So I just finished Inheritance Games.

Yall Avery is definitely better than me bc if I just inhereted a mansion a couple billion dollars and a football team I truly would NAWT give a damn about solving the mystery. Also even though the DNA test came back clear it feels like the story is setting her up to be somehow related to the Hawthornes and idk how I feel about that. Only bc i think it would make the dynamic with her and Jameson weird in my own opinion. I also feel like it would make it more weird seeing as Nash and Libby are probably endgame. It's giving "What are you doing bro-in-law." Also again Avery is better than me bc i would have evicted all of em the moment Jameson showed up in my rooma t night through the fireplace like girl W H A T. I Would had that whole place locked tf down after that. It is revealed that the boy's mom let Drake into the house was kind of a given tbh, so I knew it wasn't Libby or the brothers, and I didn't think the staff cared as long as they got paid so it was DEFINATLY one of the sisters. And Zara looked like the easy pick bc shes kinda rough around the edgeds but a general rule of thumb especially in a who done it situation is always going to be the softer or more "innocent" one. I'm kind of disappointed Thea didn't play a bigger role in this story likeeeeeee I want more of the highshcool queen mother Yanno. Idk I just feel like given enough chances she'd eat. Overall I liked the book I already have the whole series so I'm starting book 2 today.

Cassian meant it when he said everyone fucking hates her. That didn’t just pop into his head in the heat of the moment. When he said he felt shackled to her. When he took her on a hike until she passed out. Every single time he used her for sex. Every single time he defended Rhys when nesta needed his support. Every single time he waxed poetic about the good qualities he sees in Mor and Feyre and bemoaned the terrible qualities he sees in nesta. Every single day nesta was locked in that house, he hated her. Laughed at her struggling. Starved her of every good thing she’d ever said she wanted. He hated her through it all.

This was a book written by a woman, against women. The dichotomy between good and bad is irrelevant— sjm only cares about the difference between women who obey men and women who need to be punished for disobedience. She promotes themes of SA, violence against women, and general brutality that uses women’s trauma as plot devices (primarily to promote male ‘heroism’).

For some reason when I think of Jack Barlowe all I can think of is Alexander Ludwig in the hunger games. Like that's what he looks like in my head.

Rhysand is an idiot for getting angry at Nesta for handing over the Mask to Bryce, I don’t care.

He specifically delegated the task of accompanying Bryce to Nesta and Azriel.

He refused to look into Bryce’s mind.

So Nesta did what the IC asked of her, gaining information and getting a read on Bryce - and then Rhysand has the nerve to threaten to execute her when she makes an educated decision?

Ultimately, Nesta was the one who got to know Bryce. Rhysand’s judgement wouldn’t have been more accurate than hers. ‘Bryce could’ve fed her lies.’ But did you read the interactions between Nesta and her? How they opened up to each other, in a way that they both knew despite everything else happening, that that was sincere?

Besides, Nesta has always been sharp-minded. When has she ever let rose-tinted glasses get in the way of seeing someone for who they are? She is intelligent, and she doesn’t let her feelings get in the way of discernment.

Rhysand had his many opportunities, but gladly handed them off. If you want to be in control so badly to the point you’re willing to kill someone for disobeying, respectfully, take matters into your own fucking hands from the beginning.

I have yet to see Rhysand do one thing that is even remotely intelligent. Has he ever been useful, like truly? When it really came down to it?
