hold on a fucking second. delaware is a state?? i thought it was a river? or is the river more important than the state? why don't i know this? (i should mention i don't like in america, i'm just confused)
there is delaware (state) and delaware (river)
both are equally strange
the state is a tiny little cryptid thing
the rive is a monster that spans new york, pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. also washington crossed it once and that was like kinda a big deal i guess. like crossing the rubicon in rome.
the state tries to me more important with its “im the first state!!!” bs (seriously its even on the fucking license plates) but we all know. its the river.
Citra's middle name is Querida. I don't speak Spanish, but I'm pretty sure "querida" means "darling."
Greyson's middle name is TIMOTHY, which apparently means "God's honor," "honored by God," "honoring God," etc. which... lmfao I love him so much.
Rowan's is Daniel, which means "God is my judge."
So, we have: Citra "everyone's angel to protect at all costs" Terranova, Greyson "the Thunderhead's blatant favouritism" Tolliver, and Rowan "only God can judge me" Damisch.
Sounds about right
Ok so another reason why I think Lucanis’ romance lock-in scene is peak romance is that, saying as a professional pastry chef, every SINGLE one of those desserts he makes is a pain in the GODDAMN ass, and he does it WITHOUT MODERN KITCHEN EQUIPMENT. If that’s not love I don’t know what is.
The progress of my hand-embroidered Sera character card from Dragon Age Inquisition.
75 hours, 11.5x19.5 cm
I just think it's kinda funny if Rook is a Grey Warden mage given Varric's experience with them in both DA2 and DAI. Truly a wildcard.
It’s hard to be Piltover’s Finest.
He's got that irresistible Mysterious Italian Attachment Style(c) with social awkwardness sprinkled on top.
Guys. Pls. Read it's perfect TTwTT
With nothing but a broken mp3 player, 18¢, a “fun-sized” bag of M&Ms, and a wallet full of gift cards that may or may not be expired, describe how you saved humanity from extinction.
I’ve been playing Dragon Age: Inquisition again lately, and I was pondering a new fic idea (and despairing because Josephine is so competent that she renders my central conflict moot the moment she appears on the scene) when the following popped into my head a refused to leave. I’m almost certain someone has done this before, but on the off chance they haven’t -
(To the tune of “What is This Feeling?” from Wicked)
DORIAN: Dearest Darlingest Felix and Maevaris
BULL: Fellow Ben-Hassrath Agents
BOTH: There’s been some confusion, over rooming here at Skyhold
BULL: But of course, I’ll do my duty
DORIAN: But of course, I’ll rise above it
BOTH: For I know that’s how you’d want me to respond. Yes, there’s been some confusion for you see, my room-mate is…
DORIAN: Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe…
BULL: A Vint.
(The rest of the song pretty much continues as originally written)
wait why wouldn't horikoshi make bakugou accountable for his mistakes? has he done something like that before?
I'm new in the fandom so I don't know much
Because Hori has been pushing this narrative that Bakugo has "changed" even though Bakugo has done nothing to prove it, other than being slightly more willing to work with others. And even then, only on his own terms.
Bakugo still treats Midoriya badly, still referring to him as "Deku", which is not a cutesy childhood nickname, but an insult which means "Useless" or "Limbless doll".
He only told All Might that he bullied Midoriya, without giving the full story, which means that nobody truly knows the extent of what he's done.
On top of that, Bakugo blames Midoriya's self-sacrificing tendencies on All Might, when it's actually his bullying that led Midoriya into believing that he's only useful when he's helping others, which is every kind of messed up when you look at the latest manga chapters.
And spoiler alert: Bakugo leading class 1-A to bring Midoriya back by force? Not good. I have a whole entire list of abusive traits that apply to Bakugo's treatment of Midoriya, if you want to check my anti bkdk tag, and Bakugo searching for Midoriya so he can keep tabs on his victim? Not good. Not to mention, Bakugo has the entire class (aka Midoriya's first real friends) backing him up, which is isolating, and manipulating Midoriya to come back where Bakugo can control and keep him under his thumb; yet again, more abuse tactics.
Hori has this whole "show-don't-tell" kind of thing with his narrative, and it pisses me off to no end, especially when it comes to abusers like Bakugo and Endeavor, who are made out to be somewhat sympathetic, and their "redemption arcs" seem to mainly focus on their own individual pain, rather than their victims.
Also, I want to add that Bakugo is Hori's favourite character, and for whatever reason, he keeps winning the popularity polls so Hori can't exactly give him actual development, or else that'd mean losing readers (honestly, it's sloppy writing at best).
I hope this cleared things up for you, Anon, and I'm sorry about the essay, but that is the reason why I believe that Hori is going to wimp out, and probably make Bakugo give some half-assed apology and then go right back to mistreating Midoriya. I don't really answer asks like this as much as I used to, so please nobody come to my inbox with anti bkg takes.
