept sketching is for.
